No one would argue that Sonia Sotomayor’s qualifications are impressive and worthy of consideration to be a Supreme Court Judge, however, upon closer examination, it is apparent that she believes the role of a judge is to create law from the bench rather than applying the law as written.

Confirming Sotomayor will be a grave mistake that will only serve to further divide the people, and devastate the constitution of the United States..

Well, if the shoe fits…

Joe   July 13th, 2009 - 10:32 am

I found this ad to be both racist and sexist! So a white male cannot question
the actions and statements of a Latina female?!

Lady liberty   July 13th, 2009 - 10:35 am

“It’s insulting to all Latinos and Americans.”
REALLY…HOW SO…

If I said my boss is a bigot & a racist…does that mean all bosses are??
STUPID!!!!!!!!

Clearly in this case (Sotomayor) the shoe does fit!

Lady liberty   July 13th, 2009 - 10:38 am

ad is in Spanish, ha ha ha, wants it out on Florida radio….RACISTS!!!!!

Dave, Tn   July 13th, 2009 - 10:42 am

Let me guess… Another “group” who only stands up for members of the democrat (some pigs are more equal than others) party. Anyone else Hispanic isn’t authentic?

Boss Limbaugh   July 13th, 2009 - 10:49 am

That is not a good thing for the Republican party. The eight states which flipped from Bush 2004 to Obama 2008, four were heavily Latino states. those ads showing Limbaugh demonizing Sotomayor were targeted to the Hispanic community.
One statistic underscores how the influence wielded by Latinos will only grow — perhaps dramatically —in the next few election cycles.

The Republican party seems to be doing everything it can do to continue to lose elections.

ARKANSAS MAN   July 13th, 2009 - 10:50 am

She is a bigot…

A fat bigot at that.

Callit   July 13th, 2009 - 11:14 am

Actually, she is a fanático.

Why so you insist on drawing attention to Rush and the Republicans when they are overwhelmingly correct?

James K   July 13th, 2009 - 11:14 am

HELLO? Did anyone else see the add sponsor at the end?

“The Progressive Change Campaign Committee at boldprogressives.org”

HELLO Puerto Ricans!!! This SCREAMS SOCIALIST!!! DIDN’T YOU COME TO AMERICA TO GET AWAY FROM THIS???

Silent Opposition   July 13th, 2009 - 11:16 am

Where the he11 were they when Miguel Estrada was nominated? Quiet and sitting on their mouths. Couldn’t hear a peep from any spics when morons like Durbin, Teddy Kennedy, Leahy, Clinton, Schumer and stinking Harry Reid torpedoed his nomination. And we can’t hear you now.

Roberto Borquez   July 13th, 2009 - 11:29 am

Actually; intelligent American hispanics don’t want her on the bench either.
She’s an arrogant maverick…not Supremem Court material.

Larse   July 13th, 2009 - 11:42 am

Poor little Rush… He is just an embarrassment to the GOP. Even GOPers that might have a good reason not to vote for Sotomayor will have to worry if such a vote will just make them look like bigoted Limbaugh patsies. But the GOP will probably just vote NO anyway. Just like we are going to do to them in 2010 :)

Dave   July 13th, 2009 - 12:30 pm

Imagine a Caucasian male or female supreme court candidate being a member of a racially based club for whites that has white leadership and is concerned with white causes…
They would be instantly labelled a “bigot” and a racist by the very same media that is reporting on Sotomayor’s hearings-yet they aren’t making a peep about it.
Why the double standard?+

Other   July 13th, 2009 - 1:36 pm

Hispanic is not a race.

A Real American   July 13th, 2009 - 1:44 pm

She fits the Socialist Democrat definition of a racial bigot. If she were white they would be screaming their heads off but since she is a Puerto Rican bigoted racist that is just fine with L’arse and Jordan and the Socialist Democrat Party.

ozhole   July 13th, 2009 - 2:37 pm

Bite Me! Rush is my man.

Weslie   July 13th, 2009 - 2:41 pm

Since when is Rush Limbaugh a Republican Party leader? He is a radio personality who holds NO elected office. This ad is very misleading!

tarse   July 13th, 2009 - 3:10 pm

Larse is an arse.

Lord Liberal   July 13th, 2009 - 3:13 pm

Mary Pat…….a doctor really? You can’t even define racism.

