No Photo ID Required: CNN’s Dobbs Calls Ohio Early Voting Rules ‘An Absurdity’

"No photo ID is required. New Ohio voters have only to write down the last four digits of their Social Security number or write down their driver's license number. They can also register with the utility bill, cell phone bill, bank statement or paycheck, even college ID if those documents include name and address."

Bravo Lou Dobbs!

Gee, I wonder what would happen if 7-10 million ILLEGAL MEXICANS vote without having to show Photo ID?

Might that sway the election outcome just a little?

WAKE UP AMERICA!

DOBBS/PALIN

TypicalWhitePerson   October 2nd, 2008 - 2:53 pm

That’s because the homeless and illegals they have been dragging from bars and shelters to register don’t usually have photo ID. The Dems have said themselves they can always steal a close election.

One thing only to remember, WHO GAINS FROM THIS ?!!

I am sure someone will publish the home addresses of these politicians. You might want to pay attention when they do !!

dswilli   October 2nd, 2008 - 3:17 pm

Let’s see if Obama gets more votes than eligible voters who live in Ohio. Ahhhh Chicago style graft and corruption. Fraud of this caliber would make Mugabe envious.

Take Your Prozac   October 2nd, 2008 - 3:37 pm

Oh, come on, guys. Don’t they have VOTER LISTS that they have to check off as each registered voter appears at the polls, ready to vote? It is up to the Registrar which forms of I.D. are required, but obviously, the precinct workers *have to* refer to the Voter Lists and see some form of I.D. or see the Sample Ballot in their hand that was mailed to the voter, that indicates this is a legitimate voter; and then they make you SIGN the Registered Voter Book, and then they hand you the ballot.

WHY would not having PHOTO ID make a difference?
And WHY should it be any particular PHOTO ID?
(A buyer’s club Membership Card with one’s name & photo is good enough to validate WHO you are.) How about a little common sense?!

At some point, all the hysterics and fear-mongers are going to have to SHUT UP and just TRUST the American voter! After all, we are *not* going to submit to fingerprinting, iris scans, or cheek swabbing just for the “privilege” of voting for the LESSER OF EVILS that we have before us! And that is the direction you hysterics seem to want to go!

FORGET IT. Relax, take your Prozac, and PLEASE shut up with all the hysteria about “voter fraud”!

dswilli   October 2nd, 2008 - 3:51 pm

Screw off “take your Prozac”. You know as well as anyone the vast majority of these ballots will NOT be scrutinized. Since the Secretary of state has made her decision allowing many thousands of deceased, people no longer in Ohio, and criminals to vote all bets are off. With Acorn PROMOTING fraudulent voting your post stinks of something from a Obama blogging talking points page.

Dan V   October 2nd, 2008 - 3:52 pm

I live in Cincinnati, the homeless are crawling all over the precincts downtown…..extra police officers were called in to deal with the “influx” of homeless voters. Thanks dems, good to see the homeless are deciding the fate of this country

Teflon Bill   October 2nd, 2008 - 3:59 pm

Even Louisiana mandates photo ID to vote, and has for at least the last several years. Think the Demoncraps are going to steal this election no matter what it takes. Bet the majority of the non ID holders are in the Teleprompter Obomber tank.

To dswilli   October 2nd, 2008 - 4:00 pm

To dswilli,
Screw off yourself, idiot!

Maybe in YOUR state they do not scrutinize people who appear at the precinct to vote or have strict regulations in force, but they do in ours.

If you don’t like it, why don’t you change things in your state? Oh, yeah, you are too busy posting BS on breitbarf.

Kos   October 2nd, 2008 - 4:01 pm

I beleve the story mentioned that the individuals were registering to vote and immediately upon registering, voting. That begs the question. How can an individual that is just registering to vote already be on a Voter List? My inquiry does not apply to Cook County, Illinois, where I assume this practice is commonplace!

pwn   October 2nd, 2008 - 4:09 pm

Let’s see who am I going to believe Lou Dobbs or some douche bag from a website? Sorry Prozac boy gotta go with Lou on this one.

America is finished. Kaput.

Fussy   October 2nd, 2008 - 4:12 pm

Want to cause a stir with the poll watcher just try to sign the book in ink instead of the pencil they hand you. You may get thrown out. Why do they insist on pencil? Because they can’t alter it later.

Other   October 2nd, 2008 - 4:15 pm

People have to show id to cash the welfare checks…how come a voter id is so unfair?

Albert Hall   October 2nd, 2008 - 4:18 pm

Clean It Up Then   October 2nd, 2008 - 5:04 pm

One guy said, “beleve the story mentioned that the individuals were registering to vote and immediately upon registering, voting. That begs the question. How can an individual that is just registering to vote already be on a Voter List?”

Good question. Never heard of such a thing. In our state, there are DEADLINES by which you must be REGISTERED before you will be allowed to vote (in any upcoming elections). Not sure how many days–something like a couple, three weeks.

