Thinking back to my younger years, especially while in college, I know I bought the whole “save the environment” plan. The idea sounded so great, litter and the suspected “pollution” was so terrible and I really liked wildlife and all the birds, such that it’s easy to conclude that it’s all man’s fault that these things are despoiled, so, hey, support the enviroment!

Years later, after signing up with various so-called environmental groups, I was suggested by a wiser and more mature person to investigate just who it was that these groups were and what they were involved in. What I found after doing so was eye-opening, to put it mildly: all of them, pro-Communist, pro-radical upheaval of the U.S. Capitalist economy, all of them quite intent on government controls of just about everything (anti-individual, in other words).

These groups fool the public (but especially youth) with these ploys of “being about the environment” when what they are about is communism. None of the “big” environmental groups is apart from that — look into them if you wonder and realize how they are funded and what they promote and why, look under the surface, don’t be misled just because you may want an end to litter and more pretty wildlife away from crowds.

U.S. universities should seriously rethink, re-examine their admissions to some individuals, when they’re admitted not based upon academics and character but upon some Socialized notion that “underserved populations” just have to be admitted regardless (which is a process of Social Justice, by the way, Marxism).

MADISON – U.S. Rep. Paul Broun is again raising the specter of Democrats turning the United States into a totalitarian state.

Broun, R-Athens, apparently has not changed his belief that President Obama may be a fascist since he made similar remarks in Augusta in November and then in an Associated Press interview.

He told a meeting of the Morgan County Republicans on Wednesday night that Obama already has or will have the three things he needs to make himself a dictator: a national police force, gun control and control over the press.

“He has the three things that are necessary to establish an authoritarian government,” Broun said. “And so we need to be ever-vigilant, because freedom is precious.”

As he did when comparing Obama to Hitler and the Soviets last year, Broun cited a speech Obama gave in Colorado during the campaign last July calling for “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the military.

In the speech, Obama called young Americans to serve both at home and abroad, and said he would expand the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps and other volunteer opportunities. Broun, however, said Obama was referring to a national police force.

“‘The liberals say, ‘What is wrong with Americorps?’ ” Broun said. “Well, this is not Americorps.”

Broun also said he thinks the national media is openly supporting Obama’s policies. He also said he believes the president and Attorney General Eric Holder will enact new gun-control policies.

Holder said in February that he wants to renew a Clinton-era ban on assault weapons, but Obama said in April that he is putting the issue on the back burner.

Broun also cited the dozens of so-called “czars” Obama has appointed to oversee areas like the troubled car industry as evidence that he is overstepping his bounds to seek power.

“They’re developing a shadow government that (does not) answer to the American people,” Broun said.

At a town hall meeting in Clarkesville last month, Broun called Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid a “socialistic elite” and agreed with a constituent who said they might use a flu pandemic to declare martial law.

“They’re trying to develop an environment where they can take over,” Broun said. “We’ve seen that historically.”

More than 1,000 people combined turned out to hear Broun speak mostly on the topic of health care at town hall meetings Wednesday in Madison and Greene County.

About 300 attended the Madison meeting. At Lake Oconee, the audience filled three 300-seat movie theaters, where Broun spoke on the invitation of three local doctors who have been giving presentations on Democrats’ proposals for health care reform, said Bob Cowles, one of the organizers. Broun spoke live in one theater, while crowds in the other two listened in over a closed circuit.

Health care reform also is about Democrats seeking more power, Broun said.

“It gives them more power, more control over your life,” he said.

Health care is too expensive, he said, and he attributed the cost to government regulations like HIPPA, a 1996 patient privacy and insurance portability law. Rather than create a government-run insurance program to compete with private insurers, the current system’s framework should be kept, but with changes like expanded tax-free health savings accounts, more tax credits for medical expenses and tax breaks for doctors who provide charity care, Broun said.

“Just like (when) you have a dog with fleas, you don’t kill the dog, you put on a flea collar,” he said.

Broun has scheduled another town hall meeting for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Oconee County Civic Center.

Obama and the Czars

President Barack Hussein Obama said he wants to transform America. I ask, “Into what?” “Amerika!”

