Government caused many of these problems by over-reaching in the first place. Why is it more economical to send work to China? Because economically it makes sense to do so. How do we improve that? Reduce some of the ridiculous government regulations that make it cost more to do work and manufacture here. Reduce the inefficiency and rigors of the unions. Government regulation and union control of the workforce always backfires and results in the unintended consequence of people losing their jobs and having reduced pay. Don’t continue to employee illegals – that are causing havoc in the construction industry, for example.
And before G@y Party guy jumps in says that to suggest improving the US worker-business climate is akin to his fetish of hillbilly’s f**king sheep and their sisters, just think about the trends we seen over the years and the correlation between obsessive government regulation, lawyer involvement, and union involvement – and the amount of work being shipped overseas.
Not suggesting dumping raw sewage in the rivers, but OSHA standards, evironmental standards, and wage standards have gotten out of hand and keeps Americans from working. Why is it that kids can’t get work? Do think the hiking of the minimum wage had anything to do with it?