Ned Schnittt   July 13th, 2009 - 5:10 pm

When will the DNC denounce Sotomayor for being a bigot and a racist?

Laffing at (L)Arsehole   July 13th, 2009 - 5:54 pm

Seems wiki can’t decide where Obama was born thought the (L)Arsehole, fat marysa$$ and the other nutjobs would like to take a peek.. LOL!!!

Rush ROCKS, liberals SUCK!

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   July 13th, 2009 - 8:01 pm

America…I am a registered Republican and I, too, say that Sonia Sotomayer is a bigot and a racist of the worst kind!

She is an angry woman…and she will act out that anger in time of decision as noted by people in her courtrooms in the past!

She may be qualified with the credentials…but she does not have the open minded spirit and wisdom of a Supreme Court Judge!

She should not be confirmed…as Bork and Wood and all others who were singled out by the Democratzi…the Republican Senators on the Judicial Committee have “every right” under our Constitution to hold this woman accountable for her past actions and rulings and not confirm her!

We need another more worthy nominee.

America…call the Judicial Committee (all of them) daily and tell them how you feel!

1. usa.gov
2. at top – site index
3. at left – fed gov
4. in middle – Judicial branch
5. in middle – select the list for the Judicial Committee headed by Leahy

America…stand up and speak out…the Democratzi are ruining our country and now they want to destroy our Constitution piece by piece by piece!

Kile Anderson   July 13th, 2009 - 8:11 pm

Well….If the zapato fits. What can you say. She IS a racist. She has made statements that indicate that she believes one race is better than another race. That by its very definition is racism. I guess like most democrats, the people who made this add have no respect for the truth. Why am I not suprised. God help us, America. The communists and racists are taking over. I can’t wait until 2010 when the good, real Americans i.e. Republicans, take back congress. I just hope we can make it that far before it gets really ugly.

joe blow   July 13th, 2009 - 11:41 pm

A conservative has true convictions and cannot in good conscience just abandon his principles to garner the support of a certain ethnic group. I don’t care what your race is if you believe in conservative principles. Why do liberals always make a racial issue out of any person that you cannot support on principle? You are a bunch of dishonest, egotistical, hypocritical jackasses(your party symbol). Your party of kooks cannot survive without creating class or racial warfare. I can’t wait to see the rejection that you all will get when the chickens start coming home to roost. Some of us do not believe everything that the liberal news media says about these morons that are destroying our economy. GO NEWT! He is the smartest out there right now. This new CIA stuff is just a diversion away from the continued economic downturn and unemployment.

racerx   July 14th, 2009 - 12:01 am

I love it. Let Hispanics know how Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity really feel about them by translating it into Spanish. These radio personalities are, after all, the real leaders of the Republican party, and millions of their followers listen to them almost every day.

When even the Republican congressman are frightened to take on these beloved white supremacist celebrities, that’s real power. Let’s keep the Hispanic population informed. Who knows?! Maybe the party of Limbaugh, will invite Hispanics into the big white tent of the Republican party. They could even try some of that ethnic humor on them.

Gandhi's Fist   July 14th, 2009 - 1:51 am

Latinos of all stripes should be offended by this ad, more so, than the accurate comments by Rush Limbaugh.

So, let me get this straight. The ad basically says, we’re proud that a Latina is nominated; hey, if you’re Hispanic, it should offend you that anyone questions her qualifications for a very important lifetime post to the supreme court. Based on identity politics (liberal way of characterizing racism) you should harangue this senator to repudiate what are clearly accurate remarks on made by a talk show commentator? Wow, silence as a reply, what nerve!

This is a thinly veiled attack on the GOP to alienate the party from Latinos. If the ad or anyone with common sense were honest, Sotomayor would be repudiated as the obvious racist she is. Her odious decisions are so oft rejected by the supreme court as to call into question just how competent this “wise Latina” really is to hold the post. Were Hispanics proud that when Bush’s nominee Alberto Gonzales was placed as Attorney General? Where was the outraged advertisement focusing on how the Democrats opposed him–the first Latino to the position–and smeared his background? Calling on them to pester their Democratic Senators with complains? No? Gee, I wonder why?

Yes, Latinos should be outraged at this manipulation which is aimed at their pride instead of their intellect. How insulting.
