Silly Repwublican, the Obwama Gwovernment IS THE NEW “CAPITALIST SYSTEM”! Zeig Heil! Zeig Heil Obama!

LETTER FOR OUR LEGISLATORS, PASS IT ON   July 29th, 2009 - 4:13 pm

Dear Legislator,

I am completely against the current ram-rodding through Congress of
two very significant pieces of legislation: healthcare reform and
energy/carbon reduction. I urge you to VOTE NO on both Bills. These
issues are too important to be rushed through without a thorough
discussion in the public realm, with input from American taxpayers.
We need to get it RIGHT, not just get it done! Additionally, both of
these bills are way too complex, expensive, with too much pork,
especially the energy/carbon bill).

1. On healthcare: We don´t need everybody in our country on
Medicare. We must preserve private enterprise and try to reduce
taxes, not increase them. And please: no illegal aliens on my tax
dime! Further, any provision that would take benefits away from our
SENIOR CITIZENS in order to try to finance this Health Bill must be
removed, and any “END OF LIFE” COUNSELING that would try to pressure
SENIORS into foregoing health treatment must be not only removed but
strongly CONDEMNED. This Bill is a legislative nightmare that must
not pass.

2. On energy/carbon: Where are the nuclear power plants, the obvious
low-hanging fruit? Nuclear is not the dangerous proposition it
perhaps once was (look at France, et al.). As for carbon trading:
From what I can see, it is not working in Europe (Scientific
American). Also, the major emerging markets (China, India, etc.) are
not going to participate any time soon. Further, WHY PENALIZE
HOMEOWNERS, many of whom are under-water with diminishing home
values, with a scheme to force them to upgrade their houses before
they can put them on the market for sale? This Bill is ill-conceived.

Your response to the above will determine whether you will be removed
or voted back into office next time around.

Thank you for your time in reading my concerns,

Sincerely,

An Irate Taxpayer-American-Voter

Pure non-sense. Imagine if small businesses didn’t have to pay insurance companies for their employees health insurance (single payer)? I’m sure businesses would hate it. No one challenges anyone on t.v. who are these actuaries?

Trent   July 29th, 2009 - 4:25 pm

He’s right about this, but look at his record. Complete neocon scum. Complete NWO sellout.

kmichaels   July 29th, 2009 - 4:36 pm

Hey, dumb arse racist anti-white Barry Bonds, did you take lessons on being stupid? If the government supplies the health care then the small businesses and the workers pay for it in increased taxes, you MORON. Either way the small businesses will pay, as well as the regular workers as well as the regular taxpayers. Of course Barry Bonds does not care if the taxpayers have to pay extra because no doubt that air-headed moron is on the receiving side of benefits, not the paying side. That selfish fool will be more than glad to have the government steal from the taxpayers to subsidize his waisted useless life.

As to this story the smart republican out-shined the idiot liberal non news reporting idiot by a long shot.

I guess Obama was not so right after all.

Barry Bonds   July 29th, 2009 - 5:27 pm

Do you think the government pushing down costs on health and the collective (entire U.S) paying for the NEW cost do you think it would be more or less than if the insurance companies had their way with a smaller segment of the population? Take your time.

Oh, by the way, cops NEVER lie on police reports. I wonder what story the people who police the police (internal affairs) would tell about their fellow officers?

Barry Bonds   July 29th, 2009 - 5:30 pm

You know this POS is lying because he is interested in protecting the interests of the insurance companies. He is using a straw man arguement on top of it. Some companies are going to have to scale back but they are still going to offer supplemental plans based on what the government insurance program is going to “lack”.

Just think of it this way. There are hundreds of thousands of cheap cars on the market and yet Mercedes Benz and Rolls Royce and the other luxury car makers seems not to mind. The same will be true for health care.

kmichaels   July 29th, 2009 - 5:44 pm

The government has never once pushed down costs when they get into the social arena so it would be a cold day in hell (barry bonds hometown) to think that the government will suddenly become capable of keeping costs down. Remember that last black president that said he would use a scalpel to cut expenses but failed to mention that at the same time he would use a thousand dump-trucks to add even more expenses? Yeah. barry bond is stupid and misinformed, we got that part. But what about you decent voters? Are you sure that you can trust the known liar in chief when he says he will cut expenses at the same time he raises expenses to record levels and outspends the last 8 years in six months? Seriously, it is time for a reality check. As to protecting Insurance companies, banks, auto industry from failed socialism, only a god damned idiot like Barry Bonds and Barry Obama would be against them. I, being wise and conservative find it to my own self interest and that of the entire country to continue letting free enterprise be free and not under the thumbs of some god damned socialist pig like Obama, Pelosi, Franks, Reid, etc.

