If the chipmunks jump off a roof, will you let your daughter do it too?

Political John   May 15th, 2010 - 10:18 am

And so we sacrifice our children to our false gods of media, and political correctness. Ba’al is pleased.

Lady liberty   May 15th, 2010 - 10:20 am

Father says they are trying to stop the video, why?
Their daughter does not watch music videos, just kids movies …yeah right.
Sorry but the girls should have been wearing age appropriate dance out fits & better choice of music…
ABC said they were 8 & 9 but the video poster said they were 7 yr..

wonder what they will be doing at 13….
Very sad….

Jon   May 15th, 2010 - 10:22 am

Read “The End of Childhood” by Neil Postman. He was right.

PFN   May 15th, 2010 - 10:27 am

The parents who allowed it and the idiot who choreographed it should be slapped around. It’s appalling. For crying out loud, BEYONCE wore more clothing in her video than these girls!!

evana perry   May 15th, 2010 - 10:28 am

This is so much more common than just this instance suggests. Two nights’ ago I was attending a school fair where a teenage dance troupe performed for the elementary school students. The dance troupe was scantily and suggestively dressed; the dance moves were nearing the lewd marker–I almost expected a pole to drop from the ceiling any minute. At the end of the performance they invited young girls–7-, 8- and 9-year-olds–to come up on-stage and perform with the troupe the same suggestive moves. This is NOT a contextual issue…unless you view it in the larger context of our present-day society.

Bingo   May 15th, 2010 - 10:28 am

These parents are completely fooling themselves.

Yes. WHY, Dad are you trying to stop it? Would you try to stop a video of her soccer game?

And, are you really this clueless? You’re SURPRISED this thing got on the internet?

Your lame, self-referencing justifications are pathetic. So “society” decides what your kid sees and hears? Really? Where are YOU? Oh. Right. You’re trying to get this “in context” video taken down.

Dad? Mom? Either you are proud of what you are seeing, what you allowed your daughter to do in public, or you are not.

Congratu-freakin-lations on providing content to millions of perverts around the world. Have you been living in a cave somewhere?!!

Zorg   May 15th, 2010 - 10:46 am

” urban dance contest ”

BLUES BROTHER   May 15th, 2010 - 10:48 am

“…the little girls, how much for the little girls?”

meester   May 15th, 2010 - 10:54 am

I guess the parents are doing what they can to make sure there are more talented lil’ teenage whores available in the years to come.
Personally I think that’s not necessary but that’s just me.

Leeza   May 15th, 2010 - 10:55 am

Think of all the pervs out there that are getting off on this video.

This is disgusting.

TEAinCA   May 15th, 2010 - 11:10 am

Very Adult for little children ,who do not understand sexual content. This looks like the Pussy Cat Dolls… What ever happened to Ballet? This not real art or dancing . These parents are stupid, teaching children about sexuality too early is a BIG mistake! Get rid of Hollywood and the music industry, they art corrupting our children and lives!!!!!

American   May 15th, 2010 - 11:22 am

Remember JonBenét Ramsey?
This is how it starts. Ramsey shows how it ends.

Anon   May 15th, 2010 - 11:33 am

These parents are not trying to stop the video. They are on nationwide TV. Bad parents.

RobertB   May 15th, 2010 - 11:34 am

So to outdo these girls, the next team will have to dance totally naked to “Me So Horny”. Oh, but it’s totally innocent.

GodFear   May 15th, 2010 - 11:37 am

Not my daughters…. Over my dead body.

Right on Political John

The parents should charged, this is border line soft core porn by 8 year olds. SICK!

dennisl59   May 15th, 2010 - 11:47 am

And everyone wonders why Islamofascists want to kill us? It’s because WE ARE morally bankrupt, a society of degenerates and perverts and an offense to God to display our daughters in this manner. This tape proves it.

In my opinion.

babyfacemagee   May 15th, 2010 - 11:48 am

This father and mother are clueless. To say it is ‘ok’ to let your daughter do something just because a song is popular in pop culture or because a dance organization or contest has others doing similar things is completely missing the point. It is YOUR job to have YOUR daughter not be a blind lemming and just follow lemmings that jump off a bridge. They should be teaching their kids how to think independently and how to respect themselves and NOT let themselves be exploited…just because others do. These are weakminded people that are obviously blinded by the fame and attention they are getting…and that they seek. They would have been doing a much better service to their kid by NOT letting her prostitute herself out for the sake of some stupid contest and teaching her what is and isn’t appropriate for her own selfworth. These parents are the typical brain-dead Los Angeles show-biz addicted idiots that you see every day here. They have such a myopic vision of what life is they have no idea how out of touch they are with the rest of the world.

