Why? How stupid. This is art? Where are all the American Monets??

So… it’s nakie day at the museum. How would they react if someone groped these women as part of the “art experience”?

This is a classic example of shoddy reporting.

There is no real art here, neither is there an artist present. This isn’t anything “adventurous” about squeezing past two naked women (people in strip clubs pay extra for something very similar every night) or looking at naked women. Interviewing the patrons and regurgitating the press release is shoddy reporting.

What would have been an interesting story would have been an interview with the women who stand there naked (or lie there naked under a fake skeleton) all day. How did they get that job? How do they feel about it? Do they have ANY marketable skills, or is that what happens to people who get Masters of Fine Art degrees? I’m more interested in who the models are and how they wound up there rather than what the curator or the press release has to say about this.

Idiot liberals. No class, no values, no morals, no common sense. These are the losers in charge of our kids at public schools.

This is not art- its exhibitionism. Stupidity at its best!!

Hmm..take clothesless women and put them with props or stand in a doorway and Viola! Instant ART!

This is art for non talented artists.

Isn’t it a bit sexist to have 2 naked women in the doorway vs. 2 naked men? I think most people have no problem brushing against naked women, but would they brush up against 2 naked hairy men? Not that any of this is art, but if their real goal was to shock, why not take it all the way?

I bet our money did pay for this since b.o. gives it to the arts.

I watched the news bit. It didn’t seem as though she were selling nudity, there weren’t any nude males. A more ‘balanced’ doorway would have a naked man standing across from the naked woman.
It isn’t art, it is a publicity stunt.

I wonder how she convinced those naked women to allow themselves to be objectified (after all, they are ‘objects’ of art rather than women, in the exhibit).

France gives the world Pierre-Auguste Cot and the Louvre. Holland gives us Rembrandt. Italy gives us Michaelangelo. Germany gives us Wagner, and the city of Dredsen. And the best we can do in New York is a couple of naked college girls, a halloween decoration from Wally World, and two liberals sitting at a coffee table staring at each other?

You just gotta love hearing these goofballs who think public nudity is art. You want another form of art that would bring huge crowds? Make something that looks ridiculous and shoots out $50 bills.

If I were there, it wouldn’t be my protruding backpack making it difficult to pass between those ladies.

I loved liberal women when I was single and younger. I will be honest, they were a lot easier to bed than conservative women. Liberalism and feminism does not help women or their cause. I think quite the opposite.

I just hope when someone walks past the naked women, no one curls in a knuckle when they scoot by.

I remember a 1980 episode of Bosom Buddies that had an artist chain himself to a wall at an art exhibit (where Kip displayed his paintings), and the artist character claimed he simply ran out of ideas so he just used himself as a human exhibit. Who would have known some idiot today would come so close to what was supposed to be a spoof of the stupidity of modern art. Yet another dumb-ass example of “pushing the envelope”. Unbelievable.

This is just stupid, but then again, so is vast majority of the “art” community.

There is nothing here… move along. This is nothing but a simple sandwich. Frankly if I were going through I’d grab, touch and wiggle. What could they do. They invited the contact. I’m wondering about that lady at the end with the cane. You can’t tell me she didn’t cop a feel as she struggled through. I’ve done this with Hilary and Michele several times, so get over it.

You people are idiots. First of all it is NOT public nudity . It’s indoors, and there are warning signs before you go in, so anyone who doesn’t want to see naked bodies, does not have to. It’s a paid exhibition. How many of you pay to see an R rated movie that has a few naked bodies in it? Second, the ENTIRE history of art had naked bodies in it. Statue of David by Michaelangelo. Olympia by Manet. Birth of Venus by Botticelli. C’mon people, lighten up, loosen up, try to have an open mind. These naked bodies are not meant to shock, they are not pornographic, they are just naked. Just like we all are. Good Lord, you all sound like a bunch of pilgrims.

It also shows how you project your own depravity onto this exhibit by all of the comments about copping a feel. CREEPY!
