Buh bye Democrat train wreck of a political party, it’s been a disaster!!

Keep your speeches simple, sweetheart!   July 26th, 2009 - 9:51 pm

If ever there was a person who needs a teleprompter it is poor, confused Sarah.

littleleers   July 26th, 2009 - 10:29 pm

You go girl!!! You have the lefty libs shaking in their Birkenstocks! The Obama socialist train wreck may not be the end of America after all. Thank you, Sarah, for knowing when to put America first….you are a TRUE patriot!

Barack To The Drawing Board   July 26th, 2009 - 10:30 pm

@Keep your speeches simple, sweetheart! July 26th, 2009 – 9:51 pm

“If ever there was a person who needs a teleprompter it is poor, confused Sarah.”

Poor and confused!…sort of like saying “I don’t know — not having been there and not seeing all the facts…”

“…that the Cambridge police acted stupidly…”

Or that the U.S. has 57 states? That kind of poor and confused?

Sorry pal, nice try. The smear campaign on Palin you libs are pushing again won’t wash this time.

Larse   July 26th, 2009 - 10:32 pm

And I wish to thank all those super boys scouts here too…. “Be prepared!”, you little fellas……………. :P

Is there any public speaking “clap trap” she did not pull out….

I assume she resigned in there somewhere…

she is the real deal! Liberals are shakin’ in their shoes again– trying to figure out ways to tear her down. She is original & refreshing, She is intelligent and articulate. I wish her and her family the best. May God protect them and I don’t think we have heard the last of her yet. She doesn’t need Totus– she is for real! She didn’t need to have a degree from an Ivy League school. She has common sense and raw intelligence. Something most liberals are lacking. I am sure the media will twist and turn and spin whatever they can. If they have any decency , they will think about what she said. A democracy depends upon the truth being reported– I don’t know if the leftist media can even figure that one out– probably not.
Go Sarah!

racist   July 26th, 2009 - 10:45 pm

sarah,s the real deal, not some kool aide drinkin plastic libtard

Ron Reale   July 26th, 2009 - 10:47 pm

If Sarah Palin was as much of a threat to the republican party as the libs say, the libs would be campaigning for her, hoping to destroy the repubs in the next election, like they did McCain. The libs and the media picked McCain.
The difference is, they don’t want her anywhere near the next election. They are terrified of her, and what she brings to the table. A real womean that doesn’t kill her kids? My God, the libs can’t have that. They must destroy her before the election, because they know she will bring a Reagan landslide in 2012.

@duh faker Larse – July 26th, 2009 – 9:44 pm

:D

I think I DID say that after then election last year!!! But I said ‘Republican’ instead of ‘Democrat’…

You must like to copy my “Swedish style” too!!!! :D

I am so “flattered”!!!!

Hahahhahahahhahahaaa!!!!!

What’s the matter with you right wingers?… Is the steam roller too heavy?

okie   July 26th, 2009 - 11:38 pm

Isn’t it funny. If SP is so incompetent, why then do the dems try their best to destroy her? Why would they be so scared of someone so incompetent? Why wouldn’t they HOPE she was the next republican nominee for president? Then their smart and competent nominee would have a very easy win.

Larse   July 26th, 2009 - 11:54 pm

@okie

“We” pray to God that Sarah tries for the POTUS in 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024, 2028…

But we know too that she is just “all gone” now…

Fun while it lasted, but she’s over now…

Conservative in Dayton   July 26th, 2009 - 11:56 pm

Best wishes to you Governor Palin as you move forward.

Watching you speak today gave me hope that you and others of your measure will continue to advocate for all freedom loving Americans who are unwilling to surrender to a massive government takeover of our lives by this current administration in Washington DC.

God help us all!

tim   July 27th, 2009 - 12:28 am

WOW! This woman is AWESOME! god I love her!
What a difference between her and obama…the fakeness of obama compared to the realness of Sarah. She loves our country, obama wants to tear it down.
Awesome speech…she just makes you tear up with pride , joy and hope. What a Woman!

God Bless Sarah Palin

Jules in Alabama   July 27th, 2009 - 6:39 am

Whew. I can’t believe I listened to that whole 18 minute thing a ma bob from her. The only thing I can remember her saying is ‘I quit because being a lame duck is a waste of my time and I’m better than that’, or something to that affect. But hey, isn’t Parnell a lame duck too? His term is up in 17 months, just like hers….but it’s not a waste of his time? Is she really that much more valuable than he is? Now he is a lowly lame duck governor and she is a….a…..ahhhh, well, not sure really. Talk show queen? Traveling minstrel? Or maybe an Evangalist, zipping around the country in her motor home, kidlets and Todd in tow, pitching their huge tent from town to town, preaching her weird sermons and passing the trays. Yea, that’s it. Get your quarters ready. She’s gonna have that guy with her who can “de-witch” you. Bye, bye Sarah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jules Wife in Alabama   July 27th, 2009 - 6:42 am

Instead of addressing the people of the State of Alaska, Palin spoke to her Republican base in the lower 48. She chose to once again talk about herself rather than the issues facing the State and the people who elected her. She did not speak about the man who would replace her. She did not reassure the people and she did not speak as a leader. She came across as a self centered egotist, who has not fully comprehended the impact her resignation had on the people who voted for her. More importantly, she doesn’t care. It’s all about Sarah. All the time. Me. Me. Me. Her new catch phrase is about the “mama bear who puts herself between her cubs and danger in order to protect them”. She is more like like the unbalanced mama bear that eats its young.

