My Presidential Address to the Nation
As President, here is how I would solve our environmental disaster in the gulf, as well as improve our foreign relations.
PRESS CONFERENCE
Good Evening America.
I cannot begin to put into words the pain in my heart over the recent BP oil catastrophe and what is has done to the economies and ecological systems in that region, but we can and will recover from this, and most importantly, we must learn from this.
First, I would like to ask every business in America to chip in a very small contribution to our overall well being as a nation and planet. Most business allot 14 days of paid leave a year to their employees, for Jury Duty. I ask businesses to allow employees to use those 14 days to travel to the Gulf and assist in the clean up efforts & I ask those employees who are able and willing, to volunteer yourself to this effort. I call upon you creative web engineers to create web portals for scientists and theorists to collaborate and share knowledge in an effort to find the best solutions available to the clean up efforts.
The coast guard will remain in the region to assist the public in their clean up efforts. There is no protocol required. I want the people on the ground, engaged in the clean up efforts, to advise the coast guard on what they need to better execute the clean up, then the coast guard reporting the needs to the press, then the lieutenants in the coast guard should convene and determine how the coast guard may best assist their needs. This process needs to be fluid as the needs may change on a day to day basis.
Long term, there is no question that this kind of drilling poses an immense threat to the environment and we must work diligently towards alternative energy sources. This new energy technology can only be created in the critical time frame required, if we allow the private sector the liberty to explore. This exploration requires resources and capital so we must reduce the inflation and tax shackles that this sector is bearing.
As we learn from this catastrophe, we see the need to address potential problems before they become total catastrophes. I have decided that it is in our best economic, environmental, social, and foreign relations interests, to call for a cease fire in the middle east, started by America. This morning, I ordered the withdraw of all American troops from the middle east. This move is above all, a move for peace, but will also drastically reduce the financial burden the world has been bearing for too long. I ask the world to publicly voice their concerns so that we may talk about our issues and arrive at civil middle ground.
We need to reform our tax system soon, but effective immediately, all solar & wind power technology can be bought and sold 100% tax free. Here is a good idea for some of you young entrepreneurs to run with, build wind energy farms above the roadways and in tunnels, to create power as cars drive by, then sell it to the energy company 100% tax free.
I think this is something we can do. We really can forge world peace. We really can create free energy. We really can feed everyone on the planet. We have the technology, we have the resources, we have the passion & courage. Let’s not allow the 21st century turn into a dark age of pain and sorrow. Let us make this an age of enlightenment. An age of rebirth. An age of peace, knowledge, and exploration.

Stop the leak, burn off the surface oil, and stop using dispersants!

So your argument is while Obama got $898,000 from big oil/gas, McCain got more than Obama so it’s OK?
Besides, It’s true that Obama didn’t take money directly from oil companies (as he made a huge deal of during campaign), but then, no presidential, House or Senate candidate does – They Can’t: Corporations have been prohibited from contributing directly to federal candidates since the Tillman Act became law in 1907.
Besides, who cares about McCain? Obama, very unfortunately, is the current, temporary, president – arghh that was hard to admit!
