Beck is one of a kind. It’s obvious that spending a third of your adult life in a bottle of Jack Daniels doesn’t always mean a sad end in the gutter.

Rupert Murdoch, Australian media mogul and owner of NewsCorp has read the tea leaves on Americas politics. When he designed the format for Fox News, he understood the problems with America that we Americans are to close to see. He saw our main stream media was corrupt and in a state of confusion brought on by the new media, the Internet. He saw many of our politicians are corrupt and draining the Republic of its honesty and integrity. He has a great showman and populist in Bill O’Reilly. He has a staunch conservative and fearless talking head in Sean Hannity. And, Glenn Beck is a rodeo clown with a gift for rallying the troops.

It will be interesting to see where this all leads us. It would be even more interesting if 21st century America is a nation ultimately defined by an Australian conservative.

I really like Glenn Beck. He’s personable, articulate, humble. However, we cannot “restore” or “REFOUND” or be new “Founders” of America. The reason that we cannot “restore” or become New Founders of America is because the Forefathers of this country did things that NO ONE ELSE can ever do…

1. They PAID IN BLOOD to become independent from England peaceably. The circumstances in the USA are not the same now. We are not “agreed” in good faith amongst ourselves as to what we believe as a people. There is no “enemy” to shed blood against here, it i a matter of BELEIF as to WHAT AMERICA IS.

2. If blood is shed, and the more conservative part of the populace “wins” what happens then to the Constitution? While I like Glenn Beck, he is no Thomas Jefferson. I am afraid that if conservative people will try to ADD TO THE CONSTITUTION things that were not already there, in their expedience to route all the Acorn like corruption.

3. I appreciated Beck’s statement about why the Soviet Union/Russia failed to become a democracy. His reasonings that Russian “DNA” is not programmed for freedom is dead on. However, s much as we hate to admit it, Puritanism and witchtrials are also a part of America’s DNA. We hate to remember this because the Left has attempted to remind us of it at every turn. The other uncomfortable thing that is in America’s DNA is, of course, Masonry. This is an impolite topic to bring up, but it remains a factor that most people do not want to factor into their assessments of America’s Founding Fathers.

4. Rather than attempting to make us become “RE FOUNDERS” of America, I am looking for leadership that is willing to lay itself down for others. I am looking for men to straddle the DIvision in this country. I am not looking for another George Washington (a freemason, btw). I am looking for another Abraham Lincoln.

5. Beck’s Mormon-lite background may be confusing or influencing him here, too. They believe they are the restored EarlyChurch and their leaders are the REFOUNDERS or the new Apostles and new Prophets of this RESTORED church. The problem there, of course, is that if something needs to be “re-formed” or “re-founded” like the Bible or the 12 Discipes, then this means that there was something wrong with the early church and the 12 Apostles and the Bible itself. Just highlighting a troublesome comparison.

6. Beck’s American sentimentality and even my own does not encompass one glaring problem: George Bush and B Obama have GIVEN AWAY THE TREASURE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I don’t understand why Beck or Rush or anyone has not brought this up. THIS IS WHY OBAMA WANTS TO TAKE OVER HEALTHCARE. HE WANTS THESE HEALTHCARE MONIES TO REPLENISH THE STOLEN TREASURE OF THE U.S. THAT WAS GIVEN TO THE PRIVATE BANKS.

THIS is why B.O. is capitulating so easily on Acorn and other things — but why he is like a dog with a bone on national healthcare. HE KNOWS DANG WELL WE ARE BROKE and the only thing preventing the Chinese or the Russians from taking over our country is our military —

and this is why, of course, that B.O. put himself on the UN Security Council this month!

This is the one thing all this Norman Rockwell Americana protesting cannot encompass… the national debt. We have been bled dry. All we have left is our military to protect ourselves.

Oh, and the final thing that Beck’s sweet and kind patriotism has not dealt with… hate to bring it up… where the actual God of the Bible and the USA and the World stands on all of this. I think if Beck really peruses his Bible, he will see that we are the most remarkable nation that ever existed. We are the most marvelous people ever. However that makes us Babylon in the Bible. America is Mystery Babylon. Study it up, Mr. Beck.