Barry Bonds   July 29th, 2009 - 6:03 pm

…”government has never once pushed down costs”… Hyperbole much?

Big Tobacco killing millions of people (literally) is what you get when you let “free enterprise” run free. What about letting Microsoft run free? What about letting AT&T run free? What about letting Big Oil run free? What about letting Enron run free? Yes, my friends the best thing for everyone is when large corporation COLLUDE and make the world a better place for themselves. Oh, we forgot Bernie… prime example of free enterprise running free with peoples savings. Let’s not even mention the banks and the credit card companies which have literally PIMPED the American people. And your answer? Give me more.

Everything has checks and balances… even bad governments like the one we just experienced. You guys screwed up for a very long time and now Obama is doing his best to correct all of your wrongs. Wrongs which you fail to acknowledge which is a true testiment to your arrogance and ignorance.

kmichaels   July 29th, 2009 - 6:17 pm

Big tobacco was known to kill people from the beginning and now that the government has gotten into it smokers now are forced to pay much higher taxes, they still smoke at the same rate and they still get sick at the same rate. Government raised the cost of cigarettes but they are just as prevelant. Obama himself is a smoker. Republicans say just stop smoking because it is bad for you but that it is your choice. The checks and balances on democrats is being slowly removed. Dem majority, a self serving socialist as president and a media that turns a blind eye to Obama’s weaknesses. Again, Barry Bonds, idiot punk moron, tell us how the government brought down any costs. EVER.

kmichaels   July 29th, 2009 - 6:20 pm

BTW, the party that supported ATT, Microsoft and Enron was generally DEMOCRATS. They got the largest donations from all of those companies. And these are examples of government regulations you moron. Not areas that the government does the actual spending.

kmichaels   July 29th, 2009 - 6:21 pm

The party that prosecuted Enron, by the way, was republicans headed by Bush, Barry Bonds, you dimwitted buffoon.

Oh Man KMichaels – I’ve been reading what you ‘ve been up to all day! LOL! Holly Crap you’ve been kicking some serious Liberal but!
Go MAN GO! Keep up the great work!

Barry Bonds   July 29th, 2009 - 9:26 pm

How man debacles does one administration have to preside over before you acknowledge there is a inherent flaw? Under your guys watch you have two failed wars, katrina, enron, worldcom, mortgage crisis, and the dot com crash. Enron was ENABLED by the Bush people and of course you had to clean up your mess there was no other administration in power. And the higher taxes on tobacco definitely results in less users. Simple case of supply and demand.

I don’t have to cite an instance of government involvement bringing down prices because the results of the act itself are explained by simple economics. Ever heard of economies of scale? I will allow you to google it, educate yourself then come back and let us know that you were wrong and I was right.

johng   July 29th, 2009 - 9:30 pm

The Nation is a Communist rag and Katrina is an avowed Marxist.
She couldn’t find her ass with both hands in a free market.

WTF??   July 29th, 2009 - 10:07 pm

Did I mention that me and Larse are butt buddies.

