Obama Defends: Interactions with Chavez Don’t Show Signs of Weakness

The Hill: But Obama defended his handshakes and brief chats with Chavez when asked about the notion pushed by Obama's opponents during the campaign that his willingness to talk to enemies of the U.S. was a "sign of weakness." "The American people didn't buy it. And there's a reason that the American people didn't buy it. Because it doesn't make sense."

Of course, Saul Alinsky Obama, is going to defend his own actions…even though he is playing a dangerous game of diplomacy with the enemy.

Chavez is a baffoon dictator…a dictator that is squashing the free speech of his people…a dictator that took away the term limits of the President to meet his own pathetic quest for power…sound familiar…America?

I have read many posts from others about how America, in the past, has interferred in the politics of the rest of the Americas.

They are right on many fronts and wrong on others. But to start getting in bed with our enemies at this time in our history…is just wrong…and two wrongs don’t make a right!

JUST ANOTHER PATHETIC DAY IN THE “REIGN OF BARRY HUSSEIN” AND THE DANGER DIPLOMACY HE CONSIDERS JUST ANOTHER “CHANGE”!

Swallaby   April 19th, 2009 - 5:10 pm

The Sirens Blaring in the background are not coincidental…

Nate   April 19th, 2009 - 5:31 pm

This is asinine. If you watched the video, Chavez just walked up to him at the conference, shook his hand and gave him a book. There’s nothing dangerous about being cordial. Venezuela is a major trading partner with the US, ignoring his approach or being rude would actually be dangerous.

Nothing is gained by ignoring Venezuela. Nothing is harmed by being polite to a world leader.

Far Right Wing Wacko   April 19th, 2009 - 5:47 pm

Well Breitbarf,… Once again, there goes your hate filled website spinning the facts in order to suit you ideological neanderthals, and continuing to belittle you all even more. It’s no damned wonder you, your party, and all you stand for, have become the laughing stock of this country and the world!

Hell Andy, even your own website has become so desperate over the past 6 months it’s amazingly mind boggling! It used to be you could come on this site and have an actual intellectual debate. But not any longer! All the intellects have left (not that there were that many here anyway) and now there’s nothing more than a couple of bitter old know nothings that rant and rave because the rest of this country saw right through the ideological BS!

You morons lost period! You lost in 2000 and had to have the heavily far right bloated (but soon to change) Supreme Court side with you (even though you lost the pop vote) And you BARELY won in 2004 by paying off a bunch of college kids in Ohio with free beer & pizza! This time you all got so thoroughly thrashed it was flat out embarrassing for you. And by a fairly obscure half Black man at that to boot! Too funny!

I actually laughed my butt off as I watched all of the FOX Noise wannabe reporters crying and wiping away their tears along with that piece of dirt Karl Rove while Obama was being announced the overwhelming victor!

I can assure you another overwhelming thrashing the next go around as well. The voters are becoming much younger, more politically involved, more educated, more tolerant, far less ideological, and not at all associated with the far right what so ever! Looks pretty gloomy for you all again. And Gingrich? GIVE ME A FREAK’N BREAK! Now THAT’S a real laugher!

I’ll say it again, it’s really laughable watching all you redneck toothless Rethugs twist and turn in the wind. You all have absolutely no direction and no center. It’s like watching rats swimming away from the Titanic. You just can’t accept that your party lost the election and apparently the concept of majority rule means nothing to you. Some Republicans are starting to get the fact that they’ve become completely irrelevant and that they must do something to try to get some cohesion back but then they come up against the likes of Palin, Limbaugh, Coulter and the teabaggers (grin). These people are all are making a laughing stock of the Republican party, they’re just too arrogant and ignorant (and always have been) to realize it.

And the Far Right Rethuglican’t Comedy Parade Continues…

Like all liberals he’s a sissy. Definitely not from the streets of Chicago like he claims. More like the halls of an ivy league instition full of poin dexters. Look at his face… He’s shook. Should have laid off the cocaine and cigerettes back when he was younger. At least Bush had balls. This guy does not represent America, well the better half at least.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   April 19th, 2009 - 6:41 pm

Dear Far Right Wing Wacko…glad to see that you are enjoying the show!