Niles Lesh   July 27th, 2009 - 7:38 am

Palin is STILL the most interesting person in politics ! (even without an office)

She speaks as if she is proud to be American, and she never apologizes for other peoples indisgressions !

It took the entire media machine and a Wall street implosion to keep her down(McCaAin’s 2 week run at the top of the polls was not just a coincidence of her joining his ticket)

…and I luv her pro-meat agenda !

Justine   July 27th, 2009 - 9:17 am

This was an excellent speech. She talked about the promises made and achieved. Every politician should have to do that when running for office.

The speech is in the spirit of Atlas Shrugged. Nothing good happens when you take away the incentive for people to work and care for themselves. If the only means to care for the masses is to punish the producers, you will eventually end up with very few producers. The government doesn’t produce anything. They are completely dependent on the producers. Instead of making the producers healthy and strong, they choose to make them weak. There will eventually be a price to pay for that. It has already started happening with companies moving offshore.

I really wish the media was more respectful of Sarah Palin and her kids. But then again, it is rare for most of the media to be kind of any female in politics. It always comes down to degradation. Paris Hilton gets better press. It says a lot about where we are at as a nation. We are not as progressive as we claim to be. Maybe some libertarian female media ownership would help.

Never mind what the Left SAYS. Watch what they DO. Tells you everything you need to know. And they have been trying to destroy the Beauteous Sarah since she knocked’em dead at the Convention.

Now…the only question is, WHY?

Hint: it’s not because they think she’d be bad for America and they’re such PATRIOTS!

Smitty   July 27th, 2009 - 9:42 am

@Lady liberty,

Whoever they may be, they are far more intellectual than Balin’ Palin, that’s for sure!

Joke for today   July 27th, 2009 - 9:49 am

Sarah Palin is due to be inducted into Mensa the largest, oldest and best known high-IQ society in the world.

Mensa IQ level is over 135.Sarah Palin’s IQ is around 185.About on the same level of Albert Einstein.

Peggy   July 27th, 2009 - 11:40 am

Amazing lady! Your a breath of fresh air compared to the old stoggy political views of Washington DC. To many old thought there and its time for a change.

I agree the media is way out of line with the past attacks on you and your family. Bet they wouldn’t like it if someone did it to them. The ethnics of this country could use some MAJOR tweeking. Let’s start with the media and the greedy Wall Street bunch!

Enjoy your much deserved break!

Mensa she is not!   July 27th, 2009 - 12:42 pm

Peggy,
I was just wondering…

If she had been elected as Vice President would she have still taken her “deserved break”?

racist   July 27th, 2009 - 1:50 pm

go sarah, you have out blessing and i just cant wait for the crap to hit the fan?

quash   July 27th, 2009 - 7:20 pm

Palin is too far right to ever assemble a moderate coalition, but her attempt to do so pretty much guarantees Obama a second term. Gee thanks.

Just wondering.   July 28th, 2009 - 12:39 am

Does Todd Palin own a suit? Or did the McCain Campaign repossess it?

Not a tailor   July 28th, 2009 - 9:47 am

“Does Todd Palin own a suit? Or did the McCain Campaign repossess it?”

Yes, good question, because the spouse’s wardrobe clearly is the best gauge of whether or not someone is fit for public office.

26Charlie   July 28th, 2009 - 10:48 am

lady liberty and others: You’re being taken for a ride if you believe sarah’s last two speeches (jul 3 & this one) were delivered without a teleprompter. You can plainly see the two teleprompter screens in the raw video of this last speech but you’d have to see that on any site thats not pro-palin. The clip above stops 5 seconds before the camera zooms out to show the stage and the two teleprompter screens are clearly seen on either side of the podium. This clip did show the teleprompter screen to her right, when she went over to shake hands. Its a little harder to see it in the jul 3 video because the camera pans too quickly to the left to show who is clapping at the end of the speech – but its visible if you hit pause fast enough.
Its a very safe bet to say she did write both speeches though. Credit her for that much because that would be closer to the truth – while its very, very far from the truth to say she didn’t have a teleprompter. She did use one and its apparent from her re-reading over some mistakes, if you read the official jul 3 transcript while listening to it.

What does it mean if she used a teleprompter? Would this be cause for some people to disagree with the video and insist she did Not have one? Is it That important? I’m curious.