H2K   July 29th, 2009 - 11:27 pm

Barry B, you are nutz. Let’s take ‘em one by one:
Two failed wars? Iran has been a tremendous success with troop levels being reduced as we speak. Part of the Bush plan. Afghanistan must be going well because Obama is sending in more troops. I persoanlly disagree with Obama’s warmongering in Afghanistan (Obama lied, troops died).
Katrina? The democrat governor, democrat senator, and democrat Chocolate City Mayor couldn’t get their sh_t together to help with the evacuation. They were paralized and didn’t even ask the feds for assistance until it was too late. Legally, the state has to request assistance from the feds. (federalism) They played the bl@ck folks in New Orleans as pawns in their game to embarrass Bush. Wise people know better.
Enron and Worldcom – both donated heavily to democrats. I personally don’t see how Bush – who’s policy was not to meddle in the free market – unlike Obama – had anything to do with Enron and Worldcom failing.
Mortgage Crisis – Bush? You gotta be kidding. How many republicans were on the board of Freddie and Fannie? None. How many democrat executives of both Fannie and Freddie got rich on encouraging – by these loan programs – banks to lend money to people who couldn’t pay. This is never a republican program. It could only be democrats. Republicans tried to pass legislation to help straighten it out – liberals called them racists by trying to fix it.
The dot-com crash is your best. The dot.com peak was around March – April 2000. It went downhill fast from there. That was all Bill Clinton, baby. Bush didn’t take office until Jan 2001.

Larse   July 30th, 2009 - 12:09 am

@doogle
“They’re on the run folks…”

YES WE ARE!!!! :D

Barry Bonds   July 30th, 2009 - 8:52 am

Yes, two failed wars and you have done nothing to say otherwise. I don’t know how lowering “troop” levels is a form of success? Your objective to “destroy terrorism” has failed…therefore your wars have failed. You haven’t even killed or captured the main target. Sorry. And Afghanistan in case you don’t remember was the original target and Obama is simply giving the Right red meat to shut them up after he is re-elected he is shutting that down too. “Obama lied, troops died”? That’s just stupid.

Regarding Katrina; you’re telling me that there is a policy in place which states governors have to ask for help from the Federal government before action is taken by FEMA during a national disaster? Do you know how stupid that sounds on the face of it? Let’s assume that is true; what about an over-riding policy? And since the first response didn’t come until 4 day after the storm you’re telling me it took the mayor (who donated to Bush) and the Governor 3 days to figure out the request process even though the governor was said to be on the phone with Bush before the storm hit?

If you don’t know why not regulating companies who have astronomical profit centers caused their eventual meltdown you’re just too dumb to talk to.

Sorry but Bush and Greenspan and their blind eye cause the mortgage crisis. Google it because I don’t want to explain it to a garbage can.

The dot com companies saw their value plummet from 2000 to 2004. Google it. Yeah, Bush wasn’t in office until 2001 – do you think the street saw him coming? Maybe they only see Presidents coming when its Obama. Bush couldn’t do anything positive to save his LIFE!

Republicans NEVER take ownership of their own mess. Typical.

D   July 30th, 2009 - 12:12 pm

to Barry Bonds:

Economies of Scale. Research Ford Motor Company’s failure at taking the ‘economies of scale’ to the n-degree. They built a huge, no HUGE plant that was to take advantage of the economies of scale. It was so big they never were able to reap the promised benefits.

YOu throw out terms, but you don’t know reality. The real health care crisis comes when the government is in control. Governments are wasteful, because they have no reason to be anything but.

Smaller government is better government. It’s the American way.

D   July 30th, 2009 - 12:26 pm

And Liberals ALWAYS appeal to emotion to cover a lack of logic and common sense.

Rex   July 30th, 2009 - 2:54 pm

BarryBonds – yes, the State has to ask for help from the Feds. In the case of Katrina, Bush contacted the Governor before the storm to see if they needed help and she declined his offer. Also if the Mayor had spent the money he received for the repair of the levies (years ago) on the levies, this disaster would have never occurred.

poetopoet   July 31st, 2009 - 3:26 pm

This is not a racial or a ration issue. At what cost to your mama and papa, even you denied hip replacement, etc, etc? Will Obama’s plan deny crack babies care at any of today’s cost? Today estimated at two million dollars for three months of hospital care, per crack. Two 2 billion dollars in 1992, in today’s dollars?

‘Crack babies’ catch up

By DANA KENNEDY, The Associated Press, 12/6/92
“The first wave of crack-exposed children entered first and second grades in New York City this fall, a year after one state report estimated the cost of special care for them could total $2 billion over the next 15 years. Harlem Hospital researchers estimated that the cost of caring for crack babies costs the country $500 million a year. Such statistics have fed the kind of fear that led Ross Perot to invoke the dread specter of “crack babies” during the first presidential debate.”

“Again and again and again, the mother disappears in three days and the child becomes a ward of the state because he’s permanently and genetically damaged,” Perot said. “
