Murtha won by 58 to 42 percent in 2008, the Democrat won by 55 to 45 today. This is a 1.5 point shift of voter result. This leads only to one conclusion: The country is finished. By the time people wake up to socialism’s march under the Democrats it will be too late. A dependent generation will establish in sufficient numbers by 2016 to cement it in place permanently. You may see Obama become President for life once term limits are lifted during his second term. It is too bad, but no amount of postings on this page will change this. I may not like or support Ron Paul, due to his hypocrisy on Fiscal Responsibility and him being the Earmark Kind in the House, but I support Rand Paul. He is a true Fiscal Conservative, or at least this is what he said and I am willing to give him a chance, as long as he doesn’t turn into his Dad.
I heard about Rand’s win on http://www.americanparchment.com I was ecstatic. Sadly, Burns lost in the Pennsylvania House Special Election. We came so close but at least we got rid of Specter and have a run-off with Blanche Lincoln. We need to stay strong and get our neighbors out to vote. Lets go get them.
district26, you should probably learn something about Kentucky politics before you make assumptions like that. We have closed primaries, and while Democrats tend to outnumber Republicans in all but a handful of (mostly small) counties, Kentucky Democrats are conservative and tend to vote Republican in national elections. Largely, this is because many older Kentucky voters have simply been registered Democrat their whole lives. Kentucky went for McCain (57%) over Obama (41.2%) in 2008, Bush (59.6%) over Kerry (39.7%) in 2004, and Bush (56.5%) over Gore (41.2%) in 2000. The last time Kentuckians elected a non-incumbent Democrat as Senator was November 1974 – a few months after Nixon’s resignation.
Rand shouldn’t get lackadaisical, but I would certainly bet on him to win in November.

It’s nice to use Rand Paul’s victory as a morale booster, but we have a huge fight ahead if we’re serious about stopping insane deficit spending and government expansion. I’ve been donating directly to conservative candidates, whether they represent my area or not. It’s not a lot of money that I’m able to give, but if everyone were to do the same, it could make a difference.

I immigrated from Canada. I watched Pierre Elliot Trudeau tear the soul out of my country just as Obummer is doing now. It is the methodology, control the media, schools, and entertainment outlets hone the message tear the opposition apart. Obama got rid of Spector and Rand won. OK, but these were primaries, not Conservative battling Democrat. The only contest tonight that really counted was Murtha’s seat, that fell to a person as corrupt as he was. It made no difference, only 3 out of two hundred changed their minds despite all Obama, Pelosi, and Reid have done. It tells you Charles Dejou in Hawaii is toast, either Case or Hanabusa will win. Politically that will kill any momentum Republicans have going into the fall.
The so called “take America back” contest is essentially over by reason Obama will pour money through his “Jobs” slush fund into districts where Democrats are about five points down to five in surplus. Murtha’s district 12 Pennsylvania fell within this criterion. Obama visited the area, dropping over a hundred million in promised “jobs” funding. Voters grabbed in only shifting 1.5 points away from Democrats. Very effective. Roosevelt did the same thing in the 30’s. It worked then, and with an actual election result showing Pennsylvania it will work again. With most American voters wearing hats on backwards, with brains melted by American Idol, Avatar, and CBS “News” et al: This means a 70 seat shift as Newt claims will likely be 18 to 24 seats at most. Means Ms. Pelosi will still be Speaker come Nov 5th, the Senate will remain under Democrat control with a new Majority leader after Reid loses in Nevada. Nothing changes and as time moves on 0.8 points of voter weight will shift to Democrats each year as youth are brain numbed, or indoctrinated by the Progressive machine. It means by 2012 vote will be weighted 3.2 points in favor of Democrats (net) not including legalization of millions of Hispanics through immigration reform sometime in the next two years.
It all means “change” is coming via a soft revolution we on the right cannot stop. Its over.
This sends the type of message that we need to send to Barry…

And no, I agree we don’t need standing armies in foreign countries to have strength through power.

