The senator was quoting from a Goldman internal memo. Their sales department described the invesment they were to sell as “sh+ty”. Their words, not Levin’s.

Take off your Limbaugh issued blinders and look at the facts as they are.

While I think Democrats are hyenas, I think what we have here is a hyena taking down a skunk. The real question is whether Goldman Sachs disclosed, not their characterization of the deal, but the real worth/value of the deal. If yes, the there’s no foul and Democrat heads should roll. If no, then there is and Goldman heads should roll. Pretty simple – if we can get to the FULL field of facts.

Levin got off on being able to say that word and knows full well the more often a fact is spoken the more familiar it becomes to the listener, and the more familiar it becomes the more acceptable the premise that the deal was s****y to the listener, whether it was in fact s****y or not.

The politicians who participate in this type of grandstanding would better serve their country if they would look into the connection between the Joyce Foundation, on which Mr. Obama was a board member, the formation of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) in which Goldman is a major stock holder, as is Mr. Gore along with several other ex-Goldman executives.

This is nothing but a dog an pony show and all the characters participating know full well it is done solely for the purpose of giving the impression the Democrats are doing something about greed on Wall Street. Mortgage Debt Relief Act of 2005 that essentially made all of these deals SH*TTY.

You guys need to butt the hell out of business you have no business or brains regulating.
You and your Ms. Stabenow essentially made a law to make it favorable for these credit risks
to be taken (Sh**TTY Law Number One) and then once things startied getting SH**TTY you created
another SH**TTY Law that created an advantage to choose foreclosure of your home
(a secured asset) vs. not paying their credit cards (unsecured assets).

Both SH**TTY Laws still exist to this day and until you fix your mistakes I contend that
virtually every home in the United States will essentially have to be turned over at least once.

I also contend that YOU and YOUR FELLOW SENATOR are the TRUE MARKET MAKERS and IN THIS CASE YOU
