Palin Leaves Door Open to Third Party Bid in 2012

"If the Republican party gets back to that [conservative] base, I think our party is going to be stronger and there's not going to be a need for a third party, but I'll play that by ear in these coming months, coming years."

If she does, it will split the Republican vote and we will be stuck with the Socialist/Marxist four more years. NOT a good idea Sarah!

ChickificationIsNotTheAnswer!   December 8th, 2009 - 12:08 pm

****************** ALL OF THE MONEY from the COPENHAGEN Climate Change Global Warming SCAM is going to THE PRIVATE CENTRAL BANKS of the WORLD!!! Kind of like the way ALL of the TARP MONEY ended up in the accounts of THE NEW YORK FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS!!! Wonder if Miss Sarah is HIP to that!?? Make your FAMILY SUCCESSFUL FIRST Miss Sarah, then try to solve AMERICAS problems!!! RE: http://www.infowars.com

Will   December 8th, 2009 - 12:14 pm

No honey , no ! Don’t split the republican party. You will only insure the continuing present attack on American freedom,of the fascist Marxists now in charge .
We need to unite to take our country back from our not so benevolent dictators. Not split the party to make a good showing.
If you get the nomination ,then well and good . If not, then so be it .

Ron   December 8th, 2009 - 12:19 pm

I hope this doesn’t happen. I am no fan of the current (R) party and I don’t want another round of Obama. I will be engaged and as focused as I was last election.

cooperscopy   December 8th, 2009 - 12:20 pm

Wow, that is a blockbuster admission, and does make for an interesting next couple of years…Read: Will Sarah lead the tea party movement…at..

Roger Cotton   December 8th, 2009 - 12:23 pm

Good. I’m glad Sarah threw this out there.

There needs to be pressure on the GOP to change. Otherwise, it will behave in exactly the same “snatch defeat from the jaws of victory” way as they always does.

I do not want our Party to ever return to 2008. I want representatives with principle and the courage to stand up to the Marxists.

If a third party splits the vote, I frankly don’t give a heck. The long-term goal is to be “Americans” again. If we can’t do this politically, we’ll find another way.

jason   December 8th, 2009 - 12:35 pm

This will happen if the Repubes don’t pull their heads out – kinda suspicious why NO REPUBLICANS TAKE ON THIS ADMIN.
Joe Wilson’s half hearted and then apologetic “You Lie” is what people were craving.

Republicans are pussies and people are getting antsy. The DemoRats know that the more they offend the Patriots in this country the more likely they will make this happen. They know the Repubes are gutless so they keep baiting us patriots so we WILL form another party so they win.

The tea parties are in charge of the opposition and the first Repube that realizes it and takes the party by the horns will be swept into office.
I think they are in cahoots with each other and just offering a lite version so as to arrive in the same place eventually.

aww Travis No on the Beck 2012 he is not presidential material.

As far as 3rd party goes bad idea..We the people will take care of the Rinos.

Greg Klug   December 8th, 2009 - 12:50 pm

You don’t change the party…..you change the people in it. We don’t need a third party, we need a party that is willing to oppose the current administration. I’m confident we can find the Republicans to do it, we just need to look away from the dolts currently in Washington. They killed us by letting this sick SOB become president. For that, they should be sent home as a message to all those trying to make nice with Marxists.

Damn them all…but a third party would damn ourselves.

JervisTetch   December 8th, 2009 - 12:54 pm

I like the pressure that the possibility of a third party puts on Republicans, but I HATE the reality of a third party.

Palin will be an apostate if she branches into a third party.

zebo   December 8th, 2009 - 12:57 pm

With polls indicating that Tea Party candidates would poll better than the GOP, it looks to me that the GOP has already become irrelevant.

Let the GOP dwindle and try to grab a hold of those “moderate” Democrats that they seek with great effort to attract.

Candidates that attended the tea parties are already challenging incumbents in both parties. They run the gambit on the issues but their coalescing force is that they are truly fiscal conservatives. The people inherently know it. They support it. The GOP has proven that they can’t claim the mantle of being fiscally conservative. Those that are the well-known fiscal conservatives will leave the GOP if a Tea Party forms and leave the GOP as less of a political force.

zebo   December 8th, 2009 - 1:02 pm

Jervis, she is already a pariah within the GOP. The GOP had it’s moment in 1994 and squandered it by trying to position itself as marginally less distasteful as the democrats, instead of pushing the conservative values that got them elected. They never tried to expand the party by trying to convince people that their ideas were correct. They expanded their ideas to include the ideology of their opponents, trying to woo over voters of the opposing party.

No thanks!

Palin running for president is a progressive liberal’s dream come true.

RUN SARAH RUN!!!!

On FOXNEWS.com multiple people were talking about a website called Dearpolitician.org. I took the time to check it out and I must say, I am truly amazed at what they have done. They have automated the process of writing your politicians. They automatically pull the politicians in your district, you just choose who you want to send your letter to: President, Vice President, Senators, Congressman, and Governor. Then, you type what you want to say in their template and choose if you want to print and mail them yourself, or have them fax your letter to each of their offices for free. I suggest all Americans go to this site and write your letters now. It’s Free and non-partisan.

anne can   December 8th, 2009 - 1:45 pm

Only a few conservative democrats

Only a few conservative black folk

Only a few conservative hispanics will be able to vote republican because of historical prejudice .