You would have to wonder why anyone would be upset at the idea of ridding our government (Republican and Democrat) of corruption. Unless……they were benefiting from the corruption. Beck has helped us find our voices. He is not our Messiah and he is not our leader. He is a facilitator who, for whatever reason, understands Americans who felt they had no voices. Now that we have found our voices we need elected officials who are strong enough to stand up against the machine and uphold our constitution. Once we take our country back from the long time corrupt and powerful powers that be, Glenn can go back to being a “Rodeo Clown”.

Please know this; while fox news is the last ray of sunshine through some very dark and threatening skies. It is by no means a saviour. It is difficult and lengthy so I can not go into it in a soundbite. But the quick jist of it is, Fox news is the best relief valve the Democrats could ask for. The Fox news isn’t new. In fact it has been around quite a few years, and more importantly it was around 4 years ago. No one will remember but the media who has always been a great influence on Politics, took a foothold of the Political scene 12 years ago. It was about that time when many cogs fell into place, and four years ago, it was determined to use it’s muscle. But right now Bill O’reilly had within his reach the freedom of this country. Especially after the anniversary of 9/11 yesterday and it’s somber memory of the terrorist attack that took place that day by Saudi “radical” Islamic terrorists declaring war on America and it’s citizens!

But let me say one thing in a negative vein. I was rather disappointed in the coverage in Washington and other cities around the country by Glen Beck today.

First, I expected him to be in Washington himself with the people! When he wasn’t there, I certainly was disappointed, but it was probably understandable due to security reasons on his behalf.

But during the coverage I was expecting to hear more from you…”real” Americans out there!

I saw too much of Glen and not enough of you! I wanted to hear you! I wanted to hear why you got involved!

There were some interviews scattered throughout the the 2-3 hrs he was on…but it wasn’t enough of what I wanted to see and hear! Every time Griff interviewed someone in the crowd…he always made sure and stir up the crowd to say something to Glen about how they loved him, appreciated him and yada…yada…yada!

Enough already! Glen is not the story. Glen is doing a great job as many others are in revealing the truths of deception. But he isn’t doing it alone? America…you are the ones that are searching for truths and spreading it when you do! You get just as much credit as Glen!

Don’t get me wrong…I love Glen and appreciate the work of his whole staff! But Glen don’t let it go to your head…focus…focus…Glen!

You have a mission…keep on the path and continue to get the truth out! You are not the only soldier in this revolt amongst many!

JAW a few obvious logic problems in your post

One is that you talk about wanting somebody to bridge the division then mention Lincoln
Lincoln approval rating was HORRIBLE at the time. He stood for ONE SIDE of the nation (the right side)

As to Becks religion and the concept of restoration, you seem to again miss the logic.
The idea is that during the time of christ there was a particular organization, at the top
being twelve apostles. The Mormon belief is that this idea was never broken but was
restored since the early church fell away from that organization after some early
members got killed or dispersed. The idea makes sense if you believe that the
same sort of leadership that Christ established is supposed to be carried on today.

Paul wrote regular letters to the various churches back then, to set them straight.
So why did that concept stop? All the churches suddenly doing the same thing
and believing in the same gospel? On the contrary, more divisions now
than there were back then. So the concept of restoration makes perfect sense.

I agree that we simply can’t afford to go much further into deficit. But where were their voices when Bush was running up almost a trillion dollar deficit (from a trillion dollar surplus eight years previous), with “balloon payments” scheduled for after he left office? Where was their “smaller government” activism when the Bush Admin/Republican Congress more than doubled our federal budgets, and grossly increased deficit spending?

How is it that only NOW, a mere 8 months into Obama’s administration, they are laying all the blame for this at his feet? Where were they then, over four years ago, when the fiscal crises we face now were being created?

I’m all for them getting out and making their voices heard. Applause! But keep the focus on facts and reality. So much misguided energy….

I also note that they timed this in advance of the pro-reform rally scheduled for tomorrow. It will be interesting to see the contrasts in size and messaging…

Change is never easy, especially when the previously silent majority decides to speak up and correct it. I’m proud of how people have been energized on all sides of the conversation to engage…which is a duty that we as citizens have been charged with but too long ignored.

Despite the theatrics Mr. Beck is so adept at, I agree that corruption is the fight we all need to focus on. Until we have truthful, trustworthy representation, who we continue to review, we’ve given the car keys over to a drunk driver.

The good news is that we can change it.
