The elite media have always been like this. The manipulation of information for power.
The irony is that leftist tactics in journalism run counter to maintaining freedom of the press. They promote and endorse leftists and even outright communist figures in a free society, which if elected and put in power would reverse and eventualy eliminate the freedoms these same so-called "journalists" enjoy.
I can just see the shock on their faces when the people they put into power have their editors replaced with state appointed editors and any resistance or complaint to the now state-run paper will be met with arrest or execution.
