Finally, a Priest who hasn’t gone insane / to the left. We’re all sinners,and if we’re all held to the same standard, then none of us really deserve Communion. 7. Has admitted to being a binge drinker,Oxycontin abuser(Not prescribed) whilst taking meds for depression.

I had actually considered joining with the Catholic church, but though they teach so much of what I believe, they have no collective resolve or morality. The Lord is not a God of confusion. It appears for Catholics that abortion is a most grievous sin that requires excommunication of those who commit or enable it, yet those with power and money usually get a pass… Pelosi, Kerry and the Kennedys. For the Catholic church, what you really are screams so loudly in my ears that I can not hear what you say. There are many Congressman and Senators that have lost their way with their faiths. Kennedy and many others are not keeping their vows with the Catholic Church, Reid is not keeping his vows with the ‘Latter-Day Saints’ Church, and many others are not keeping with their vows with their other faiths and religions. Abortion goes against every Christian Religion no questions asked. There is no debate, especially when you get into late term abortions. Dear Aaron at 10:00 am…taking communion is a “symbolic” gesture of one’s faith in Christ. Much like celebrating the ‘birth of Christ’ on a specific day in Christmas is symbolic!
December 25th is not the “actual” date of Christ’s birth…it is a symbolic celebration of the birth not the date.
As is, communion is a symbolic outward acceptance of receiving Christ and HIS grace!
Accepting of Christ and HIS grace…take place within one’s heart or soul/spirit…it is not symbolic…it is life changing!
You can take communion every day…every hour and have no such life changing experience and/or cleansing…it is symbolic only!
Many people take communion who do not believe and/or are not believers!
The only way you can somewhat get an inkling of someone’s real faith is how they live and apply the teachings of Christ and his teachings into their daily lives.
And on that topic…someone is going to say that Holy Scriptures say…”judge not lest you be judged”…however…Christ also said that “by their fruits you shall know them”!
In other words…what a person believes and exercises in decision making daily in their own lives…are the true measure of a follower of Christ!
Almighty GOD…part of the Holy Trinity…Father…Son…and Holy Ghost creates every human life. HE reveres the sanctity of life because HE created human life! A soul is created within each and every fetus within the womb.
Anyone who kills that child in the womb or believes that it is justified by certain conditions…is committing murder in the eyes of Almighty GOD and the established churches that hold HIS teachings above all others!
Therefore, Kennedy, believing in abortion (and others like him that call themselves Catholics) are going first of all…against the teachings of Christ…and the teachings of their affiliated church that uphold the belief that Almighty GOD holds every life sacred!
On a personal level, no Priest and/or Pastor has a right, or can judge, a man’s motives!
But when a person is a public person and outwardly professes what he believes…he can be judged…and Kennedy was by his Priest!
The Priest had every right under the teachings of his faith to ban him from communion due to his “public” acceptance of abortion and any other Priest/Pastor in the church has the same right to do so on anybody who does the same!