I think it is actually pathetic that what is happening in America is funny to you!

But then…that is just how I look at things…cautiously…and in perspective!

JUST ANOTHER PATHETIC DAY IN THE “REIGN OF BARRY HUSSEIN” AND HIS WORSHIPPERS WHO JUST LOVE A GREAT LAUGH AT THE EXPENSE OF OUR LIBERTIES, OUR FREEDOMS AND OUR SOVEREIGNTY!

El Capitan   April 19th, 2009 - 6:43 pm

It’s not just about US interests BO. You are legitimizing a tyrant who is killing and imprisoning its own citizens and creating chaos in the region. Can you really not think outside the box or do you think all Americans care about is themselves?

HWP   April 19th, 2009 - 6:53 pm

Nate,,,your the whacko. You need to pay more attention to the news, so you’ll know what your talking about. The “book” handhsake deal was the second encounter BO had with Chavez. The first encounter (the day before, when BO arrived) you’d think Bo was going to bow down to Chavez like he did with that Saudi King…Unbelievable display of cowardness!!!

HWP   April 19th, 2009 - 6:56 pm

We all know Barry is a “YES” man…now we” just add A$$ Kisser to the growing cowardly list.

Observer   April 19th, 2009 - 7:13 pm

He makes the bold statement that in the election the American people rejected this and that in connection with foreign policy.

Well I think that’s hogwash, For the most part Obama’s constituency elected him to pay the mortgage, pay the rent and put gas in the car. We all heard them say it. And those voters, looking for a free ride, wouldn’t recognize foreign policy if it stepped up and grabbed them by the you know whats.

So for him to obliquely claim that he has a mandate for bowing down and playing kissy face with tin pot murdering dictators who hate the United States and everything it represents, is simply another outrageous lie from a moronic pathetic man.

Chavez grossly insulted the United States by giving Obama that and he thanked him for it.

Everywhere this man goes, he’s a laughingstock and by the glum look on him, he knows it.

Lock and Load   April 19th, 2009 - 8:09 pm

Barry is a chicken and makes himself look like the total leftie a$$kisser that he is..

I see Far Right Wing Handjob has learned to cut and paste way to go I bet you mom Mary Fat is Soooooo proud of her little brain dead little, tea bagging perv. hahaha!!!

dr jay   April 19th, 2009 - 8:31 pm

i love it, be kind and cordial to a murdering hateful anti-US pinko. it would take a lot for me to not pull out mt buck knife and gut the man on the spot. but this is exactly what you would expect from a man who nearly had the somali hostage killed due to his repeated inaction(the only reason that man lived was the naval ship’s captain skirting the rules laid down by barry the puss ball.
BO hates this country nearly as much as chavez, thats why the anti-US folks love him and our allies refer to him as inexperienced and poorly briefed.

JANDJ   April 19th, 2009 - 9:13 pm

SURE HE DEFENDED IT BUT LOOK AT HIM THATS ONE OF HIS BEST BUDDIES SINCE REV WRIGHT WANT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIM

Morse   April 19th, 2009 - 9:13 pm

I sure hope Barry,s “ghetto politics” work.

Azul Del Fuego   April 19th, 2009 - 9:59 pm

Obama, please show some strength. Our forefathers didn’t craft this wonderful constitution so that in one short term someone could turn us into a 3rd world country.
Liek many of us said during the campaign “this guy Obama has no experience”. And he’s proven us right. He doesn’t know how to take action or make decisions because he’s never had to.

dr jay   April 19th, 2009 - 11:26 pm

i am referring to chavez in the above post when i mention harming the man on the spot. but then, angel falls, caracas, and the lost world are not on my bucket list. just clarifying for those of you in conspiracy ville.

