Hey, you guys, don’t forget your urethra. It would probably tatoo real nice.

Blitzed Wolf   January 11th, 2010 - 3:23 pm

Let me know how those colored eyes work out for you after you get released and you’re looking for a job.

Jasper   January 11th, 2010 - 3:47 pm

I like that the one inmate(!) said he lives the “balls to the wall” theory… No kidding, really? Obviously its not the brains to the wall theory.

dee   January 11th, 2010 - 3:51 pm

And just let me guess WHO”LL pay for this if all of a sudden they have issues from this. Gee, us, the dumbass taxpayers of course.

hometown   January 11th, 2010 - 4:11 pm

I look at this the same as I do any body piercing/tattooing. Obviously these losers fail to get the attention they require due to their inability to contribute anything beneficial to society, so they must tattoo themselves to get it. What a bunch of demented morons. Bet your mama’s wishes she had been born infertile. Your balzs to the wall theory in prison only leaves your azz exposed to me girlfriend.

JLocke   January 11th, 2010 - 4:46 pm

This is a good thing. We’ll know exactly who everyone of them are. I say tattoo all lifers just in case they escape they can be shot on site by the law abiding citizen.

JLocke, that is an excellent idea. I for one am now glad that they have done this, it is an excellent way to track these individuals.

keith   January 11th, 2010 - 6:34 pm

Wouldn’t worry too much about them trying to find a job Wolf. Most of them have never had one, have never filed a tax return, and don’t plan on it anytime in the future.

These are the worthless members of society. We enable them with our “catch and release” programs.

Time to go back to the days where you were hung for stealing a horse — in today’s time, auto theft should get your neck lengthened.

Violent offenders should get an automatic one trial, one appeal, then it’s off to the wall for a firing squad.

Prison should be a place where you wait for your pending execution. Not someplace where you watch cable TV for 15 years.

yikes!
any idea how many people end up on a psychiatrist couch
just to deal with tattoos they no longer like on their
bodies? just imagine the day they wake up and are in
the mood for something else?

Tired of it All   January 11th, 2010 - 7:05 pm

Idiots! I hope these guys don’t expect the taxpayers to pay for the eye-related medical bills when they start having trouble.

They should take them to the Doctor & have their eyes removed when they start having problems.

Why are prisoners getting tatoos anyway? Where does the money & equipment come from?

ArguingWithIdiots   January 11th, 2010 - 7:10 pm

I’m pissed at how taxpayer’s are forced to keep these scumbags alive. Can’t support yourself? Commit a crime and get the taxpayers to pay for your room & board, medical, dental, education, etc. Friggin lowlifes would be hung for stealing a horse back in the 1800’s. All inmates should be forced to tattoo the words ” TAXPAYER SUCKING LOWLIFE ” on their forehead before entering back into society.

more going on here than tattoos   January 11th, 2010 - 7:13 pm

something tells me these guys only went public because they were
approached and had no choice.

my gut tells me this is the testing for some underhanded plot they
cooked up. Can they also hide stuff behind their eyes? are they
testing to see if they can carry chemicals that way?

do their eyes make them see certain things that are otherwise secret?
and just where are the maps of the workings of that jail. are these
prison officials going to wait around until all the tattoo-ess come up
missing?

another EYE BALL   January 11th, 2010 - 7:15 pm

not being watched carefully enough.
they were able to use NEEDLES for periods
of time large enough to do both eyes
over a two-week period?

didnt the guards notice something when only
half of one eye was done?

SenatorMark4   January 11th, 2010 - 8:56 pm

This is the problem with prison and it’s empty time. Life with government should be a scale of freedom and education. You go to school and study, you get to go home at night. Fail to behave, attend a special school with cubicles. Commit a crime, attend the same courses over the internet in order to get ‘time served’ credit. Either perform or rot away in your cell with no hope of release. We are far past the time when any of us believes sitting in a cell with your butt buddy and planning new tattoos is a rehabilitation project or should count for release.

bree   January 11th, 2010 - 9:27 pm

to address hometowns comment…just because someone has tatoos that doesnt mean they cant contribute anything beneficial to society…if anything it just shows how small minded you are. i have tattoos…im in school right now trying to do something with my life…getting an education is extremely beneficial to society and i have tattoos…so you might want to think before you say something…or in this case type something because your whole theory on people who have tattoos dont contribute anything beneficial to society is total bs.

Ron   January 11th, 2010 - 9:48 pm

I bet its “Balls to the Wall” and “Ass in the air”. Criminals are stupid.