Chris   May 15th, 2010 - 11:58 am

Our children are bombarded, indoctrinated, and programmed daily by TV, movies, magazines, newspapers, schools, and even dance classes that contain promote, and advocate sex, promiscuous behavior, and rebellious and disrespectful attitudes at younger and younger ages.

ilovepresidentpalin   May 15th, 2010 - 12:12 pm

It’s not “pop culture” you idiot crappy parents. You should be arrested on child porn charges for all the view of this. I’ll bet there have been pedophiles arrested for less then what you see on this video and these parents actually condone this?

txmike   May 15th, 2010 - 12:15 pm

I am not a dance expert but it appears that there are themes to dance and the theme that the children were displaying is more appropriate for adults. Seems like a no brainer to me.

swizzle   May 15th, 2010 - 12:25 pm

….always thought beauty contest for little girls was a little sick…way to instill B.S. values. This is right up there. oh well. sign of the times,….

L Stryder   May 15th, 2010 - 12:33 pm

These young girls look very very HOT. The dance moves are very very SEXY and SUGGESTIVE. And ohhhhh the grinding……. little girl butts and the crouching leg movements! Please…..does anyone think this appropriate for their NORMAL child? This has probably been downloaded by every pedophile logged on to the internet. A FREEBEE! Mom and Dad, thanks for sharing your little ones. This is exploitation and those parents are feeding the sickos with their children.

You absolutely nailed it. Good for you!

tngal   May 15th, 2010 - 12:57 pm

There’s something very odd about what the mother chose to wear, a top that is accentuating her bust line and provocatively cut to show more skin on one side than the other. The way she is turned some to the side and, as if she’s chosen her best angle, and her posture suggests that she is all about using sex to promote herself and her daughter. Very sick, but I’ve known women like this.

ChrisChristie2012   May 15th, 2010 - 1:00 pm

98% of all pedophiles agree. There should be more of this on TV.

bigstupidjerk   May 15th, 2010 - 1:02 pm

What will they be doing at 18? They will be “professional dancers” in a “men’s club” wearing similar outfits. The big similarity will be them saying how, “this makes me feel sexy and empowers me as a woman.” Good luck finding your soul, your sins will be upon the heads of your parents!!!

Katky52   May 15th, 2010 - 1:06 pm

Staphanopo-louse was drooling all over himself, he just couldn’t stop watching the video. What a pervert. This is what is destroying our country, a lack of morality, self-control, and common sense.

filament   May 15th, 2010 - 1:07 pm

Parents are exploiting kids for their own unfinished business… Kind of like Jon Benet Ramsey!

meh   May 15th, 2010 - 1:16 pm

I have a couple of girls in dance and this is very typical. The problem is that parents start and push their kids so young that their skills develop earlier. So people that see this and aren’t familiar with it become a little uncomfortable. The girls in that video probably practice 2 to 3 hours a day.

The disturbing part are the adults that sexualize it because the girls don’t understand it that way. It’s a character building sport like any other the competitions are between other dancers and not for perverted spectators.

TruthTeller   May 15th, 2010 - 1:37 pm

Yet another way to sexualize our children. Corrupting the most innocent.

My God, how sick and corrupt this country has become.

Listen carefully- you may be able to hear the gleeful laughter of demons from the deepest parts of hell…

wodiej   May 15th, 2010 - 1:48 pm

These are the same parents you see on the 5 o’clock news crying because their kid got kidnapped and/or raped/killed.

MsDollie   May 15th, 2010 - 1:56 pm

Just wrong, wrong on so many levels.

OH, I GET IT THEY WERE SAVING THEM FOR LOCAL PERVERTS!

ellen   May 15th, 2010 - 2:13 pm

We have now succumb to the devil in our society…the liberal progressives have won. What comes next? We will all be in lines to get soup and bread from the government. They have dumbed us so far down that this is just another example pathetic behavior from parents and children who don’t know any better!! God help us all….this is all coming to a very bad ending and we look like a bunch of poor, indigent, government sucking losers who have lost our freedoms. SHAME ON ALL OF US….

