Where is the honor in violating everything you promised on the campaign trail once in office? I would rather resign than force health care through on reconciliation, and have this video go viral for the next hundred years as an example of the total and complete violation of my campaign promises. Once someone has achieved enough financial success to provide for one’s family, as Obama obviously had by the time he reached the US senate, then the only remaining issue for the rest of one’s career is, can you conduct yourself with honor? Apparently a commitment to the socialist agenda IS the only matter of honor for him. That’s the only conclusion to draw. He should have been honest with the American people on the campaign trail that this is who he is. What a liar.

People were warned about Obama’s fascist/socialist beliefs. He’s a follower of Saul Alinsky(?) and Bill Ayers. People were warned and they chose to believe the propaganda coming from the so-called press that out right supported him. Its too late to have buyers remorse here. We can try and stop it, but elections have consequences and we are all going to pay for it. Hopefully the Republic will survive. That’s another thing, alot of people think we are a Democracy. We aren’t. WE are a representative republic where the states are joined together by agreement to form a union. That agreement is the US Constitution and if more people had read it and understood it, we may not be where we are today. God help us. By the way, I thought the same thing about Bush as he was doing the same thing only much slower.

Obama has no intention of governing – he wants to RULE!

Health Redistribution Czar   March 3rd, 2010 - 10:37 am

EVERY Obama promise comes with an expiration date. Some quicker than others.

SteveC   March 3rd, 2010 - 10:39 am

Here’s the problem.

Politicians have always lied. And then lied about their lies (“I didn’t have sex with that woman . . .”).

Now, with a video camera attached to every cellphone, everything every politician says is preserved for posterity.

However, they don’t seem to care and for sure they don’t acknowledge what they said in the past. Even if confronted they’ll mumble through something like “Uh well, what said then was true then but the circumstances have changed. These are desperate times.”

This will not change until we experience the change we though we were going to get with Obama. You know, getting rid of every politician who practices “business as usual” politics — the politics of pure power over all else. Obama has demonstrated that his only agenda is to sweep as much power under the federal rug as he can manage. Doesn’t matter what it is — banks, auto companies, healthcare, climate change, etc., etc., etc.

If you think he’s going to tuck his tail and hide in the Oval Office the next three years, you’re wrong. Between now and November he will try to jam through everything on his wish list and it will take years to undo the damage.

For all who voted for the “man with no resume” I’d only ask that the next time someone like Obama comes on the scene you do a better job. As voters, you failed the rest of us.

The Warrior   March 3rd, 2010 - 10:42 am

The Bama and his cronies are just two faced, standard issue, low life, bottom feeding piece of pond scum, just like EVERY other politician currently siting in D.C.

WE THE REAL PEOPLE need to prepare to retake our country by whatever legal means necessary to return the United States to the land of liberty and freedom it once was; not the magnet for elitist ideologists, the pampered few, the illegal transients who only cares for himself and no one else, has no respect for the rule of law, and discard the “unwashed masses” (per Harry Reid) who work daily, pay their bills on time, provide as best they can for their families and their country. If we do not prepare, then we have no one to blame but ourselves for our plight because we failed to act when the need arose.

Vote every chance you get. Vote the bums and the scum out. Know who you are voting for and what they believe in. And be sure to look at their past record to be sure they are playing the part of chameleon.

To those in D.C., be afraid; be very afraid. The voters are coming to get you and send you home!

Paul Conrad   March 3rd, 2010 - 10:42 am

HAHAHA, that’s it! Health care finished. This just proves what a pathological lying commie pinko steaming pile of pig vomit Obama is.

puppetdummy   March 3rd, 2010 - 10:43 am

How do you make him say that? Amazing.

Curtbe   March 3rd, 2010 - 10:43 am

When these comments were made the Dem’s were still operating under the delusion that the Rethuglicans would actually put the good of the people ahead of short-term political gains and help create a health care reform package. This was before the statement by Jim DeMint; “If we’re able to stop Obama on this it will be his Waterloo. It will break him.” became the war cry of the Rethug’s. After too long a time of trying to get Rethug’s to come to the table and work together, Obama gave up and decided to have the Dem’s go it alone. What other choice was there? The Rethug’s made it very clear that they were not going to vote for anything other then a bill they authored and wrote, and since they are the minority party, that’s insanity. Obama tried to get consensus, but because of Rethug’s obstruction was forced to reconciliation. Oh well, this was the gambit the Rethug’s took, and just like all the times they shut down the government to get their way, they lost.

