Whether ones political views agree with public figures like Sarah Palin or Hillary Clinton is truly irrelevant. Americans, specifically female Americans, should be appalled by the treatment that the mainstream media in conjunction, cooperation and, in some cases, collusion with the Obama propaganda machine, have used against two women candidates for national public office.
While I anticipate sexist and discriminatory treatment from some males, the fact that the most egregious treatment has come from ideological, elitist females within the MSM and entertainment industries is all the more disconcerting. That a WOMAN could condone, participate, and excuse such treatment of other female public figures and their families is inexcusable. It is one thing to disagree with position and policy; it is an entirely different matter to resort to sexist, elitist, and vitriolic personal attacks.
During the last 18 months, the sad spectacle of a feeding frenzy with other women leading the fray has saddened and angered this once hopeful young woman of the 70s. Whether the ideologically-blinded elitists will admit it or not, they have done irreparable harm to the advancement of American women.
