The only reason that oil companies have to drill a mile underwater is because assholes like Obama have been closing the places within the US to drilling for some other asshole enviromental midgets.
We have billions of gallons of oil within our own borders to drill… so it’s Obama and the enviromentalists fault for this oil spill out in the Gulf of Mexico…. because they forced us to drill in extremely hazardous areas.

Have you heard: Gulf Oil Spill is not even close to the top 12 oil spills in the world, it may be more than Valdez but it has lost less than 11M Gallons while the worst lost 140M gallons, #12 lost more than 36 million gallons. Obama lies in his press conference and needs to be held accountable for his administration’s part. Thank goodness for BP’s Top Kill Program, no thanks to Obama. The biggest was in the Gulf of Mexico and did effect the United States.

It’s safer for the workers and environment to drill on land and close to shore. The BP well is 5,000 feet down and 40 miles out in the ocean. It’s hundreds of times more difficult and dangerous to drill for the oil and when a blow-out occurs to cap it. Environmentalists and their lobbyists have forced past administrations and Congress to restrict and close off drilling on land and close to shore. This has forced oil companies to drill for oil many miles out in the ocean.

The reason Obama has never said “drill baby drill” is the fact that he doesn’t want America to ever become energy independent… period. He wants America’s energy needs to be produced and run on wind, solar, and bellows of hot-air coming from the White House and Democrat controlled Congress it seems. He said he was ‘against’ Nuclear power on the campaign trail, that he was ‘against’ coal and clean coal technology implementation, that he was ‘against’ offshore oil drilling, that he was ‘against’ hydrogen fuel cell technology, etc., etc..
Look folks, let’s face it. Obama was probably hoping all along for some kind of oil rig disaster after sheepishly suggesting America should open up certain parts of the eastern seaboard to offshore drilling a couple months ago. I hope to God a thorough “independent” investigation will be carried out because truthfully I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Obama administration (after a thorough and independent investigation) joined in cahoots with radical environmentalists and somehow are culpable in perpetrating this disaster to the excesses we’re seeing. As we all know, the Obama administration waited over a whole week before they acknowledged publicly the disaster even happened! And now we’re six weeks into this horrible mess and our lame Government HASN’T DONE A “SINGLE” THING!! in helping to stop the flow of oil gushing out and destroying our Gulf coastline, its ecosystem, and Gulf states’ economies in the process. If ever a President needed to grow a pair to show the American people he has at least a semblance of care, concern, and urgency to PLUG THE DAMN HOLE(S)!! it was the DAY the disaster happened and NOT six weeks into the stupid thing! And even though the Obama administration is trying to explain to the American people that they have it all under control and they are doing all they can to help the situation out I can tell you flat-out that the American people DON’T BELIEVE HIM OR THEM!!!