He has appointed a number of radical “Czars” as his advisors. “Green Jobs” czar, Van Jones stated he was “radicalized in jail,” and admits to being a “Communist”, and a “rowdy black nationalist.”

The “science czar,” John Holdren is for sterilization and abortion for population control, and wrote, “Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.”

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the “health policy” czar blames the Hippocratic oath for the overuse of medical care, and that doctors need to serve two masters “the patient and society.” He stated, “Medical students should be trained to provide socially sustainable, cost-effective care.” One sign of progress he sees: “the progression in the end-of-life care mentality from do everything to a more palliative care shows that change in physician norms and practices is possible.” “Treating 65 year olds differently because of stereotypes or falsehoods would be ageist: treating them differently because they have more life-years is not.” Could this be construed as the “Death Panel?”

Legal adviser Harold Koh stated, “Judges should interpret the Constitution according to other nations’ legal “norms.” Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts. The United States constitutes an “axis of disobedience” along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq.”

“Diversity” czar, Mark Lloyd on the First Amendment stated, “It should be clear by now that my focus here is not freedom of speech or the press…This freedom is all too often an exaggeration…At the very least, blind references to freedom of speech or the press serve as a distraction from the critical examination of other communications policies.” He apparently will decide what is acceptable over the airwaves, and fine the stations 100% of the operating budget if he deems the content not “diverse” enough. Sounds like the “Fairness Doctrine” repackaged, and it’s meant to stifle conservative speech. They believe in free speech as long as you’re saying what they believe and want to hear.

Obama stated he was going to have the most transparent administration ever, and because these are just some of his “radical” advisers and some of their views I have the following questions for him:

What are they being paid?

How much influence do the czars have, and on who?

How much power do they have?

Who do they answer to?

How were they selected?

Who selected them?

Why were they selected?

President Obama, now that you know of their radical views, are you going to keep them on as advisors?

I cannot believe the fear-mongering and racism I am reading in these posts. Did anyone actually listen to what Van Jones was saying? He was simply saying that much like the civil rights movement, the green movement will grow in short steps instead of all at once so that people will feel more comfortable with it. He made no mention of anything remotely communist or socialist. The real people who are ruining this country are the ones who refuse to listen to reason and educate themselves on the issues so they can make their informed and reasonable voices heard.