GiveMeLiberty   April 20th, 2009 - 12:10 am

A former Clinton advisor, who spent two years researching a book about Chavez, said the handshake and gift of the book was certainly already orchestrated before it was broadcast on camera. This was no spur of the moment idea from Chavez, i.e. Nobama knew he was going to walk over to him and give him a book which bashes America and blames us for ALL the bad things that have EVER happened to ANYONE IN THE WORLD!! I’m positive Nobama felt in his element with these socialist dictators and probably asked for any ideas which might help him move our country along in that direction. It’s frightening to see how may dictators who oppress their own people year after year our mighty POTUS has met in his first 100 days. I’m afraid the worst is yet to come!

Larse   April 20th, 2009 - 12:33 am

Hahahahahhahhaa!!

Bart “forgot” to take up Rush’s BIG slap to McCain:

‘Limbaugh: Torture Works Because McCain Admitted He Was ‘Broken By The North Vietnamese’

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/18/limbaugh-torture-works-be_n_188633.html

Bart is super selective now to push whatever…

A very busy day though… But Bart is getting all lost…

Far Right Wing Wacko   April 20th, 2009 - 1:11 am

I just realized, as I am sure anyone who read my last rant, that I am accusing Andy’s website of being desperate over the last six months. I sure got a lot of mileage out of this…..and then I realized, all Breitbart did was post a video of Obama….see how angry I get? I even accuse Republicans and Breitbart when my Obama makes a dumb2$$ move. Logical isn’t it? Liberals like me are intellectual butt-hole surfers..

Observer   April 20th, 2009 - 1:15 am

Far Right Wing Wacko (FRWW) claims he laughed his “butt” off when Obama won the election.

He must be mistake because that would mean, if he laughed it off, that his “butt” is now gone, dropped off, laying dormant somewhere. And that’s clearly nonsense.

All who visits this website know that every thought FRWW has comes from his “butt.” He simply couldn’t have laughed it off last November, he still uses it to write to us.

Laffing at Leftists   April 20th, 2009 - 2:33 am

Hey (L)Arse did you get done tea bagging your BFF (FRWW) long enough to make an appearance before you go over to Mary Fat and shave her back?

You must be living large (like the fata$$ that you are) getting all that free ACORN money, from pimping yourself out as a male (w)hore, and tea bagging the horses (L)Arse..

Don’t make too much money because Barry will take it from you just like he’s going to take it from us. Putz…..

Sundowner   April 20th, 2009 - 7:20 am

lol Well it’s finally good to see the source of most all of Larse’s intellectual input, that being the HuffPo. No wonder he’s such a mess. What’s also funny is how the most rabid liberals in the country follow two former republicans that learned how to bilk the intellectually challenged of their savings and beliefs, i.e., Arianna and Ed Schultz. lol It’s a good thing more republicans don’t succumb to the easy road to making a buck or we’d all have our very own personal liberal hater. lol

“Did you disparage Bush again today, boy? Good boy, here’s a cookie…”

kmichaels   April 20th, 2009 - 10:20 am

Barry is saying he barely new Chavez and that he just was some guy living in his neighborhood. God, what a damned moron that hopey dopey carter 2 is.

kmichaels   April 20th, 2009 - 11:33 am

Just when you think that Hopey Dopey empty suit Obama cant possibly get more stupid than he has already been he proves you wrong and does and says something vastly more stupid than before. And then to have the losers of America kiss his larse whenever he displays his stupidity is just icing on the stupidity cake.

Sean R.   April 20th, 2009 - 1:39 pm

Yeah Far Right Wing Wacko, keep sitting there infront of your computer and denying the fact that Hugo Chavez nationalized the banks in Venezula (BTW, Bush did the samething to last summer when he was bailout his pals on Wall Street), nationalized the media and press in his country so that noone in the media in Venezula can be critical on him. Let me ask you a question FRWW (it should be “Far Left Wing Wacko”), will it be ok to you if your JUCO Professor man (Obama) one day says that “Ladies and Gentlemen of America, I, President Obama will nationalize and take over the media, so they’ll be peace across America”, if he says something like that FRWW, I bet you’ll have two pom-poms in your hands and celebrate the fact that fascism has emerged in this country. Far Right Wing Wacko, I think you clearly deserve to live under a dictatorship, because your nothing but a Obama-worshipper, and I can’t stand people who worships other people!

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!!!