EYE-EYE-EYE   January 11th, 2010 - 9:51 pm

Too much time on their hands while they’re doing time. Weirdos! I’m glad they’re behind bars.

AWR   January 11th, 2010 - 9:52 pm

These will be the same ones wanting government help because they can’t get jobs upon release.

Michael   January 12th, 2010 - 12:59 am

This is an outrageous failure on the part of prison management. This absurd behavior needs to be punished as an example to others. What was the punishment meted out to these criminals? Nothing? Then the inmates are about to run the asylum. Don’t expect taxpayers to pay the future medical bills or pay the salaries of the managers.

melli50   January 12th, 2010 - 1:00 am

we’ll be able to differentiate the nut jobs from the rest of us. i see this as a good thing.

to address bree’s comment….. Lot’s of kids attend school…including the dirt bags in the above mentioned video. That does not mean the they learned a darn thing our contributed ANYTHING to society. Obviously they have not contributed ANYTHING and the prospects of them EVER doing so is somewhat diminished by their most resent actions.

That tattoo on your backside is called TRAMP STAMP for good reason! Your tattoo my dear is nothing more than your self serving self expression of YOURSELF and benefits nobody but yourself. As a more liberal society we have lowered our standards to wearing trailer park trash images dyed into our skin as the norm……nothing more. Be proud grasshopper… you have found your acceptance among our liberal trailer park trash fringes of society.

Save a buck, open fire   January 12th, 2010 - 8:18 am

Yep, prison doesn’t rehabilitate ANYONE who wants to be rehabilitated with these types of freaks running around. I say let’s save a buck and open fire.

couch potato   January 12th, 2010 - 8:38 am

TRAMP STAMP…now that’s funny, I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there now.

Barack Obama   January 12th, 2010 - 8:44 am

My Brown Shirts could dye their eyes to match their brown uniforms.

That, and a brown Obama Hope & Change logo tattooed on the forehead will make my Storm Troopers VERY SCAREY indeed!

Coming to a precinct near you VERY SOON!

ChuckyCheese1   January 12th, 2010 - 8:48 am

What’s funny is that libs adamantly support our “rehabilitation” prison philosophy even with the worst criminals, yet also rail against separation of Church and State — but it was the Methodist and Quakers of Pennsylvania who first started this in the U.S. and they were also opposed to capital punishment (don’t ever think lib morals don’t have a religious background – they do – see our current Liberation Theology “President”) The word “Penitentiary” (from the word “penitent” “repent”) was first used in 1829 to describe this new rehabilitation philosophy (it worked soooo well with folks like Al Capone who lived like a king in there, lol). No folks, time to get back to jail as a penalty (only when flogging, stocks, and hanging is not applicable), the best way to rehabilitate a criminal is to make him and the rest of society scared $h!tless to do it again.

Maybe if they were breaking big rocks into little rocks, they wouldn’t have all this time for stupidity.

Stixx79   January 12th, 2010 - 12:39 pm

People are so quick to judge I think its funny do you honestly think they care. Personally I don’t care what they do most of them are In there for life. I know a lot of people with tattoos and that doesn’t mean they are any smarter or dumber. If some of you don’t want to pay taxes then leave the country. The govt has always wasted our money boohoo!!

Kenny   January 12th, 2010 - 1:51 pm

Oh yeah, that’ll go over real good when you go on your first job interview once you get out of the slammer!! Hehehehe

Jail break   January 12th, 2010 - 2:17 pm

I think they tattoed the blueprints to the prison on their eyeballs so they could study their escape route. Can’t wait until it becomes a hit TV show on Fox.

113Tidbits   January 12th, 2010 - 5:58 pm

Why don’t they just go the whole way and finish the job.

Greg Zotta   January 12th, 2010 - 6:36 pm

I don’t understand the point of MSNBC doing such a story. Oh, wait this is one of Jeff Immelts companies.

The body modification crowd will love it. These guys are going to be rich when they get out. They should patent the technique. Heres to a less boring more or less scary future. Now thats change.

Wow, i hate people these days. no one cares about your intellectual comments and everyone saying the same thing over and over “shoot em” blah blah blah. Stupidity and right and wrong are all things made up from society.

Going to prison is to be a punishment for what a person did wrong. It is not suppose to be a place of enjoyment. If people don’t like it when they are there the may not want to go back

The Reyul Gangsta   January 14th, 2010 - 9:13 am

That is insane, and a brilliant idea if you’re in prison for life and want to scare off any potential threats. But BY ALL MEANS DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE ANY HOPE OF GETTING BACK INTO THE REAL WORLD!!! You’d be branded a freak (and a psycho killer look alike) for the rest of your life!

craig   January 14th, 2010 - 9:37 am

“I say tattoo all lifers just in case they escape they can be shot on site by the law abiding citizen.”