Daniel 2017   May 15th, 2010 - 2:15 pm

First of all, it is normalizing sexual behavior for them. These children are being taught that this type of behavior is OKAY, in public, and even in exhibition. It is not normal, and they should not be taught that it’s normal. A nine year absolutely has no capacity to measure behavior in context.

Secondly, WHERE do they go from there? Children do not like staying within boundaries, and if the boundaries are already set at the extreme, what will they do next?

Third, how does this effect their behavior and dress in public? Obviously they are going to be more provocative in essentially every way, and will be inviting disaster and mayhem to themselves, with no clue of how they are inviting it to themselves. I.e. There *are* rapists and murderers out there. Teaching your children to behave like this ensures that they will be the ones who get targeted.

Also, they are being taught to love the excessive attention and being put on a pedestal. This only nurtures narcissism, megalomania, and sociopathology. There are SO MANY BETTER PURSUITS. It is a sad world that does not appreciate what GOOD we could be doing instead.

tara1123   May 15th, 2010 - 2:18 pm

When you give up God, your soul, your freedom, your Country, this is what you get. These people are not qualified to be parents, we have enough of these losers who care more about fame than morality. This is truly sickening.

jason   May 15th, 2010 - 2:39 pm

Jesus is coming – and boy is he pissed.
…and people wonder why violence on children is so common.

Sickos.

strongthought   May 15th, 2010 - 2:41 pm

If the girls were doing a cuban-ethnic salsa or african dance, many of which are sexually suggestive of luring a mate, would we be hearing all this hoopla? Tell the parents to enroll them in ethnic dancing. Everyone will think it’s really cool and nobody will care about morality of doing it.

Where’s the little boys in speedos!!!????

Rich   May 15th, 2010 - 3:32 pm

First of all, this is totally inappropriate for 16 year old girls IMO. Secondly doesn’t the father remind you of the ballon boy’s father ?

Shameful.

WHAT A BUNCH OF PIGS!!!! They should not have kids – what lame excuses for putting young kids out there under the excuse of talent. WASN’T MEANT TO BE VIEWED BY ALL – then you dumb ignorant sob – why did you have them do it. WAKE UP AMERICAN- THIS IS THE FORMATION OF AMERICA’S FUTURE. Robert   May 15th, 2010 - 4:49 pm

‘Videos were not meant for a larger audience’…(We only allow our daughter to be viewed in this manner by small audiences)…hmmmm… I guess that makes sense in a liberal mindset sorta way. UNBELIEVABLE !!

EJO   May 15th, 2010 - 5:02 pm

In my opinion this comes damn close to being kiddie porn.

These little girls will have plenty of time to become exhibitionistic sluts when they are adults, and their parents can’t tell them what to do anymore.

The reason this video has gone viral, is possibly because thousands of perverts around the world, are masturbating while watching this thing.

The teachers, and parents who think this is perfectly OK, should be charged with some kind of crime, or at the very least, severely reprimanded for being so stupid.

What did that idiotic mother say? This was supposed to be a private dance competition? They didn’t think it would be seen world wide?

Oh! That makes me feel so much better to know that it’s OK for nine year girls to dance, and dress like sluts in private.

And somebody said that they didn’t think the girls thought they (the girls)were doing anything wrong.

Well of course the girls don’t think they are doing anything wrong. They are being brainwashed by child abusers who are posing as teachers, and parents.

And if I was one of the parents of these sweet little innocent girls, I would be mighty pissed off.

The_Pilgrim   May 15th, 2010 - 5:27 pm

So, liberals create an immoral societal norm that allows this sort of thing to happen, causes teenage STD and pregnancy rates to skyrocket, and preach “there is no God, do anything you want,” and say “if it feels good, do it,” and then liberals are totally amazed that hedonism is the current “standard!”

Talk about clueless!

