Newt Suggests Romney Guilty Of Foreclosures For Owning Bank Stocks

During the most heated exchange in Thursday's CNN debate, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney traded punches over Gingrich's consulting contract for Freddie Mac and Romney's stock portfolio.

Gingrich pointed out that Romney had investments in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Goldman Sachs and, therefore, was complicit in multiple mortgage foreclosures. Romney responded with a detailed explanation of his investments and reminded Gingrich that he too had multiple stock positions in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Romney did make millions on the collapse itself . He wasn't in office, there was no need for a blind trust.

He's lying

Not needing one and not having one are not……. the same thing.

I can easily understand how you could get that confused.

And…… if you had any money in bond mutual funds… (That's a stetch of course.. you with money.) you would have made money on Freddie and Fannie as an investor.

Nearly every bond fund in the world owns some of their paper.

But you need money to know this. Which is why you don't!

NO ONE has a blind trust if they are NOT in office

I have plenty of bond mutual funds and I know everything abou them.

Now lets talk about how having millions in a Swiss account grows jobs in the USA

It's now to the point where I despise Mitt and Newt. They remind me of Ugolino and Ruggieri, up to their neck in ice, gnawing at each others heads. Can someone please slice the desirable traits of Paul and Santorum into a new being. We need a champion.

Welcome to politics. Is this the first election cycle you've followed?

palidin911   January 26th, 2012 - 6:15 pm

No. Ive followed more than a few, but I don't remember them being as visceral.

ShawnSen   January 26th, 2012 - 7:28 pm

Umm did you watch Hillary and Obama during their primary?

ryanjh   January 26th, 2012 - 7:31 pm

Watching Newt squirm = good times
Romney, good or bad never squirms.

Undecided 2012

What_what_what   January 26th, 2012 - 7:31 pm

And Newt had the nerve to try to hush Wolf Blitzer from asking questions Newt thought was petty?

M-I-DOUBLE TIZZLE   January 26th, 2012 - 7:53 pm

Well that blew up in Newts face….those sizable jowls took a lot of right hooks tonight.

Newt is a liar and an unethical politician. Happy to watch him make an ass out of himself tonight!