The Attainment of Success in a Free Society V.S. Socialist Society

As a slave, what ends can be met? In shackled cuffs, what race can I win? How sweet is the water in the oceans of the sea? These are the questions that echo throughout freedom’s heart, questions she desires to be filled. Questions that perhaps may never be answered, but in my soul, they will forever burn. What is so strong about freedom’s heart, so pure that even a child can conceive, so hated that men wish to take away? Be it a thought, even in the mind, or materialistic values and opportunity that are envied and guarded so heavily. Who can understand these desires?
Webster dictionary summarizes success as “the degree or measure of, and favorable or desired outcome of the attainment of wealth, favor, or eminence.” As a human, we all have the unique ability to think and pursue our ideas. Why is the idea of freedom so hard to accomplish? In Restoring the American Dream, a book by Robert Ringer, He says that it is sad that America is the freest nation in the world, yet we are still not free. These words come back to me now, 3 years later, as I am sadly writing this essay, hoping to persuade the bricks in the street, or even the dirt under my feet, that freedom is and will forever be freedom and was and has always been free. Yet, I don’t think it is nature, nor elements that have difficulty in understanding this. I strongly believe that it is purely impossible to attain success in a socialist society, directly due to the lack of freedom.
Some people go through life with a nonchalant attitude, not caring about the important things; not caring about goals, family, others, or even where they came from. By manifesting a negative energy in reference to these things, it is possible to remain selfish, trapped in a universe which revolves only around their personal ambitions that only they can benefit from. It is this attitude which continually stifles the global human consciousness’ and civilization’s growth. It is this negativity which collectively promotes suffering, greed, and violence. In a free society, humankind has the opportunity to pursue their personal lives as they see fit. Each has the personal choice of how to carry out their lives or how to behave. They have the opportunity to work in the field of their choice, raise their offspring, prosper, and seek personal endeavors such as hobbies or religion. The main thing that those like myself desire to live in a free society for, is the opportunity to make what you can out of life through hard work, regardless of your background or class. These opportunities are only conceivable in the fullest essence and possible to achieve in a free society.
See, this is the problem: most people are brainwashed into thinking that they need a “system to serve the people.” This is an insult to human intelligence; to imply that people cannot serve themselves, or others, without some type of “divine intervention,”(also known as the government). When will people realize that they are connecting the wrong functions with the wrong equations?
In a socialist society, individual freedoms are taken away and the controls over these freedoms are given to the government. This is a society in which is supposedly “classless,” yet those in superior positions will be superior to common workers. To oppose what the government has in its agenda, citizens are arrested and treated as if criminals. Citizens under these harsh circumstances are forced to remain silent, mostly due to fear of being killed or imprisoned. The means of production are shared and freedoms such as the freedom of speech are taken away. The big idea is that people work together for the common good of the people. It promotes to take away individuality and force humans to work for others. In doing this, it directly takes away the possibilities of success. This type of society assumes every citizen “equal” in their possessions. Although I cannot deny the benefits of a socialist society, such as less starvation, I must conclude that this is not the only way to achieve this, by the redistribution of wealth.
In a free society there is an abundance of entrepreneurship due to the lack of government intervention. When a government takes the role of parenting the economic system, it moves farther from its original purpose, which is mainly to protect the citizens therein, and closer to a restrictive enslavement of citizens within that country or state. To understand how a citizen can be indirectly enslaved, you must first understand what it means to be a slave. When hearing this word, many are reminded of the most recent form of literal slavery of the Africans in the United States, who were made into human property and bought and sold as cattle. It is hard for some to conceive slavery in different circumstances, which does not directly include the use of shackles and whips, such as then. The basics of slavery simply consist of an individual that is forced to work and someone who has control over that individual’s life
What is the purpose of a society to merely live in and enjoy life, but to not pursue anything of importance to oneself, to not pass on a legacy, or to completely lack individuality? How alike can the government induce one another into being? When a child is born, that child has certain human rights; I believe that everyone should be entitled to. The uniqueness of this singular biological creation is encoded through DNA with specific personality traits that will guide that child throughout their life. During the course of that child’s life, any restrictions that violates their human rights is a direct violation of their freedom.
This is what socialism fails to achieve: an acknowledgement that humans have rights and that they are born free. Regardless of the economic state or class a child may be born into, or even what type of government it may be; forcing anyone to do anything, regardless of how much it may benefit another is stealing away from their individual rights. One particular right that I personally identify strongly with is the right to prosper and multiply. In other words, I am a strong advocate for the right to strive for unrelenting success. To understand where it comes from, we must first understand what it is. Therein, to understand what it is, we must understand how it began, the root of success purely being the human nature to provide satisfactorily for oneself and one’s family. It is this cycle of continuation that gradually pushes civilization towards its’ destiny; through the separate successes of individuals within that society.
Government is purposed for protecting the freedoms of citizens, and equality is not a freedom, but equal opportunity is. People who seek equality are blinded. Some people will strive hard in life to be, while others will sit back and complain about life or accept the bare minimum and be satisfied (speaking of U.S. society). In an “equal” society, it is impossible to prosper. I suppose every time you are successful, your profits will be taken and redistributed among the population. My prediction is that many will become lazy and live off the work of others through redistribution of wealth. which could only lead to slavery by forcing everyone to work. leading to a pretty pointless life where you couldn’t make anything of yourself. I exaggerated a lot but the truth is, if i work hard to earn my money, it should be my choice to share it.
I certainly do hope one day to see the children of Darfur, clothed fittingly and well fed, running and laughing about, or to see China recognize and respect their citizen’s human rights. How long will it take repeated attempts for socialist governments to fail, before human logic is realized, that there is no other way to respect our fellow humankind, other than to give freedom from uninvited government intervention into our personal lives. Without law there is no freedom, true, but without limitations of law, there is no peace.

I Pledge to that I will not rest until Van Jones and every communist in America is in a Maximum Security prison for the remainder of their life.

The Obama administration is young and out of touch.

