PA Senator’s Critics Gather in DC Office to Pray

CBN: About 60 Pennsylvanians took their concerns about health care reform directly to Sen. Bob Casey today, or at least to his Capitol Hill office. They gathered there to pray that the senator, a self described pro-life Democrat, will put his allegiances as a Catholic Christian before his allegiances as a Democrat when it comes to casting key votes on health care legislation.

You have done exactly what our Christian GOD has asked us to do…pray for leaders in authority over us to make decisions that will be good for “all” Americans no matter what faith!

Don’t frame this as a choice between a Christian Catholic and Casey’s duties to his constituency.

They are both the same! Vote in the negative toward anything this senate/congress does towards”fixing” healthcare. This is a red herring. Funding to start in 2010 and benefits to start in 2014? This is an accounting scheme/scam.

Start over the process and include tort reform, interstate procurement of health insurance policies, health savings accounts, and other free-market principles. Abolish state insurance commissioners. Consider a tax policy to help poor people with premiums.

Consider free-market options to allow health insurance portability and handling of folks who have been faithfully paying into the health insurance system but now have become expensive to insure due to an unforeseen pre-existing condition.
