Polls can have slanted data. It matters where in the country the polls it is taken, what questions are asked and who is doing the polling. All of them, including some of the more conservative ones have some type of agenda or bias. Some can keep it in check and some can't.
The only gauge I believe is to look at the unemployment numbers and even those do not accurately coorespond to reality. Our government thinks we are at +/- 10%. That doesn't account for all the people who have used up all their benefits, the part timers, and those who have given up even looking for a job. That would place the true numbers at above 16%.
Now you try raising taxes on people who are barely making ends meet, Mr. Obozo is in real trouble 2012.