At a speech in Colorado someone asked if I was concerned about some of the appointees to the Obama administration. The questioner was referring obliquely to conservative dismay at Van Jones, special adviser for green jobs on the White House environmental council. Apart from a flirtation with radicalism (you have to hope it did not become a full, deep and continuing relationship), Jones, in February, thoughtfully attempted to capture the essence of the GOP in a speech in Berkeley, Calif. “Republicans are —,” he explained. We don’t print the word he used, but it refers to a body part involved in elimination. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Rahm Emanuel Center for the Study of Political Comportment. Ha, just kidding.

But Mr. Jones is not my concern. All early administrations draw to their middle and lower levels a certain number of activists from the edges—flakes. But because they are extreme, they become controversial, and because they are controversial, they become ineffective. In its way the system works.

A greater concern about President Obama’s staffers and appointees is that so many of them are so young and relatively untried. And not only young and untried, but triumphant. They’re on top of the world. They came from nowhere and elected their guy against the odds. Against expectations, they beat a machine (the Clintons) and a behemoth (long-triumphant Republicanism). Now nothing can stop them, Let’s do big things, let’s be consequential. Consequentialism has been the blight of America’s political life for a decade. Because of it, America’s nerves have been rubbed raw.

To make things worse, for the past 10 months Mr. Obama’s aides have been overpraised by their friends in the media, who either are on their side or were source-greasing. How can you not return my calls when I called you “coruscatingly brilliant” in Time?

I use “coruscatingly brilliant” because it was what a columnist early on called Arthur Schlesinger Jr., a figure in John F. Kennedy’s White House and the focus of much, and deserved, praise. JFK saw it and laughed: “Just remember, a hundred thousand votes the other way and we’d all be coruscatingly stupid.” JFK was of course young himself, but he’d fought a war and been sick since childhood, which will tend to age you.

Why be concerned about the young in the White House? Because they’ve never been beaten up by life, never been defeated. They haven’t learned from failure because they haven’t experienced it. They don’t know what the warning signs of trouble are. They haven’t spent time on the losing side.

Mr. Obama’s young aides are hardworking, humorous and bright as pennies, but I wish they had an arthritic ache or two, I wish they told old war stories because they’d been in old wars, I wish they knew what it looks like when an administration goes too far and strains the ties between itself and the bulk of the people.

They are all now busy planning and strategizing his congressional address on health care. It will be hard to pull off well. The president will be talking, essentially, to three groups: the political elites of both parties and the media, his supporters on the ground, and highly informed citizens who are already either for or against the plan but want to hear, ponder and form an opinion on the speech.

But the great mass of Americans, the big center, will, I strongly suspect, not be listening. Mr. Obama has grown boring. And it’s not Solid Boring, which is fine in a president and may be good. It’s sort of Faux Eloquent Boring, especially on health care. The president likely doesn’t know this, and his people won’t have told him because they don’t know it either, but Mr. Obama always has the same sound, approach, logic, tone, modulation. He always has the same stance. There’s no humor or humility in it. News is surprise, and he never makes news.

The past 10 months, the president has lessened and not increased the trust of the big center. He did a number of things wrong, but one has not been noticed much, or noted. He moved too quickly, before he’d earned the right to change a big chunk of American life. You earn that right by establishing trust. Absent crisis, leaders have to show, over a certain amount of time and through a series of actions, that they’re sober, sound, farsighted, looking out for the middle. In addition, of course, middle America is worried about two dramas, the economy and war, and he’s showing he’s worried about a third drama, health care, which they’ve put to the side. His concerns do not coincide with theirs. Which makes him, not them, look out of touch.

He could always surprise everyone by saying he made a mistake and he’s going back to the drawing board to work hand in hand with Republicans. That would be interesting, and could be quite productive. But no one expects a climbdown at this point. And so he will go on, and win something, some piece of what he wants, and “Obama Wins Health Care Battle” will wind up in the headlines, and it will be a catastrophic victory, won at the price of losing the big center.

The president’s biggest potential long-term problem in terms of the public part of the presidency became obvious to me only during the past week.

