I don’t think Sarah Palin reads or believes in anything, really, except in Sarah Palin. Somewhere along the line in her journey from fashion queen to candidate for vice president, she actually started to believe that she had earned her success, or merited more. In fact, she is an all-too-common product of social networking who knows how to parrot catchy maxims and play upon people’s prejudices in order to garner their affection and support. Her swift rise from mayor of a small town to governor of a small state (yes, I know Alaska has more acreage that any other state, but it’s population puts it in the “small state” category) was not based on public recognition of years of service and achievement, but on her image, nothing more. Yet, there are many other “patriotic traitors” in the same vein as Palin, all of them equally, if not more, dangerous to our Constitution. By the way, the reason the Republicans did not oppose spending over a trillion dollars on the Iraq war is because that was good for business. President Obama’s plan for health care would, from their point of view, be bad for business. To the Republican Party, as with Palin, it’s not about what is best for America, it’s about what is best for them.

I think Joe meant to say that she didn’t read HIS book… which I guess most conservatives have not either. I heard him whining on about the R-party on CSPAN and instantly recognized that HE has designs to PC his way into a voice for Rs. MSNBC ran a poll just after Obama’s first 100 days in office asking viewers to rate his performance on an A to F basis. MSNBC never publicly released this poll’s results because it would embarass their viewers.

The poll was at this url and did not require login to view. Today it requires loging in and I don’t know if the poll is still up. They may have had so many hits thay they took it down. That would be typical for MSNBC.