WHY DON’T YOU GUYS CLEAN UP YOUR STATE, if you have such shady things going on? Remember, the Registrar of Voters & that whole office WORKS FOR YOU!

That's Right   October 2nd, 2008 - 5:09 pm

“It is up to the Registrar which forms of I.D. are required, but obviously, the precinct workers *have to* refer to the Voter Lists and see some form of I.D. or see the Sample Ballot in their hand that was mailed to the voter, that indicates this is a legitimate voter; and then they make you SIGN the Registered Voter Book, and then they hand you the ballot.

Good one! :-)

Just because some states are too stupid to figure out how to have a legal, safe, secure, efficient voting procedure, DON’T HAVE A COW, MAN!

Work to change the system if you don’t like it.

Mike   October 2nd, 2008 - 5:24 pm

As Obama says, “We are in charge of the voting in Ohio.”

dswilli   October 2nd, 2008 - 5:36 pm

“Work to change the system if you don’t like it.”

What a crock of s***, one side is trying to work within the law. The other sees the law as an obstruction to be circumvented. The media scrutinizes one side with a microscope while giving the other a free pass. The system is broken there is no “fixing” it. The only question is at what point will people get fed up enough to go to war.

Travis   October 2nd, 2008 - 5:51 pm

Dead people vote in Chicago.

Dave   October 2nd, 2008 - 5:56 pm

When I hear about “Bush stealing the election in 2000″I laugh.
Although I think Bush should be impeached at this point,Bush won IN SPITE OF the Democrats and their vote fraud.
This goes back to the days of Kennedy/Nixon.
These scams mysteriously seem to happen in Democrat areas that have high welfare/government dependency rates such as Chicago,Los Angeles,Philly.

Jon Hartley   October 2nd, 2008 - 6:20 pm

Wow, there’s a new movie coming out soon.

It’s called “The Seventh Sense”

The kid in the movie walks around saying,

“I see dead people voting.”

Jon Hartley   October 2nd, 2008 - 6:32 pm

DSWilli says:
“The system is broken there is no “fixing” it. The only question is at what point will people get fed up enough to go to war”

Sure enough. The point will be reached when the real financial crisis hits. When kids start starving. When the people finally realize that their votes are worthless. The Democrats are completely corrupt and evil. The GOP are complete cowards with no guts.

Two important points: There are 300 million guns in this country, and no liberal will ever confiscate them all.

And, conservatives are better at wilderness survival. Once the inner city scum finish looting the grocery stores in the “hood”, they’ll starve to death.

Ken   October 2nd, 2008 - 8:05 pm

This just shows what democrats and especially Obama will do in order to win. I mean, come on, no ID required? This makes the whole voting process obsolete.

keith   October 2nd, 2008 - 8:33 pm

Minnesota too.

You can also have people “vouch” for you and they don’t need ID. Just a utility bill….even a hand written rent receipt. It’s a joke.

It’s one of the reasons we have higher taxes then the rest of you and why we were the only state to vote Mondale.

Say Goodbye   October 2nd, 2008 - 8:51 pm

Almost everything I hear and read about this election makes me begin to lose hope for this country. Give Obama and the Dems a few months of real executive power and we will be well on our way to third world status.

Gov.Edwin Edwards   October 2nd, 2008 - 10:29 pm

Vote Once, Vote Twice, Vote 3 times for the Dali Bama Ohio, it’s all good in Ohio……

PS: All Republican Votes will not be counted as requested by the Lord Maker Of Us All….B Hussien Obama……Thug Life in the Off White House…yo yo

You guys are WHINING about “voters cheating…” You are WHINING that the Democrats are corrupt and GOP are gutless…

Why don’t you QUIT YOUR WHINING and admit that you were FOOLS to vote BUSH into office, and that HE AND HIS ADMINISTRATION are responsible for the horrible MESS we are in?!

They were whining about Democrats’ “corruption” and Republicans’ “balllessness”…

And more likely than not, THEY are the ones who elected BUSH and thus CREATED the nightmare we are all having to live now.

So STFUP. MORON.

STFUP says:

Bush has nothing to do with the voting corruption in Ohio, Moron. So YOU are the one who needs to STFUP. But, you can continue being a french fry cooking third worlder, because I know you can’t help your low IQ. Okay Boy. Run along now. The adults are talking.

Amusing   October 4th, 2008 - 3:05 am

Jon Fartley keeps INSISTING on missing the point and firing off what he considers extremely clever salvos. (NOT!)

The original post was making an observation that those people who are WHINING the loudest are REPUBS who PUT BUSH INTO OFFICE and Bush made a nightmare of our lives and futures in the good ol’ USA.

But Mr. Fartley keep harping about the so-called voter corruption in Ohio. Idiot.

By the way, Lou Dobbs recently declared that BUSH should be IMPEACHED over the BAD TOMATOES nonsense!

You guys are all amusingly pathetic.