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

sam   May 15th, 2010 - 5:28 pm

Some may have thought my mother a prude in the 60’s but I wasn’t allowed to wear two-piece suits nor half-shirts as a child. I was taught that a woman’s clothing should be tight enough to show she’s a woman but loose enough to show that she’s a lady. Not a bad motto. The parents of these children, are, in my opinion, practicing emotional and sexual abuse of their children.

socalindian   May 15th, 2010 - 6:01 pm

We’ve sunk pretty low as a society when we have parents of 8 and 9 year old baby girls (really think about it… these girls are BABIES)defending their decision to allow them to dance like this! I’m going to start a new facebook fan page = “horse whip the parents of these girls”!

JaenBlu   May 15th, 2010 - 6:02 pm

Being a dancer and having a daughter that is also a dancer this is the worst way to showcase the talent that these little girls obviously have. Shame on these parents and on the dance teacher for having them grind like strippers and dress in lingerie like “tots”tiutes!

"whatsoever things are pure"   May 15th, 2010 - 6:19 pm

As a mother of a teen daughter, I can not say how saddened and angry I am at the group of parent’s/promoters who basically whored their pure and lovely children out as “prositi-tots” for the sake of art. Where is your common sense parents? Listen to yourselves justify why ANYONE should view your daughter’s like this???? Why did you sign away your daughter for this kind of “contest”? Are you shallow enough to not see thru this thinking of your’s? WOW just WOW. Of course some portion of our culture is going to “approve” and of course it’s pop-culture, that doesn’t make it intelligent. It’s a shame when we don’t protect our little girls, but promote their loss of innocence. Ask God to forgive you for failing your little girl’s innocence of youth. All I can do is shake my head and pick my jaw up off the ground at the sheer stupidity, and lack of any moral judgement…for the sake of ART???? WHAT?

R from ID   May 15th, 2010 - 6:52 pm

It doesn’t matter whether this was viewed by a million people or viewed by a handful of people. It’s still the same. The difference is, you got caught by people who see this differently than these parents do.

Yes, it was at a dance contest. It probably is, not to be an excuse, is accepted at such an event. Maybe Mr. & Mrs. Parent, you should look for more appropriate venues that will showcase your daughter’s talents.

Mrs. Parent seems to say, it doesn’t matter what your lack of morals are, what’s important is to be accepted by society, cave in to peer pressure, and do what ever it takes to win.

No matter how you paint this picture, it’s still called immoral.

Another Day Closer   May 15th, 2010 - 7:00 pm

California values, the parents are sick, self serving perverts who would sell their children into prostitution if it was legal. But if they were sewing sports clothing in a third world country the Libs would be having a cow. Your children as your meal ticket, Fame here they come! And how they rationalize (Cali Libs for sure), the model of things to come in the Progressive Soviet States of America. Any father who would abide this is a POS!!!!!!

Jr Deputy Accountant   May 15th, 2010 - 7:25 pm

Note to Dad: Anyone can upload a video to the Internet these days.

hola amigo   May 15th, 2010 - 7:40 pm

lala   May 15th, 2010 - 7:50 pm

Pedophile delight is what this dance video is. The parents if you want to call them that are morons. Moments like this make you question why some people have loose morals and values, well these parents are exhibit A. These people should have been sterilized before they were able to procreate.

sage   May 15th, 2010 - 8:26 pm

These deviants posted this online, bs they didn’t want it to get out, couple of filthy liars. Typical liberal Hollywood trash.

im tired just watching them.
i thought it was funny for the most part.
they have to be dedicated to get all those
moves down.,at that age, thats amazing., they
went overboard on the hip gyrations tho.,,lol.

Be Sober   May 15th, 2010 - 10:05 pm

We live in a free society and with that we have to deal with opposition of opinions. I don’t agree with these parents, however we should not take their freedom away because they choose to parent differently. The power of disagreement should be in the fact that we not give it anymore attention. Do not go passing laws because of your offense.

rtrout   May 15th, 2010 - 10:20 pm

I don’t think these girls should be listening to this kind of music much less wearing such outfits and moving like that. I feel like their innocence is lost and I’m a mother of three little girls.

