* increase costs and premiums
* put more and more bureaucrats between doctors and patients
* decrease the quality of care
* eliminate choices for Americans

What the dems don’t get is that they can WANT to cover all the uninsured all they want. But if they can’t pay for it then it won’t WORK! If it doesn’t work the whole system suffers.
Fix healthcare. Why expand a broken system? How will expanding it make it cheaper?
The bus has two flat tires does it make sense to keep driving it and pick up more passengers and everyone gets trapped on the side of a highway. Or do you take some time — fix the flat tires — then you can pick up more passengers and everyone gets to where they are going.
Let us buy insurance over state lines. Let us take company plans with us when we change jobs. Let us buy major medical insurance plans (you can’t in NY right now). Let us pay out of pocket if we can (You can not pay out of pocket in Massachusetts right now). Do something about malpractice insurance. Simplify the paper process. People who can pay out of pocket for a doctor’s appointment should!
We need more Senators like Tom Coburn.

@larse: Thanks for the warning, however, I’m quite aware that she is rather ‘unique,’ for lack of a better word. However, bring ‘er on any day — I would joyfully challenge her to a spelling bee, debate, etc. I was the queen bee of my j-class at USC and wrote my first letter-to-the-editor at age eight. I challenge her use of the word ‘democrazi’ to describe anyone challenging her weird rhetoric and crazy conclusions. She’s not dangerous or threatening in any manner, she just spews out hate and dire warnings, along with many discouraging lies about our current President. I find that repulsive. On any website! If the healthcare legislation is so GREAT, why are the Democrats voting on it in the dark of night on a Saturday night? Why are they not presenting the facts of the bill to the American people? Is it because the numbers do not add up? The Democrats /Socialist say that there is a need to pass this legislation today because thousands of people are dying because of the lack of healthcare. Yet the benefits do not go into effect until 4 years from now, so by their calculations are they going to let thousands more of Americans die? Why do they want to put people in jail for not wanting to buy health insurance? Would that even be constitutional? Why do they have to bribe certain Senators in order to get them to vote for it? Is Eric Holder going to investigate this bribe? Will the news media begin doing their job and expose this fraud? Why is it that politicians say one thing but do another, Joe Liebermann? Will the American people stand up and be heard to stop this monstrosity? These are just some questions that should be answered before proceeding with this legislation.

Malpractice is a type of negligence in which the misfeasance, malfeasance or nonfeasance of a professional, under a duty to act.
A congressman or senator has sworn to safeguard the Constitution. They are mandating insurance, taking away our freedom to live (if you get a car you need auto insurance, if you live you need health insurance), taxing us for something we don’t want and won’t use, which is mandated. Why did we have the Tea party, because the king told us we had to pay for tea we didn’t want. Now we are ‘represented’ and yet the public has said they don’t want it and the ‘Representatives’ are going to make us take it anyway. This is the definition of malpractice.

Why are you not speaking up on behalf of all those actively serving in the military that are being held hostage by this fraud of a Commander N’ Chief who supports all things Islamic and nothing American!
Cannot even make a decision to send troops to help troops already in the field…even though the General he put in place…recommended it to be successful in their endeavors in Afghanistan!
Veterans…active military cannot speak up…you MUST BE THEIR VOICES TO THE INJUSTICE THEY ARE LIVING!
Every time I see him in a “photo op” before our troops…it makes me sick knowing that these men may not appreciate what is happening to their armed services and cannot…cannot even yell in opposition when he is speaking to them and using them!
