4th the liberals OWN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM, where they indoctrinate kids for 4-8 hours a day in liberal dogma. The kids I see in Universities today are totally brainwashed into being anti-Religion, anti-right, and they see anyone who opposes them as mean, bigoted and need to be stopped.

it is now nearly 3 years since the house flipped over to democrats. Prior to that, it was republican. At 10 months after the democrats took over, the stock market started to tank and unemployment started to creep up.
So, under Bush, the improvements were that we had essentially full employment and all of the usual benefits of full employment.

People who have stagnated for 30 years. Well, oddly, I think MOST Americans would say – if asked and their answers listened to no matter WHAT and NOT just because it is what the activists WANT to hear – MOST would say that their lives are BETTER than their parents lives 30 years ago. MOST would admit that their lives consist of more free time and more material advantages than 30 years ago. 30 years ago the norm was 1 car to a family, 1 tv to a family, fewer college degrees. Today, families have more physical comforts than ever and have more free time filled with activities of leisure.
There are people out there being driven by fear. But it’s NOT the majority and they are not being driven by co-called ring-wing media. The state media is driving those that consider themselves ‘poor’ to make rash generalizations in an attempt to justify their own lack of success. I think we’ve all seen these people that have $120 jeans, cell phones, $2000 rims on their cars and big screen televisions that are talking about being “poor”. Those are the people being stirred to action, fueled by feelings that they ‘deserve’ what others simply may have worked harder for. Sure, some people have advantages which are not earned. Sure, some have a better starting position in life because they come from wealthy families. But EVERYBODY has the freedom to work as hard as they can to achieve what they are able to. THAT is what every American is ENTITLED to. The chance to work hard – NOT the fruits of success. And THAT is exactly what the socialist/communist idealist like Mr. Chomsky can’t comprehend.
You can see from the comments here and elsewhere just how naive at least 50% of the American population is about communism. It is not taught in public schools because the public schools are captive to left wing teacher’s unions and politicians who are more concerned with being PC than teaching the history of communism and the 150,000,000 murders attributed to it.
Chomsky is brilliant and can tell it like it is, without the B.S. I enjoy his thoughts a lot for that fact. However, at the end, he says it’s not a close/proper analogy, but a scarey thought. That completely negates his entire argument/sound bite. in a sense, he is guilty of what he is accusing the right wing of. dropping bombs of incorrect information. i will say it reminds me of something horrible to make the analogy, and then say it is not close to that in the end, but frightening all the same. As for Bush, you are aware he is out of office–right? Yet, if you wish to go there, get the facts right. The decision to invade Iraq was a poor one. I personally maintained that when it first happed. Yet, Bush was not the only one there, most of the dems were behind it, the media and–for the record–the American people. To Obama’s credit he was not. It was the few and the rich and many of the so called philosophers, who lived for the most part off of their parents labor, spouting idiotic philosophies this man Chomsky finds so terrific. It was only they in the ‘Weimarer Republik’ that lived the ‘high live’. My grandfather and father lived thru that time and told me plenty of stories of how life looked like for most people at that time in Germany. It was starvation, unemployment, sickness, poverty and death everywhere. Like in the ‘Middle Ages’, every morning teams from the coroners office swept the streets of large cities and picked up the Dead so the living didn’t stumble over them. At night the living celebrated to have survived another day. That, mister Chomsky, was how life looked for most Germans in the 20’s.
Actions and words had meanings, just like today. Then it was the Versailles Treaties that handcuffed a nation until it almost died. In an environment like that, and with one government after another coming and going is it any wonder that people finally ‘chose’ a man who promised work, food and prosperity? Even so he needed to use murder and lies and deception all along the way to his chancellorship that he still would not have reached, if American money had not bailed him out time after time. This mister Chomsky, is a fact of life.

What do you call it when the government tells an auto manufacturer the specifications of the vehicles it will produce? Fascism. What do you call it when the government begins down the path of deciding what medical treatment will be available, who will get it, and how long they will wait? Fascism What do you call it when the government begins to tell medical doctors that the killing of fetuses is the right of women, no matter it is an issue of conscience for the doctor who is obligated to perform the evil act? Is that not fascist too?

History of Nazi Germany is fascinating and boring at the same time. I grew up hearing about the war and it became a hobby for many years. To understand what gave rise to the Nazis you have to start at the end of WWI and study through to the beginning of WWII. You might say that Nazi Germany is an example of an extremely despotic government and Stalin was no different. My dad was not happy about my studies because he feared I would become a Nazi but what happened was quite the opposite. I learned how to be a better American, love my Constitution and spot the bull crap. P.S. Nazi was an abbreviation for Nationalsozialist Deutche Arbeits Partei(National Socialist German Worker’s Party).
P.S.S. I forgot, The Nazi concentration camps used jewish “coppos”. Those were jews who cooperated with the Nazis to control their “brother inmates” and I use that term loosley.

I don’t know of, and never heard, any Republican state or imply this. What Chomsky may actually be referring to is fascism, which can be attributed to both Republicans and Democrats. Fascism has elements of state control of industry (Obama/GE, Obama/banks, Obama/auto industry), intense nationalism (Republicans), euthanasia (Democratics, at least the progressive wing). Throughout the years, both parties have demonstrated aspects of fascism. (Nixon instituted a wage freeze to control inflation.) Unfortunately with people like Chomsky cavalierly throwing around the term “Nazi”, the true horror of that regime is being lost.

In addition , if you look at the voting records of inter war Germany you find that the combined “socialist” vote is REMARKABLY stable at around 13 million votes or 40%. In contrast , the Conserative , Chrsistian Decmocrat, Nationalist vote on the right is up and down like a yo- yo .Said fluctuations have about a 99.99% correlation with rises and falls in the NASDP- NAZIS support. I wonder where Hitler was getting his support from?
