TSA has been called Security Theater and the Illusion of Security. TSA has become the instrument of the terrorists by wasting our time throwing away our possessions and inflicting humiliation on millions of Americans. What a bunch of cattle we have become for putting up with this. We need some profiling and concentrate on threats and move the rest along. The TSA agents that are smart enough to know what they are doing, or try to help move the lines along are handicapped with stupid rules. Maybe this will be a boon for small charter planes, because no one will want to fly for business anymore. And what a great vacations we will have losing a day for the greater good. The heck with it, the terrorist watch list should be a bounty list.

No more commercial air travel for me! For many years, I was an board-level airline executive! The new Dept. of Paranoia restrictions are the last straw. One carry-on piece? Excuse me, how can a businesswoman travel? She typically carries a handbag and a laptop computer? Check in a laptop? Forget it! The TSA or baggage handlers will steal it, drop it or ruin it. Laptops often carry confidential industrial information. They must be kept close to the owner at all times. No laptops or electronics allowed? Sorry, like most other businesspeople, I’m not going.

I can’t use the washroom an hour before landing. Sorry, that’s not going to happen with me as a passenger since I’m not going anymore. I’m going to stay home from now on. It’s gotten to the point where the hassles are too many and the benefits far too few. I’m happy I am out of the airline business since it just isn’t fun anymore. It was great while it lasted.

I think I share the sentements of many who state that it is about time that we profile passengers, particularly those who are not from the west.
