btw… baseball players work hard all their lives to succeed at their sport, and through their ability to entertain us, they indirectly provide jobs to all the sponsor companies, t.v. stations, equipment makers, grounds crews, security, the city etc. all while spending long periods away from home and family. Moreover, with their money they donate to charities, buy goods and services, and invest in companies. Capitalism is a beautiful thing if the left can get their minds around the big picture, stop stirring up envy and strife among us, and stop penalizing success and ambition. It boggles the mind why they just don’t get it. There’s not a limited pot of gold which causes the poor to get poorer when the rich get richer. Economics doesn’t work like that.
sorry, one more thought … here are a few things that cause the poor to get poorer…
1) stifling job creation by overly taxing job creators
2) rising minimum wages that inevitably lead to layoffs
3) unreasonable demands by unions
4) devaluing the dollar through inflation,
5) Burdensome taxes which lead people to hide their earnings “under-the-table,” or outside the country
6) Hiring ILLEGAL immigrants who don’t pay taxes, and take otherwise available jobs for the poor
7) Politicians spending our money on wasteful projects, pork, social programs etc. when the private sector could more efficiently handle the same issues
Multiplying government employees who get paid through our taxes, and usually don’t produce anything except bigger government (a vicious circle)
Reagan summed up well the liberal mentality: “If it moves, tax it. If it still moves, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it.”

Why the sudden turn around by Obama from just a few weeks ago and now his apparent blessing on these extraordinarily high banker bonuses? Why else.. Obama is simply trying to reposition himself (called political posturing) to what he hopes will help him get reelected in 2012 – period. Political expediency necessitates going against his own political philosophy and Marxist views and in so doing he is trying to save his butt in 2012 and also his fellow liberal Democrat’s butts in 2010, if possible. Wall Street was one of the entities that got Barack Obama elected into the White House but having since taken office and over the course of the last year of him being in office they see him as very anti-business and very much against the private sector. Wall Street big wigs are shunning Obama’s anti-business tactics in droves so naturally Obama is conveniently changing his ‘views’ and his political ’stance’ and is trying to get Wall Street executives and the entirety of Wall Street itself back on his side if he can. Although, he’s not doing it because he actually likes “free enterprise” or the “free market” per se; or that he even likes Wall Street executives and/or big bankers either in my opinion. He’s simply doing it to try and save his political backside in 2012, and the backsides (butts) of his fellow liberal Demagogues in the upcoming Senatorial and House of Representative elections in 2010 if at all possible too. But you can mark my words, if Obama were to happen to get reelected in 2012 you better believe he will then immediately resume his anti free market, anti capitalism, anti free enterprise, anti Wall Street ways afterwards. Hopefully the American people will see through his guise (amongst his other atrocities and incompetency since taking office) and vote his butt out of office come November 6th, 2012. Eight years of Obamanism would do irrevocable harm and damage to not only America’s standing in the eyes of the world but harm and damage to American citizens (which we’re already seeing) as well as America itself in my opinion. I don’t care if Obama were purple or bright orange either. Let us not judge a person by the color of his skin or hold prejudices accordingly – let us instead judge a person by the ‘content’ of his ‘character’ – and his life accomplishments?? If our Commander in Chief doesn’t know how to lead our Country (which is rather expected I suppose since the guy never ran anything in his life prior to becoming our purported president), or knows how to get Americans back to work or America back on its feet financially and back on the road to prosperity, and all the while he and his administration plays footsies with our enemies and the war on terror, and at the same time is against capitalism and free enterprise (unless politically expedient) and by all accounts a Socialist/Marxist to the “bone” (unless politically convenient) then how could America not see through his apparent ruse and throw the turkey out during the next election cycle?? Like I said, I’m hoping America will indeed SEE through the chicanery and will indeed kick him out of office come November 2012. If not, America may never recover from the potential destruction and havoc Obama and his cronies leave behind in their fiscally (and morally) reckless and irresponsible wake. My 2¢..

Over and over, we were told by the MSM that Obama had proven leadership skills because he was able to put together a winning Presidential campaign. Never mind the fact that he had never reached a leadership position in the Illinois State Senate. Never mind the fact that he had not obtained a leadership position in the U.S. Senate. His skill in organizing riff-raff in the slums of Chicago in a couple of asbestos abatement matters was supposed to be enough, I guess, to impress the people that equate voting for the POTUS with voting for their favorite on American Idol. In reality, it was a content free campaign of smoke and mirrors. It was a campaign that completely failed to lay a foundation for governing. Obama never made it clear what he was for or against. He allowed the voters to fill in the blank with whatever their imagination might dictate. The result is that the reality could not match expectations.
It is not a sign of great leadership potential to run a flim flam campaign.
But, let’s give a fair share of the blame to American journalism, as well. We know from actual evidence that our children lag the developed world in mathematics and science. The fact that our journalism schools can not produce journalists who know the difference between a compelling argument and mere group think should cause us to conclude that our children are far behind the rest of the developed world in social reasoning skills and critical analysis, as well. Journalists were mere cheerleaders for the flim flam presidential campaign of Obama. America is not only falling behind in educating future scientists and engineers, we are also falling behind in the analytical skills necessary to sustain a democracy.
As for Obama, what is the VERY BEST thing he can do for the next three years? How about getting around to keeping the promises he gave to the poor black and minority Americans that bought into his Flim-Flam campaign. What has he done for the common people that supported him and praised him during his bid for President of the United States? NOTHING….the answer is NOTHING!! If any Liberal, Leftist, Marxist, Communist, Progressive can tell me what he has done for the PEOPLE that elected him and supported and praised him, I am ready and waiting to hear it. And don’t blame the Republicans…..you Democrats could have passed ANYTHING you wanted to.