Blue Collar Todd   May 15th, 2010 - 10:27 pm

These parents should have stayed quiet. Their tortured logic makes them look all the more vacuous:

First, it does not matter that the context of the dance was at a competition and not intended to be seen by a wider audience. The overtly sexual moves these girls are preforming are inappropriate regardless. It seems stripper poles on stage would have been appropriate. Second, the mother claims the daughter has not seen the Beyonce video but yet her daughter is dancing like she wants to have sex with someone. Third, the absurd idea that the Victoria Secret like outfits are to help with movement. It is not analogous to going out swimming, girls who swim at this age wear one piece swim suits that cover their bodies. These parents ought to be ashamed of themselves. It figures that this took place in California. Maybe they will be porn stars when they get older? They already have the moves down.

Be Sober May 15th, 2010 – 10:05 pm

The trouble is “Be Sober”, I would agree if it were the mothers who were portraying, filthy, sex addicted, promiscuous, degenerate, slutty, ignoramuses, but it is children dressed as street whores, dancing to sell their wares.

The children have no choice, do what mummy and daddy want or you won’t be a star!!

mg24   May 15th, 2010 - 11:05 pm

If it is OK, why are you trying to stop it? It wasn’t meant to be seen by millions of people? This perversion is ok as long as not too many people see it? It’s not even the skimpiness of the outfits. If they wore little short tanks and spandex shorts (showing the same amount of skin and not restricting any movement) It would be appropriate and their talents would really shine through. They are amazingly talented, but why the need to dress them like hookers? And it really does not show of any talent to have them move their hips like that.

Roman Polanski   May 15th, 2010 - 11:14 pm

I’m not seeing a problem here.

truthwarrior   May 15th, 2010 - 11:19 pm

Don’t these people get it?! This has been in the plan since the ’60’s – dumb down society so that socialism can take effect. Make sexual deviancies so normal that people don’t know what hit them. Inject society with constant entertainment, leisure, and addictions so that their brains are numb to what is right and good. Make truth relative and talk PC – there you have it- a great recipe for government takeover.

mg24   May 15th, 2010 - 11:24 pm

@Be Sober May 15th, 2010 – 10:05 pm

Are you high or something? They choose to parent differently? Where do you draw the line? Using your twisted logic, parents who beat, emotionally, psychologically or sexually abuse their kids are a OK, they just choose to parent differently.

iconoclastKM   May 15th, 2010 - 11:27 pm

Oh yeah…

These parents are saying that it was NEVER meant to be seen by the general public; only those judges!

Sure! We believe that.

Dance is a performing art form, meant to be presented to an AUDIENCE. Hello! This is not Ballet or Tap.

And this dance, and those costumes don’t sexualize these children, right?

Yeah, right!

No child today would want to be on television. And these parents aren’t happy that their kids are now on national television with this story. Sure!

This folks, is a perfect example of “defining deviancy down”.

These parents are simply obtuse.

SAS   May 15th, 2010 - 11:32 pm

“Put it in context and it’s not bad” Well, let’s reason a bit. What you are really saying is that in every other context it would be bad but since it is in the arena of a dance competition that makes it ok. Does the world know how to reason anymore?
A world of leading our kids to greater foolishness!

iconoclastKM   May 16th, 2010 - 12:00 am

Are their grandparents happy about this?

I’m just trying to figure out how this flies under the radar with these idiot parents.

John Campbell   May 16th, 2010 - 2:37 am

This was WRONG.

Is there anyone out there that would deny this world has it pedophiles? Is there anyone out there that would deny that such a pedophile might be getting their sickness fed by this?

Anyone who wants to try to claim that only a pedophiles mind would see it this way is attempting to cover for themselves being the very sick individuals I’m speaking of. You know right from wrong. Don’t try to hide your perversion by pointing fingers elsewhere. Get some mental help before you harm someone. Get some mental help before you harm someone and then I harm you.

Chris T   May 16th, 2010 - 3:24 am

The mother even admits, herself, that it [the song] is pop culture and it permeates everything so it is impossible to keep her kids from hearing it… YET SOMEHOW this hypocritical woman manages to convince herself and tries to convince us that her child only watches kids shows and has never seen MTV, much less this video. WTF??? I guess the kid is blind or something because apparently she only hears things that permeates all of society? What a hack. Just admit you are one of those parents that sell your children’s innocence out to relive your childhood to try an win some trophies.

