Nazi Stealth Jet Could Have Won War for Hitler

Fox News: Called the Horten 229, the radical "flying wing" fighter-bomber looked and acted a lot like the U.S. Air Force's current B-2 — right down to the "stealth" radar-evading characteristics. Fortunately for the world, the Ho 229 wasn't put into mass production before Nazi Germany surrendered in May 1945.

Please, perhaps we can make July a “Hitler” and “Nazi” free month? I am so tired of hearing the two used in ad hominem attacks by both sides I find myself tuning out anything that mentions them.

That said, no it would not have lead them to win the war; they still would have attempted two fronts, they still would have dissension in the upper ranks, and they still would have lost – they just would have inflicted more loss.

To what…

About Fox: You do know that Bill Kristol, Charles Krauthammer, and numerous other Jewish commentators are regulars on Fox, right? And that the Jewish intellectuals who were key in the Neo-con movement are also frequent guests? And that Hannity and Beck are both openly Zionist (and even refer to themselves that way)? Seriously, are you just going to do the drive by comment or do you really have something to say here?

Alright, now: on the Ho229: it is NOT a “recently revealed secret”. The bits and pieces of the remaining specimen have been in storage at Smithsonian bldgs for decades, and accessible to researchers. There are several books about the plane. It had a serious problem with CG-to-CL relationship and was not stable in flight — the first prototype was crashed by one of the Horten bros. in 1945. A bit of hype here by NatGeo and Fox.

Common guys, this was not political in nature. If is a mighty big word, but if we had not had the advantage we did, this plane could have been a huge issue. At the very least, it’s interesting to see a stealth prototype decades ahead of its’ time.

Two thumbs up for some news that didn’t involve political parties.

Hey WhatWhatRetard,

So what does that make the National Geographic Channel?

Whatwhatwhat   June 30th, 2009 - 11:23 pm

@Typwhtprsn-

How many Jews were complicit with the Nazis before they realized too late that they were no exception to Nazi extermination?

typwhtprson   June 30th, 2009 - 11:48 pm

Whatetc:
I’m sorry folks, but a-holes need to be put in their places. Hitler wrote his “25 points”, a document in which he was already excoriating the Jews, when he started the Party in 1920. Jews had faith that the most educated and sophisticated society in Europe would not succumb to the lunacy, when in fact German intellectuals were largely right in the middle of the nightmare, writing the “science” and the laws to make it happen. Please, STFU and go back to your hole.

tforeman   July 1st, 2009 - 12:34 am

So the German intellectuals write science to fit a political agenda? You mean like they are doing with “climate change?”

Trent   July 1st, 2009 - 12:38 am

Nearly everything you think you know about the Nazis is wrong. Just think, they suppressed this info for 60 years. They also told a bunch of lies – especially about the “Holocaust.” Yeah, they were using “gas chambers” with unsealed wooden doors. They can’t even keep up with their lies, so they browbeat people into believing the BS (oh, and don’t forget the Holocaust museums…..in the US? What? Clearly intended for propaganda.)

The thing that scared the *ews so much is Germany demonstrated what a nation could do unleashed from the yoke of their deb-bases banking system!

Lt York   July 1st, 2009 - 1:08 am

Lies about the “Holocaust”? [nice use of the discredit-attempting scare quotes...]
My uncle was a combat cameraman who was one of the folks who liberated Buchenwald with Patton. I’ve seen the films and heard his first-hand accounts.
It is not a lie.

As you know… Bart will believe “anything”… I could say MUCH more… But why bother on this one…

Matt Drudge must be a “guest” editor this night :D

You do know that Nazi’s fell on the left end of the political spectrum?

duncan   July 1st, 2009 - 6:42 pm

Why is this news The Nazis lost, end of story!
These articles make it seem they are still a threat. OMFG
When is WW2 going to end? Different century people

bluecollarbytes   July 1st, 2009 - 8:44 pm

How many weapons and ideas ‘would have’ won the war for Hitler? Give credit to German engineering and imagination. BUT IF they’d developed a nuclear weapon IN TIME…That ‘would have’ won the war.

I still like seeing all the new technologies developed during the second world war. The NG special on this jet plane was alright, although I’d prefer seeing more archival footage than modern speculation.