Comforting to know I live with a bunch of law abiding, cold blooded murderers. At least I can look forward to JLocke getting his own eye tattoos. Put a bullseye on your forehead while you’re at it.

Eric   January 14th, 2010 - 9:53 am

It’s looks cool! But I’m not sure that’s where I’m ready to go yet. Rock on and keep em to the wall!

madhatter   January 14th, 2010 - 10:07 am

I personally wouldn’t do that, but imho it’s a lot cooler than tattoos. Though they have contacts that do the same thing and more(flames, spaids, etc…).

I worked at Salinas Valley State Prison as a teacher. This prison is a level 4 facility with over 4400 men. 99% of those guys should never see US 101 that the prison is located near. It is a hell and they are waiting to die.

matt   January 14th, 2010 - 10:20 am

job?

These dudes will probably get released to get jobs :)

chris   January 14th, 2010 - 10:34 am

why stop at killing criminals.we should just kill everyone.you never know whos going to be committing crimes tomorrow.i wish there was all out free for all killing spree once every 10 years.we could kill retards, fat people,intellectuals,non-white people.who dont pay taxes.then we could live in the world your proposing.

Johnny Ezzell   January 14th, 2010 - 10:37 am

I think you’re all missing the point here. You think that these prisoners are the only ones to do this. Maybe they are now, but then again it was prisoners that started the whole jeans hanging down to your ankles trend, but the kids are all about it. This will end up being a new tattoo fad eventually. This was really inventive. The real shame is that they’re going to be stupid enough to miss the monetary boat. They should have started a patten on the process before showing to anyone else. Give it a year though and you’ll be able to go into a tatoo shop in your local area and get your very own colored eyes.

matt   January 14th, 2010 - 10:58 am

Ah yes, the balls to the walls theory of 1982, that explains it perfectly.

R.B. Riddick   January 14th, 2010 - 11:17 am

First, you gotta kill a few people… Then you got to get sent to a slam, where they tell you you’ll never see daylight again. You dig up a doctor, and you pay him 20 menthol Kools to do a surgical shine job on your eyeballs.

Don’t let anyone fool you, because that’s how it’s really done :)

- Richard B. Riddick

Posting it will just give other brainless losers stupid ideas and then before we know it we’ll be able to spot these dipshits before we have to interview them for a job they’re applying for….

pr beast   January 14th, 2010 - 3:40 pm

most of you people are freakin idiots if you knew anything about the justice system you would realize as one of the most advanced nations in the world, we have the highest incarcerated population in the world and our crime rate across the nation is ” still on the rise ” our “catch and release” problem… you sir are a joke, take the time and check out mandatory minimums, mainly our war on drugs is a joke. walk down the street w/ a joint (marijuana) in all but a few states goodbye for atleast 30 days first time 3rd time your doing years. so everybody who has a problem about the thousands we spend on inmate housing and care, tell your local law enforcement to pay attention to murderers rapists womanbeaters child molesters terrorists crooked politicans child abusers… I could go on forever. remember @ one time pot was legal and alcohol prohibited. so think about this, instead of locking up that dirty pot smoking construction worker at the end of the block tax him more and he’ll help keep the real demented people of the street.

Tyler   January 14th, 2010 - 10:15 pm

Anyone can customize their car, home or clothing but tattoos are a way of customizing the sole omnipresent aspect of your life. Getting a tattoo shows a level of stability that the mindless majority like the people posting above will never hope to attain, slaves as they are to the words of absolute strangers.

libertarian   January 14th, 2010 - 10:30 pm

To each there own not my cup of tea, but hey if it makes them happy let em. They are only hurting themselves and if thats what they want to do as long as they don’t hurt others then I could give a rats ass

papaj   January 15th, 2010 - 9:17 am

Why blame prison time for someone getting tattooed or anally penetrated?
Free people on the streets have been having that kind of fun for years – most of whom never enter the penal system.

Stefan   January 15th, 2010 - 9:42 am

Wonder why they are so secret about it… Not like it hasn’t been done before and showed how it was done.