At least he admitted that he is a “Progressive.” There is only one problem with that. Most people, and that includes the many, many uninformed fools and blind followers of the Barry Barack Messiah II cult that voted for him have no clue as to what makes up a “Progressive.” Believe me when I say it has nothing to do with PROGRESS!
Just what reform does this bill include. It seems the only “REFORM” is in the name. It will “REFORM” America but not for the good. It will make Barry’s union buddies happy. It will make Liberals happy. It will start Progressives on their road to happiness. It will do absolutely nothing for the average American except make him and her much poorer. The becomming poorer aspect will kick in long before the supposed “Health Care” provisions kick in. And please don’t believe that the tax hikes will affect only those “rich” people. Every one of us will be hit with higher taxes and much higher costs and the corporate tax increases are passed down to the consumer. That is assuming a lot. It assumes that we will have money left to be consumers.
You voted for “CHANGE.” No one person told you it would be “CHANGE” for the good. Just “CHANGE!” Don’t blame Bush. Don’t blame Republicans. Balme the one person responsible” YOU! and your vote.

Whatever happens now, Obama and the dems have burned bridges with the American electorate that will NEVER be rebuilt again.
Especially with the all important election deciding independants.
They are destroying their own party and have guaranteed major defeats in November, and are even sealing Obama’s fate as a one term lame duck. Forcing something so unpopular through is political suicide.

The strong negatives that get circulated concerning health care reform has the parrots who absorb the lies
and then just repeat them over and over. When I hear republicans speak it’s like they have all been given
the same script to repeat over. I never listen usually to any talk radio and yesterday I happened to and
the entire time on this local station all people did was called in and bash Obama. It’s like that was the
only purpose for the show. I’m glad there is not democrats out there doing the same thing it shows more
intelligence by not doing this negative talk show stuff. We need health care reform and many people have
devoted their valuable time to see that we get this as people are really dying because of this. It’s been
decades and many Presidents have tried to get this passed. If we had honest debate instead of the name
calling and out right fabrications it would be a honest way of deciding on important issues but that is
not the way things are being done.

ramona   March 3rd, 2010 - 10:59 am

curtbe @10:43:
Just for your information, the Dems never included the R’s anywhere along the line on this bill. They were shut out at every turn, and your saying they did doesn’t make it so. The Dems have the majority in both houses and could have passed this bill anytime they wanted without help from the R’s. You cannot blame any of this on the Republicans – it doesn’t wash.

nodoubt1   March 3rd, 2010 - 10:59 am

These comments prove Obama really wanted to lead the country rather than divide it.

I have never seen a major political party act so irresponsibly, recklessly and hypocritically as the Republicans have done since the election.

Deficits done matter when you want to cut taxes for the wealthiest elite, but are a real threat as soon as you try to provide jobs or extend unemployment benefits in the middle of the worst depression since the thirties.

Republicans led the charge to spend a trillion dollars on a war to deliver Iraq into the hands of the Iranians, but are now leading the charge to prevent necessary infrastructure spending here at home.

david   March 3rd, 2010 - 11:00 am

To RNel
Uh, didn’t you hear him last week, “John, the election is over.” This apparently means that campaign promises are stated for the sole purpose of getting oneself elected and once that’s accomplished, they mean nothing and one should not expect the elected official to actually keep said promises…

Spends too much….Doesn’t spend enough…Bows too low….Doesn’t bow low enough…Cheese-N-rice folks, it is obvious the president is black….Those of us with some intelligence don’t need those who don’t have intelligence reminding us that he IS black…Give alternatives to the actions, explain in full what your complaints are, or just sit back and watch those who ARE TRYING to fix this train wreck….There is no manual for repairing what uneducated voters allowed to happen…..And it wasn’t just George W Bush, it has been many over many years….Aren’t you proud of those you voted for? Getting any more intelligence?

Obama, Reid and Pelosi are the worst kind of missionaries. They seek to punish us by giving us an extremely flawed, expensive “health” care bill. Lots of people think this is going to be paid for by “the rich”. I have yet to hear what it will cost individuals. A percentage of income? What percentage? Beware missionary zealots, they are very destructive. Apparently they can’t hear us, either.

Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that’s essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.

President Obama could enact the plans in this memo with just the stroke of a pen, without any input from the communities affected by it.

