I saw this yesterday and thought it was a great idea! The worst thing this country needs is a lot of lies and disinformation about what is truly in the health care bill. So I diligently fired off an email reporting the biggest source of disinformation out there:

1. If it is disinformation, why do they want to track it? I could take an hour on prime time tv (all networks and stations) to explain to everyone that the ocean is really made of cottage cheese. If someone were to believe it, does it matter? It’s not true anyway. No one who knows better is going to care who does or does not believe in the cheese. Seems to me that they only need to get some proof that the other information is wrong, not track all the wrong information.
2. Aren’t chain emails and casual conversation how this administration got elected?

4. Who exactly will be tracking these claims? I know I am paying the person/people already, could I at least know who my money is going to?

Why does the WH need our help? Could it possibly be that the Air Force won’t give up the goods on private citizens so the WH has to get loyal true believers to become their internet SS? Nearly Losing His Finger
When he was a senior in high school, he sliced his finger while working at Arby’s. But instead of seeking medical attention, he decided to celebrate prom night by swimming in Lake Michigan. The bone and blood infection that resulted was so severe it practically killed him. Apparently, you are concerned about the information (’disinformation’ in your words) being disseminated on-line, over water coolers, and at kitchen tables nation-wide. In the interest of doing my patriotic duty, I have decided to come to you directly with my concerns and understanding of the current health care debate. As I am sure that you are still busy putting up signs announcing shovel-ready projects, redistributing the wealth of producers to the generally lazy re-producers, and apologizing to foreign allies and enemies alike, I will keep this mercifully short and simply point out the five biggest issues that seem to stick in the craw of most thinking Americans.
1) Your numbers are wrong. That is it, plain and simple. The 47 million uninsured about whom you speak is misleading at best and deceptive at worst. In either event, the number is wrong. According to an August 2008 report — the most current information released — issued by the U.S. Census Bureau entitled “Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States:2007′, the number without health insurance in this country was 45.65 million people. A CNSNews report (http://www.cnsnews.com/Public/Content/article.aspx?RsrcID=51443) revealed that the original 45 million plus figure included 9.73 million foreign-born non-citizens bringing the number of uninsured Americans down to 35.92 million. Of that number, 9.1 million people made more than $75,000 a year and chose not to pay for health insurance. Thus, the actual number of those uninsured is closer to a little less than 27 million. Hyper-inflation of figures is may serve to further your cause, but it does little to lend credibility to your claim.
2) We can’t afford it. Thus the only way to subsidize this program long-term is an increase of taxes. Currently, Social Security and Medicaid are operating at a deficit of around $45 trillion in unfunded promised support (http://www.heritage.org/Research/SocialSecurity/wm2458.cfm). If Congress passes any of the current Democrat-supported versions of “reform”, the Congressional Budget Office predicts that the current budget deficit will more than double should such a new entitlement program be instituted (http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/102xx/doc10297/06-25-LTBO.pdf). A 75 year cost estimate issued by the Joint Economic Committee (http://jec.senate.gov/republicans/public/_files/FinancingHealthCareExpansionwithSurtaxesonHighIncomesJuly302009.pdf) suggests that the current shortfall is closer to $9.2 trillion. You said no taxes would be necessary. Study after study, economist after economist, and even your own internal agencies say the same thing. Why do you refuse to believe it? Do you know something we don’t? Or do you not care? Those are both fair questions.
3) The Federal Government will become our de facto health care advisors. Recently, the President suggested that price alone does not equate to quality when he suggested that “If there’s a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half for the thing that’s going to make you well?” (http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/07/22/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5181448.shtml). Think of anytime you have bought the cheaper version of ANYthing. Granted sometimes you may have done alright. Perhaps the item was something wherein quality could be shelved in favor of convenience (think paper towels on the way to a romantic picnic). Perhaps, it was the result of bulk pricing (think a dozen rolls of paper towels on the way to a family picnic). In either case, the quality could be sacrificed. Do you feel that way about your health? During his East Room ABC-sponsored love fest town-hall, a young lady related the story of her mother who at the age of 100 was originally told she was too old for a pacemaker. Upon getting a second opinion, she received the operation and is currently happy and healthy at the age of 105. Obama offered this sage, and extremely telling, reply, “Maybe this isn’t going to help. Maybe you’re better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller” (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2009/06/26/). That pretty much sums up the government assessment. And, if you don’t think that age or pre-existing conditions will play a part in your ability to get the assistance you want or need to live as comfortably as you desire, think again. This from the party that, just a few years ago, ran ads of an illustrated George Bush pushing seniors in wheelchairs over a cliff. The irony is palpable.
4) You will have no choice. You really won’t. Think about this in basic terms. If you work at an establishment that currently provides you health insurance, and you decide to change to the program offered by the employer of your spouse, generally you can do that as long as you do so in the proper window. Section 102 of H.R. 3200 (America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009) reads as follows:
(a) Grandfathered Health Insurance Coverage Defined- Subject to the succeeding provisions of this section, for purposes of establishing acceptable coverage under this division, the term `grandfathered health insurance coverage’ means individual health insurance coverage that is offered and in force and effect before the first day of Y1 if the following conditions are met:
(1) LIMITATION ON NEW ENROLLMENT-
(A) IN GENERAL- Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day of Y1.
(B) DEPENDENT COVERAGE PERMITTED- Subparagraph (A) shall not affect the subsequent enrollment of a dependent of an individual who is covered as of such first day.
Basically that states that if you are currently covered, then you are “grandfathered” in. However, should you choose to change, then you will be forced into a government option. Some of the less scrupulous folks on the left keep trying to spread the word that you will still have a choice, but really, if the government has already selected your options, how much choice do you really have. Also, if you are a civil servant — teachers, police, fire, postal — you can almost count on losing your current provider in favor of the government plan. Moreover, if the government offers plans that cost less than what your employer is currently paying, why wouldn’t he or she choose to switch you to that? In essence, you have been leveraged into a program that you did not choose and might never have chosen.
5) Quality of life and care will suffer. How many times do you read or hear about Americans fleeing to Canada or Great Britain for treatment? Right. In Britain, millions wait for an appointment while dentists are mandated to go on vacation having already reached their allotted work quota (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article3646522.ece). In Canada, family pets stand a better chance at timely treatment than do their owners. (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/26/international/americas/26canada.html). When the free market, and consequently its competition element, are factored out of any equation, so is the desire to perform. Like the dentists forced out on holiday, the drug-makers, helpers, and healers, will be regulated into a non-competitive coma wherein the person becomes just a number. And if your number is too high, well then your number may just be up.
I hope I have made your job of tracking me down a bit easier. I know it is unfair to expect you alone to keep tabs on the entire disgruntled 46% that saw this coming. Moreover, I hope this has made it easier for you to understand your own program. Apparently, up till now, you have had a hard time wrapping your head around the fundamentals of this program – your own words indicate that. Maybe in your haste to push through this legislation you simply overlooked these basic facts. Maybe you simply ignored them. In either case, it is obvious that you realize time is not on your side. And not unlike the poor kidney patient in England who will have to wait years for a transplant (http://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/ukt/statistics/centre-specific_reports/tables_by_centre/container.jsp?page=waitingtime), you probably understand that – for your purposes at least – the sooner the better.