I watched with great interest much of Teddy Kennedy’s wake and funeral, and saw in a clearer way than I had in the past a big cultural difference between the elites of the two parties, or rather the Democratic and Republican establishments. Pretty much the entire Democratic establishment was at the Kennedy services, and the level of shown affection among those in the pews and the audience was striking—laughing, hugging, telling stories, admitting weaknesses, weeping. It was Irish, and old-time. If it had been a gathering of the Republican political and journalistic establishment it would have been less emotive, with little shown affection. Polite laughter, cordial handshakes, a lot of staring ahead. A guy with his head down and you think he’s mourning but he’s BlackBerrying. They don’t especially like each other, they compete against each other, and they don’t feel the need to fake liking each other. They have the old dignity of the old grown-ups. And I suppose their style reflects some of their philosophy: Politics isn’t about emotions but thoughts.

The difference between the party establishments struck me, but is not my point. This is: The president walked into the funeral and moved toward the front pews nodding, shaking hands. He hugged Mrs. Kennedy, nodded some more, shook more hands. He was dignified and contained, he was utterly appropriate, and he was cold.

He is cold, like someone who is contained not because he’s disciplined and successfully restrains his emotions, but because there’s not that much to restrain. This is the dark side of cool. One wonders if this will play well with the American people. Long-term it is hard to get people to trust your policies if they think you’re coolly operating on some intellectual or ideological abstractions.

I don’t think as a presidential style it will wear well with the center. And it may not wear well with the president’s own party. They may come to see him, in time, as not really one of them. And that’s when things will really get interesting.

For Glenn Beck, and Fox News..They have done a great job getting this info out to us. Now Obama has put his man, Mark Lloyd the Diversity Czar or FCC Czar..Out to get Glenn Beck and Fox News. This Man Mark Lloyd is the same man that went after Nascar back in 2006..telling them they had to put more Black drivers in Nascar. He yelled and yelled Diversity Diversity.
They want to shut down anyone that disagrees with their point of few.
Mark Lloyd and Van Jones are communists and they are proud of it.If we don’t do something right now we will not have the good old USA.

The true spirit of America is Christian virtue. The idea of a citizenry possessing personal virtue (which had been generational) inspired the founders to believe a representative republic would be the best system to protect and advance individual liberty for all and provide the opportunity/civil environment to be free to pursue happiness… A system of just laws and virtuous people, a free enterprise zone which encompassed the whole continent (and now most of the world) provided an opportunity for all.

Virtue (the Christian brand)(now denegrated by the left) was to be the (glue) that held it in place. This glue is a little like concrete. It will take more than Barak Obama and the secular, humanist, atheistic (used to be God and country) (now socialist) democrats to destroy it!!!!!!

The next Czar to go after is the FCC Czar that is trying to get the Fairness Doctrine back to control our airways. They have dropped the name Fairness Doctringe and using words like Diversity and Locallism. This is a step to censure what we are hearing. E-mail the WhiteHouse now that we demand this be stopped and we are watching them

It’s amazing that when detergeny companies and other corporations engineer commercials that say “revolutionary” the same fear doesn’t come over America. You folks should be ashamed of yourselves. Van Jones did nothing wrong. He wants fairness, but apparently, some people want to hold on to power and cry when a white person is no longer at the helm. I wish Obama was socialist, but if you think he is you need to go fetch a book on communism and socialism fast! YEAH VAN JONES!! Now you’re not tied down anymore.

Is there really not one sane person on here? I watched the same video you all did, I saw a guy speaking about pushing a green agenda, green means addressing environmental concerns. He spoke of starting small, and then pushing it harder. WTF. Do you people really not understand that our current way of living is destroying the planet we live on? When I was a kid, global warming was still being denied. Now there is no choice but to acknowledge it is real. I don’t think this person’s history makes him the best choice for working in our white house, however, he said absolutely NOTHING communist, socialize, or even against capitalism. If you listen to what he said, he did not disparage capitalism. He said it is time to move away from a SUICIDAL gray capitalism to an ECO capitalism. He didn’t say lets start a communist revolution. Every one of you (at least as many as I could stand to read) need to stop looking for what you want to hear, and listen to what is actually said