At a time when our national unemployment rate is 9.7 percent, it is unbelievable anyone would be looking to stop job-creating energy enterprises, yet that’s exactly what’s happening. …”

Nice try!! The people put president Obama in office knowing very will what his intention were, thats

reform across the board on his policies and healthacre was one. , None of his POLICIES are a surprise it

was up on his site during his campaign…. So CUT THE CRAP .

the president and his party problem is many people upset it has drag on and that Washington is NOT

getting things done.

American voters punish FAILURE to get stuff done , not for POLICIES they know of getting pass, Now run

along.

If anything the democrats have been their own worse enemy because of all the infighting, When this bill

pass we all will move along beacuse we are a country of short memory. And last! Senator john McCain is

down in the polls and could lose his seat, And he have nothing to do with president Obama , that just

show people are mad at any incumbent.

But the Democrats can shake that by showing they are getting things done.and passing this bill is a

start.

The fringe tea party movement with ZERO minority doesn’t speak for the country of over 300 million

people if that was the case those tea party would have millions of people showing up , but nice try.

This is all about health insurance and nothing about care. I guess the care might be taken away from old people but it doesn’t improve care for anyone. People who work will pay for people who do not work. That sums it up.

Maggie   March 3rd, 2010 - 11:18 am

It is one constant that he is intent on transforming America. Where were the questions about this statement all through the campaign? Did I miss the interview on ABC ? I don’t want my America transformed by ANY means by ANY anybody. Restore her to the founders plan ,it’s as simple as that. The Tea Party Movement is doing just that. The members you see on the streets is only the tip of the ice burg, the rest are at work or sitting on the couch nodding yes to the signs and the speakers at the protests. November will prove this to be true.

The health bill has already passed the congress and the senate. This is just the reconciliation. In Canada they are all very happy and proud of their health care and it only costs 2/3 of the US system – incredible. And then we have Drudge Report sensationalizing everything in a negative way rather than informing anyone of anything.

This is all about health insurance and nothing about care. I guess the care might be taken away from old people but it doesn’t improve care for anyone. People who work will pay for people who do not work. That sums it up.

Just another lie from YOUR president. The world has never seen a leader that lies this much since Saddam said he had no WMD’s.

how long can Americans stand the lies from THIER president.

I just don’t get it

The USA is an embarrassment to the world.

I-see-dumb-people….I assume you’re looking into a mirror. Wait until next election and you will see how fringe and zero minority the tea party movement is.You need to check you’re figures on how many people want this piece of crap plan. It’s much less than 50%

Joe Wilson   March 3rd, 2010 - 11:20 am

YOU LIE!

party going down in flames   March 3rd, 2010 - 11:21 am

sometimes i wonder if this is going to be the demise of the entire democrat party.
is it possible some will attempt to form a new party – having been so severly labeled and damaged?
of course obama couldnt care – - he knows there will be no second term for him or pelosi.

Mike M   March 3rd, 2010 - 11:21 am

He used the term back then… “UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE”. That’s what he really wants and that’s what they have in Canada and the UK, etc. – Universal Healthcare SUCKS!!! One way or another government is ALREADY controlling over 60% of US healthcare transactions when you count SSI disability, medicare, medicaid, VA, unfunded insurance coverage mandates, health benefits for the bloated roles of federal employment PLUS those on federal pensions, paying for illegals, drug subsidies plus who knows what else.

So GOVERNMENT CONTROL is the very reason healthcare costs are skyrocketing…. and you think that they are just ‘STUPID’ thinking MORE control will fix it?

Of course not. They know it will cost more and take away our liberty but that is EXACTLY what they want – MORE CONTROL… MORE POWER OVER US!

Throw them all OUT, radical progressives are DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY BEFORE OUR VERY EYES!

And to all you doctors out there… GROW A PAIR! REVOLT!

What don’t you get about the fact that 300,000,000 people DO NOT WANT TO PAY for 17-25 million dopes insurance.

BROWN-UM   March 3rd, 2010 - 11:24 am

The fringe tea party movement with ZERO minority doesn’t speak for the country of over 300 million
people if that was the case those tea party would have millions of people showing up , but nice try.
=================================

betcha you didnt see scott brown coming either, huh?
the numbers you see of the tea party are merely representatives of millions of voices.

This man is reprehensible. Is there any issue where he hasn’t played both sides at one time or another.

DISINGENUOUS. I hope all those “independents” who fell for his lies have awakened from their coma.

thekruk   March 3rd, 2010 - 11:27 am

Still way better than that moron Bush who got us into this mess in the first place. Your time is done the revolution is won.
If you think we won’t fight you sure haven’t got anything right.
I see racism behind your poems and jokes. Sour grapes to all you republican apes.