Slappy   January 15th, 2010 - 9:54 am

In regards to hometown’s comment’s, tattooing has a very long history going back to Otzi the Iceman believed to have lived around 3300 B.C. From then until now many different cultures have adorned their bodies with tattoos for many different reasons. I highly doubt everyone ever to get a tattoo did it for attention. In fact many great people have had tattoos including Thomas Edison, Queen Victoria, Lady Churchill (Mrs. Winston Churchill), JFK Jr., and many many more. I myself have one whole arm tattooed and many others but I’m not a loser or leech on society. In fact I’m an aircraft mechanic for a major airline. None of my tattoos are visible if I’m wearing a jacket or long sleeve shirt so if you seen me walking through the airport with my work jacket on, you probably wouldn’t even associate me with your stereotyped views of people with tattoos which only shows how narrow minded you are. That all being said what these guys have done is reckless and makes people like myself who have searched out great tattoo artists and payed top dollar to add to their collection of art get lumped into the same category as them. I guess I have to take it with a grain of salt though. Just because Hitler was German doesn’t mean all Germans are that way and just because these fools tattooed their eyes doesn’t mean everyone with tattoos is like them.

Tom   January 15th, 2010 - 11:55 am

capitalpunishment   January 15th, 2010 - 11:47 pm

I’d like to see us go back to capital punishment, chain gangs. I like the prison in Texas (I think) where they wear the prisoner striped clothing and work on the side of the roads and live in tents outside. Now THAT’s punishment. Not laying on a cot in a cell watching tv and reading the latest magazines, having sex with their cell mate and being fed 3 meals a day for doing nothing!

We need to lower the amount of appeals on convictions. They can appeal for 10 years. Death row should be a quicker process too. Inmates shouldn’t be there more than five years tops!

vzwpix   January 16th, 2010 - 5:35 am

I can see why the lifer might do this, but the other guy is only in for 4 years for fraud.

elohel   January 20th, 2010 - 4:14 am

Hometown, you make me laugh. I have seen doctors with tattoos and piercings–it is nothing more than a form of expression, like getting hair dyed or wearing a necklace. Just because someone feels that having a nose ring, or their child’s birthday across their wrist does not mean they are low life scumbags.
There are plenty of those behind the normal, everyday person. The teacher that secretly yearns for the children he teaches, or the doctor that molests people under anesthesia. To clump people with tattoos into a single category is ignorant, and you’re exceedingly ignorant if you cannot see that.
Granted, some people get them for attention–and they are idiots. To walk into a tattoo parlor, and say, “I want that because it’s cute”, is beyond dumb.

They carry meaning for a lot of people. And if there is one thing we will always have, it is our body, so why not carry what we love with us where ever we go?

elohel – istrongly agree with you. you seem like an intelligent person, unlike some of these “scumbags” trashing on people they know close to nothing about.

have a good day all.

PRAY FOR HAITI.

mort   January 21st, 2010 - 11:48 pm

Indeed, to judge a person based on the ink or piercings they have chosen themselves to apply to their person is to judge the person almost in full simply by a small detail.

What about the story behind the tattoo. What about the person behind the ink.

Same thing as racism. What if a white man was to tattoo himself black. He may have some strange reason, but indeed it is his reason and not yours. There will be haters on both sides. Whites hating because of skin color and blacks hating because it used to be a satirical way to reenact the intelligence of south african slaves.
All the while the true his reason for the tattoo was just to look cool :/

People will never accept other people. It sucks.
Sexism will always exist until we become asexual. These kind of things.
The common differences we find an ignorant reason to deny and hate.

I have a tattoo but theres a difference between a fashionable tattoo around my arm and having your eyes tattooed. frankly tattooed eyes are creepy and employers as unfair as it may be will judge based on your appearance. life isnt fair. these prisoners…..especially the ones with a chance of rejoining society should be receiving an education so they can maybe be productive one day. america is a proud country founded on proud beliefs and we should all do our very best to be someone our country can be proud of and if these individuals would rather embarrass their country they should be deported permanently to an island preferably in the pacific with venomous snakes on the mainland and tiger sharks in the surrounding waters in case they try to escape

Mike   June 18th, 2010 - 3:44 pm

I am the only person on this thread who thinks individuals have the right to do what they want?

It’s their eyes, their choice…who are you to call them stupid?

It’s their life, their choice…they screwed up and are now paying the consequences in jail.

These people are not sub human, they’ve made poor choices. That’s all.

blah   June 30th, 2010 - 3:28 pm

Wow..I think I’m actually more shocked at the responses than the video. To hometown: just stop. The more you reply, the more you come off as an a$$. And I wonder if the people suggesting we execute for stealing will be screaming “stretch his neck” when their kid gets picked up for theft. People make mistakes. Definitely not condoning, or agreeing with eye tattoos..but to say everyone with a tattoo is “worthless” is completely ignorant