But they may vote for a conservative party in line with their beliefs. There can only be two options on the ballot in order to win…SO…do we conservatives eliminate the Republican brand ? Or add to, change the name, to reflect the new conservative “republican” party?

EEuro   December 8th, 2009 - 3:02 pm

If amnesty passes, it is all over, after Obama you will have president Oprah or Tiger Woods.

m miller   December 8th, 2009 - 3:16 pm

Palin if this is your strategy. I would suggest you that you reread Aristotle’s Politics or read it for the first time; however, it may be. Your idea is a lose-lose situation. I suggest reading it because Aristotle explains in great detail as to why a third party should be a mute idea in America.

Dooley   December 8th, 2009 - 4:46 pm

Sarah Palin shouldn’t do this.

It would open up the door to a 2nd Obama term. Bill Clinton became President when Ross Perot
opened the door to him via his 3rd party candidacy.

Would be better to lead a “We The People” movement. If Republicans got on board, they’d be welcome.

anne can   December 8th, 2009 - 5:28 pm

I hope she is just trying to slap the Republican leadership around. Make them come to their senses.

Republican voter   December 8th, 2009 - 6:13 pm

This clown already split the GOP. Run, Sarah, run…back to Alaska!

Now SFU, you stupid twit! Every time that you open your mouth, we sink deeper. If you want another four years of Obama then by all means keep your stupid puss out there to remind America of what we almost had!

Roger Cotton   December 8th, 2009 - 6:51 pm

Have the Republicans shown ANY courage and decisive leadership in the past year? Past month? Are some of you guys going to keep waiting and hope the leadership changes?

Is that a winning strategy?

swizzle   December 8th, 2009 - 6:53 pm

LMFAO

No one votes 3rd party in 2010 or 2012!!! If you do, you are STUPID   December 8th, 2009 - 7:40 pm

Sarah, if you run as an Independent like Ross Perot did, you’ll be pulling a “Clinton”. It’s how America got stuck with Bubba for 8 years. No, a 3rd party already exists, it’s called the “Independent” party. The call to arms that is working right now is no one votes for 3rd party members in 2012, like Bob Barr, the corny “Constitutional Party”, the Green Party, or any of those other loser parties. You vote REPUBLICAN in force so we take this country back from disaster under OBOWma!

TulsaMark   December 8th, 2009 - 8:41 pm

Obama and the Democrats are salivating at the prospect of Palin running as a
3rd party candidate, because it would mean 4 MORE YEARS OF OBAMA.

3rd parties NEVER WIN.

Reagan didn’t believe in 3rd parties either.

Read history of 3rd parties: http://www.thisnation.com/question/042.html

LizDee   December 9th, 2009 - 7:04 am

I agree with Will
“Say it ain’t so, Sarah”.

I know we are a nation of very short memories, but think back to what a 3rd party did to the Republican party in 1992 with Perot.
The election of Bill Clinton was won by a mere 4%, Perot got 19% of the vote.
It gave us 8 yrs of Bill Clinton, and more importantly an “entitled” Democrat party, that saw nothing wrong in everything they did or tried to do under Clinton, and now are doing with Obama to hurt our great country.

I also agree with Roger.
This may be the “wake up call” that Republicans need.
Let them have the crap scared out of them, so that they can stand up and scream instead of sitting in the background like whimps!

I don’t contribute a lot, but not one dime will go to the RNC.
My money will go to candidates who are willing to tell it like it is, call out Dems for what they are, and stand for values I believe in.
STOP sending $$$ to the RNC or they’ll continue to present RINOS.
If you don’t want RINOS in the Republican party, then don’t give the RNC the means to distribute campaign $$$ to them.

Tim   December 9th, 2009 - 7:39 am

I love it…Palin pushing her weight around to get the Republican party where it should be. Palin is no dummy. People that actually think she’ll run as an indie are mistaken.

Hey Republican voter ie. Obama drone, YOU LIE. She hasn’t split the republican party she’s strengthened it, check the polls. How’s that Obama smear Palin money?

Republican voter   December 9th, 2009 - 9:20 am

Tim,
You are a complete idiot if you think that Palin has strengthened anything. Throwing out moderate Republicans (Rhinos to you numbskulls) is a strange way of strengthening the GOP. Here is a message for you–you can’t win without us! If you try, you will have another four years of Obama. Who would you rather have in the White House, Obama or a Rhino? The country will not vote for Palin, of that you can be sure.

And I am a Republican. Some of us don’t like this woman and will never vote for a ticket that includes her. I know that you don’t believe this, but that is a fact. Live with it!

Tim   December 9th, 2009 - 12:42 pm

Sorry Republican voter ie Obama drone she has the support of 80% of Republican voters. You call that a split? Throwing out moderate Repubs? Tell me who she has thrown out?

Oh so you’re worried about Obama winning if she runs against him but you say you’d never vote for her over Obama….lol….what a joke. Proves who you really are.

Republican voter   December 9th, 2009 - 10:05 pm

You are right about one thing. I would never vote for this empty headed woman. If the choice is between her and Obama, I am staying home on election day. Keep laughing, Tim, and enjoy another four years of Obama!