SmarterThanLibs   May 16th, 2010 - 11:01 am

Here’s a hint it was too far: They are wearing LESS than Beyonce in her video. ADULTS picked the damn outfits and adults choreographed the dance SPECIFICALLY to sexualize those young girls… period. And that mother’s and father’s excuse is pure INSANITY. The damage being done has nothing to do with how many people are watching, it is ALL about what those little girls are going to grow up thinking of themselves. Idiots.

Jerseygirl   May 16th, 2010 - 11:15 am

Parents = totally clueless – in internet, life, and most importantly parenting. These “dance” outfits were more revealing than what Beyonce wore in her video. There are other outfits that could have been worn to show off the KIDS form etc. The mother is a joke. “This wasn’t to be seen by millions on the internet” Dont the parents read or watch the news? Don’t they listen to the pleadings from police depts on how to protect kids on or from the internet. The father is a joke. This shouldnt have been seen by the people in the AUDIENCE you fools.
As someone previosly posted….what’s next? Dancing with a g-string only by 7 year olds? THIS IS WHY THOSE IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD HATE US. Especially in the Muslim community. This is what they see. This is what they think America has become – a people of total immorality. Can you blame them? What those people dont realize is that many in THIS country hate what has happened to our country. Little girls SHOULD NOT be dancing like this, in these outfits PERIOD. THEY ARE LITTLE GIRLS parading around like little ho’s. Shame on the parents for allowing and agreeing with this. Because society says its ok? BULL!!! You ARE society or at least YOU should dictate what your children should wear and how they dance. Will you use the same excuses when your daughters come home pregnant at too early an age or worse with a STD? “This is what they are doing so its OK” OMG these parents need parenting classes BIG TIME. and not those offered by Hollywood

I’ve watched this twice.

My take:

The outfits – completely inappropriate. This is emulating lingerie. Even Beyonce and the chipmonks wore more.
The music – its a really catchy tune. I’d let my daughter listen to it, not gyrate to it.
The choreography – what the hell was the choreographer thinking? She is the one to be blamed. Not the kids.
Sexuality – don’t kid yourself, many girls this age know exactly what they’re doing. I work with them. Sex attracts boys and they know it.
Parents – I can give them a pass if they didn’t know the choreography. However, if they bought the costumes, and then dressed their budding tarts in them, they should be ashamed.
The dancing – I have seen the same moves in strip clubs and bars. I have never seen those moves taught to and repeated by children.
The talent – sorry, those kids are copying some cool adult moves but some of their moves are sloppy and out of synch – they only seem better than they are because they are doing more difficult, adult-appropriate moves.

Parents, try taking Matthew 18:6 “out of context.”

Whether it’s meant to be viewed by millions of people or five, it is NEVER ok to dress up your under aged girls like prostitutes, let alone have them girate like strippers on invisible poles. I get angry when my daughter picks up this trashy stuff from schools… she’s the same age and is starting to point out “hot” guys and display inappropriate dance moves in her pajamas! It’s absolutely appalling!

Notice the weak, lispy voice on the old man.

I bet all the pedofiles were thrilled with this. I guess next year they will have a stripper pole to keep up with the dancing. Those parents are pitiful to allow this. How can her father not know what men are thinking when they look at their daughter. Shameful! I guess they don’t remember about JonBennet Ramsey another little girl that was dressed up like a 23 year old model.

For the kids!   May 17th, 2010 - 10:26 am

For those of you interested in the phenomenon of the hypersexualization of children, (of which this controversy is an excellent example), please see the excellent documentary “Sexy, Inc: Our Children Under Influence” at Canada’s National Film Board website http://www.nfb.ca

Search for “Sexy Inc” in the search field. It is a fine examination of the pressures young girls –and to a lesser extent, boys– face in our highly sexually charged culture.

As an educator I find this very inappropriate and if the parent’s think it’s “out of context”, NOTHING your kids do are out of context, period. It’s just backtracking. The gyrations especially are overtly sexual and the song is not intended for youth at this age. It’s a poplular song, Mom says. So what? Sext-ing is popular too. That doesn’t make it okay.

The parents are so asleep it’s scary, they need to speak with a therapist. If the kids don’t know it’s wrong, then they SHOULD be told it’s wrong. As a parent you have to educate your children from a younger age than this, what is acceptable.

As a parent it’s disgusting, unless you’re trying to exploit your kids and don’t care. There are better types of appropriate dance than this. Have some class.