Most interesting – Democrats won the Pennsylvania special election to fill the rest of the late John Murtha’s term in the U.S. House, handing Republicans a defeat in the type of swing district where they hope to gain in November’s congressional races.
Obama’s approval rating in that district is 36% and John McCain carried that district in the 2008 presidential election.
If Republicans can’t pick up this kind of seat, then I don’t know what kind of seat they can pick up in November.

(I live in Hawaii so I had to finish work before getting the full results hence the change of shift numbers since last night) Apply this shift plus Obama’s trillion dollar slush fund care of TARP and the “Stimulus Package” giving him an ability to pour loot into marginal districts Democrats will only lose between 16 and 24 seats in Congress this November, and 4 to 5 in the Senate. By 2012 Obama will have the advantage of legalized Hispanics who jumped the boarder, who will vote 80 – 90% Democrat, and brain dead indoctrinated young people who will add 2 to 4 points of shift. In addition with Cap and Trade’s 3 year Unemployment Insurance AND extra thousands for an unemployed person to attend school each year ,dependent class Americans will rise by five points. This last group will vote 90%+ Democrat. This all points to a 6 to 10 point additional advantage to Democrats come 2012.
Between 2012 and 2016 Democrats will INCREASE control of the House and Senate due to voter demographic. Obama could be the first three term plus President since Roosevelt.
The only chance of stopping America’s slide first to socialism, then some sort of tyrannical big government dictatorship that swings Communist or Fascist afterwards, is 2010. District 12’s result clearly shows that is in considerable doubt.
I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this spells the end of America as we know it. The era of John Wayne for one of neo-Marx. Europe will slowly decline into chaos over the next two years. There will be another Stock Market / Banking crisis within 18 months, but with control of the media, and message Obama will be ale to blame enough on America’s capitalist system to hold on to power. All of us will be much poorer afterwards, a 40 to 60% drop of real standard of living on average for most by 2017 – 19. Predicted Reagan expansion and bubble economy of the first decade of this century. Also I’m a guy. America is heading for a difficult decade or two for several reasons. Aided and abetted by its own delusional voters. Obama has the media, educational, and entertainment industries almost totally in his back pocket. He has about half of America’s church groups. As a well trained “marxist” street organizer, with several more on his staff, as “czars” or cabinet members his “machine” is very capable of using it to control the message, and disperse government largesse to districts where the incumbent Democrat is competitive. Between the $$$ and ability to “deceive his supporters” (as you put it) Republicans will not pick up anywhere near the number of seats they need to take back the House. They will fall far short in the Senate. I don’t like this situation, but as a number cruncher by nature, it is a fact. No sugar coating will change this until Republicans point out a plausible political position to counter Obama’s Democrat Zombie message.
As for hardship: America’s structural short-fall for its military through social spending is 12% of GDP. Greece it is 9%. Accumulated debt in Greece is higher – for now. At the current rate America will reach debt to GDP ratio of Greece within 6 years. Then what? Convert the US dollar to a new international one backed by air? Go to a gold standard with gold fixed at $11,000.00 an ounce? There is no way out of this, and Obama is just moving the date of reckoning forward. Pennsylvania district 12 clearly shows only a 3.5 point shift of voter intent which if applied nationally gives a number that comes up short for Republicans in the fall. That leaves Democrats in the majority in the House and Senate with an ability to complete Cap and Trade, plus immigration “reform”. These bills, along with Healthcare radically increase the number of Americans who receive more from government than they will ever put in. A dependent population that as a block will vote 80% Democratic to 20% Republican.
Wait! Wait! This was not supposed to happen! Grayson was hand picked by Cheney & Mc Connell, Dick said Grayson was the ‘True Conservative’. AKA Grayson will rubber stamp the war over there for the next two years at least. This was not supposed to happen!

This is all funny and much ado about nothing, because in the other Democrat run off , that losing Democrat candidate carry way more votes than paul , In a general election Paul will GET CRUSH .
The democrat voting there is like 2 even feel like 3 to one . So to the paul supports enjoy this one , YOU ARE NOT WINNING ANYTHING when the main election comes.