So I was surfing some articles on the internet and somehow was directed to a page called crooksandliars.com. Well, I was interested in what they had to say, so they were critizing the so-called staged town halls, lamenting how conservatives are being organized simply to disrupt these town halls and how un-American it is and how it is prohibiting free speech of the congressmen/women and others at the meetings.
Well, I couldn’t resist, I posted a link to Michelle Malkin’s page that had several clips of ACORN members invading peoples homes, left-wing protesters charging the stage at college campuses to inhibit the free speech of the conservative guest speakers (David Horowitz being one of them). And guess what? THEY BANNED ME FROM THEIR WEBSITE! Simply because I showed them something they didn’t want to see. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO FREE SPEECH IN THIS COUNTRY? THIS IS A VERY SCARY TIME!!!!
People, we all need to be aware, this is such a scary time. I was looking at CNN.com news and saw the headline “Democrats say Republicans Staging Town Hall Protests.” Well, there was a link at the right which said “50 Percent Back Obama Health Plan, Poll Says.” Well, I started reading that article thinking, hmm, have I missed something? Most other polls I have seen say something much different than that. So I started reading the article and came upon the link to the Poll Results, so when I clicked there, the first thing that the poll results says is “including an oversampling of African-Americans.” This poll is then cited in the article as making it seem that 50% of all Americans support the health plan when really these poll results are slanted in the president’s favor. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH CNN?
I would place the link to the article but I am afraid of being banned like I was on Crooksandliars.com.

Well, I wrote an email to CNN chastising them for their blatant misrepresentation of the facts. So I just went back to the CNN.com website looking for the article “Democrats say Republicans Staging Town Hall Protests,” and guess what? They removed the article from the opening page. When I looked through the archives I found the article all right, but they completely rewrote the sections dealing with the 50% poll. Guess we better keep on these news guys and help them do their jobs!
The best way to help make this “fishy” initiative succeed is to send in everything you feel is “fishy”…starting with anything that comes out of a lib’s mouth.

Last month, she found out that her lung cancer, which had been in remission for about two years, had come back. After her oncologist prescribed a cancer drug that could slow the cancer growth and extend her life, Wagner was notified that the Oregon Health Plan wouldn’t cover the treatment, but that it would cover palliative, or comfort, care, including, if she chose, doctor-assisted suicide.
The plan she pays her taxes for told her that they would not treat her, but they would kill her. I thought they cared about the taxes she paid, or the votes she cast. Sorry. They care about the bottom line. See, this plan was designed to ration health care.
When the Oregon Health Plan was established in 1994, it was expressly intended to ration health care. A prioritization list was drawn up, with diagnoses and ailments deemed most important — pregnancy, childbirth, preventive care for children — placed at the top of the list. At the bottom are procedures such as cosmetic surgery, which would not be covered.
“We can’t cover everything for everyone,” said Dr. Walter Shaffer, medical director of the state Division of Medical Assistance Programs, which administers the Oregon Health Plan.
“Taxpayer dollars are limited for publicly funded programs. We try to come up with polices that provide the most good for the most people.”
The advocates for government run health care never talk about this side of the subject. They never talk about government bureaucrats sitting in an office somewhere, deciding who lives and who dies, deciding who gets treatment that will save their life and who gets the death penalty.
What they tell you about is the evil corporations and Big Pharma. Well, when the system failed Barbara, it was the evil corporations who came to her rescue:

They will try to fix the problem by taking more of our property via taxes, but there will never be enough. Dr. Walter Shaffer is correct. They “can’t cover everything for everyone.” But the free market can. And there lies the solution.
But it requires government to do something it rarely does: remove itself.

The correspondent reported that only one of the eleven democratic committee members was willing to sign the bill. He said that they said that their refusal was do to the governments intent to create a non-competitive healthcare market [translation, a nation wide single payer system]. Media savvy people could you find out the intricacies of this report and expand on the comment that the correspondent made? I heard this report on the stock channel with a panel consisting of Kudlow and two female market analysts, just before the Power Lunch panel.
