The fact is that the “higher income” neighborhoods pay the majority of all taxes collected. Just look at it like the non-tax paying obama’s now have to pay a tax….finally

Social Justice at work — favoritism and cronyism at work. This is what our future will be.

Need a Kidney transplant to live? Not if an SEIU member needs one, they’ll be allowed to cut in line ahead of you. Healtcare patronage system.

Don’t be fooled, SEIYOU thugs are blowing this out of proportion, as usual.

Parking in those hills is the toughest parking in that city.

And of course it doesn’t make one bit of difference and is not appreciated
that those folks in the hills pay the lion’s share of taxes – oh, but that doesn’t matter,
what really really matters is Union Dues.

A lot of the people living in those hills don’t get the public transportation
that they pay for – that’s not fair.

Ban parking violations everywhere… except in front of fire plugs and snow routes. Let cars park on city streets when and wherever they want for no cost.

Wow…she said it’s racial because…

the lower income people will live in lower areas and higher income people live in higher areas.

While I agree it’s wrong to not enforce violations everywhere equally, but to call it racial is ignorant especially when you are correctly describing it as class discrimination.

Some people are just so hard wired into screaming racism at every foul play.

If you want to fight, at least fight the right problem.

Don’t be surprise.

Often, activists claim that the rich get special privileges, when that is not the case.

Maybe Lakeesha was trying to set a record for the number of tickets given to the wealthy and they told her to be reasonable, which she interpreted as being told to back off.

Calvin&Hobbes   February 28th, 2010 - 6:55 pm

We are all equal under the law, except that some neighborhoods are more equal that others.

The idiot who wrote the memo, on how to enforce this law, will be reprimanded and will be given a promotion so that this will never happen again.

Park on the RIGHT SIDE   March 1st, 2010 - 5:41 pm

Agreed, but at least make them face the right direction. People who park on a street facing the wrong direction not only are violating state laws by crossing the “middle line” but are showing their disregard for the law (i.e., they like to be “bad boys” & criminals) and nobody needs that type of jerk in their neighborhood. Got too many of those creeps already… A few routine parking tickets & stiff fines might straighten them out… and help city coffers to boot.
