Lobbyists act as intermediaries, trying to influence government on behalf of their clients, often large corporations. In the case of the recent legislation attempting to nationalize healthcare, the Obama administration eliminated lobbyists by negotiating corrupt deals directly with the healthcare industry- Such as the deal it cut with the Pharmaceutical industry to block imports from Canada.

I think the Republicans got to wake up to the fact that the democrats are not their friends. How could they agree to that stupid format that was requested by the democrats. That request should have been denied. Its was plain to me that it was a request to just repeat Obama’s talking points and to spread the blame for the disaster the democrats are creating. Nothing was accomplished. The republicans have to be smarter.
