LOL, she’s likely buying a new car!
Too bad for TB.
Bet they won’t be so stupid about handling their cash deposits in the future.

(Besides, what business needs to make ‘morning deposits’ to the bank directly are they in financial trouble? Isn’t a daily deposit enough? Just wondering…)

Two thousand dollars – what two thousand dollars?

Hey Taco, get serious!

(On top of that, they should pay you two thousand for eating the stuff.)

Check the register receipts and look for the item “deposit” with 2000 orders next to it.

Billy   May 17th, 2010 - 9:34 am

you’ll need that to buy Toilet paper after eating that stuff

Two thousand dollars? From a fast food restaurant? That’s all? Business must be awful.

I like the two crackheads they got comments from. Jimy Walker. haha

Has to be an inside job. If an accident, an illegal immigrant probably is the lucky recipient of the mistake and is saying “Ariba, Ariba, I love this country!”

hooptee   May 17th, 2010 - 10:34 am

It may be ethically the right thing to do but legally, naw.
They gave her the bag of money unsolicited. It wasn’t incorrect change. It’s their mistake and legally they have to eat the cost.

Silver 1992 Isuzu Rodeo, 4cylinder (no V6 emblem on front fender) and without front licence plate and black tire cover. Shouldn’t be that hard to locate

ya put 2K in a plastic Taco Bell bag, Hmmm. How often do you take burritos to the bank?

About 30 years ago I worked in a full service gas station (where we pumped the gas for the customer – remember them?) and the midnight shift guy was “conviently”
robbed every month or so; no cameras back then either (owner cheap). Eventually we learned he staged the robbery and split the cash with a friend. You have to
wonder if a minimum wage employee would make a “mistake” like this on purpose. Hmmm?

PatriotInExile   May 17th, 2010 - 11:47 am

Okay. SOP is for the manager to come through the drive through and pick up the daily deposit, which has been placed in a Taco Bell bag? That in itself should clue in the owner that the manger is a moron. I can’t believe this wasn’t part of the focus on the story.

duh_swami   May 17th, 2010 - 12:46 pm

All I ever get from fast food places is stale taco/bun, limp lettuce, questionable tomato, sour mayo, and green meat…Tastes good though with enough salt and pepper…it’s probably best to carry a small bottle of aluminum hydroxide gel in your car just in case…If I got a bag of cash like that instead of a bag of rot, I would consider it a blessing…

Proof they CAN’T actually count to three…

ignoranceisblissnomore   May 17th, 2010 - 8:51 pm

How could this be against the law? They gave her the money willingly without instructions? pfft….
