Chris Matthews, you can’t be that naive, or was it because you are an Obamamaniac and Obama is an Islamic sympathizer and you had a tingling feeling going up your leg. Hasan was an Islamic jihadist and now you say he called al Queda and question if that was a crime.Chris mentions it becomes a problem when you get into what a person is thinking, his thought process. Chris, what is your position on hate crime legislation? The so-called mainstream news media reported that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan a 39-year-old Army psychiatrist at Fort Hood opened fire at the base shooting and killing 13 people, (12 soldiers and a civilian) and wounding several others. Yet, in their reporting they failed to mention that he was a Muslim. Political correctness at it’s best.
Prior to the shooting Hasan shouted “Allahu Akbar!” — an Arabic phrase for “God is great!”
Some people, along with the media are making excuses for this murdering terrorists claiming Hasan may have suffered from “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,” even though he was never in combat. They also claimed he was upset about going to Afghanistan although he would not have been on the front line; he was a psychiatrist and would have been behind the lines supposedly counseling troubled soldiers. What about the soldiers that were treated by this psychiatrist? How were they affected?
An imam from a mosque Hasan regularly attended said Hasan, a lifelong Muslim, was a committed soldier, gave no sign of extremist beliefs, regularly wore his uniform at prayers and was looking for a wife. Perhaps he did this terrorist act so he could meet the 72 virgins.
Even President Barack Hussein Obama wants to be politically correct and make excuses for this killer. When the incident first occurred at Fort Hood Obama said in a statement, “We don’t know all the answers yet. And I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts.” Ironically, he jumped to conclusions regarding the incident with the white police officer from Cambridge and the black professor from Harvard.
Obama said. “It’s difficult enough when we lose these brave Americans in battles overseas. It is horrifying that they should come under fire at an Army base on American soil.” He’s concerned about the soldiers’ safety at home. I’m concerned about their safety wherever they are. They are on our team.
Now, Obama states, “We can not fully know what leads a man to do such a thing,” referring to the radical Muslim jihadist that struck at Fort Hood. Would you expect anything else coming from Obama? After all he said he has empathy for the terrorists who on 9/11 crashed the planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the field in Pennsylvania killing thousands of American citizens. He also said we, the American citizens should have empathy for them. Obama is an embarrassment, an appeaser and is dangerous regarding America’s safety.
The military is also being politically correct and are refraining from revealing that Hasan was a Muslim with anti-American sentiments. Investigators were trying to piece together how and why Hasan allegedly gunned down his comrades.
Here are the facts about Hasan that are known:
Hasan attended the Maryland graduate military medical program and classmates there complained to the faculty about Hasan’s “anti-American propaganda,” but said a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim student kept officers from filing a formal complaint.Another classmate said Hasan once gave a jarring presentation to students in which he argued the war on terrorism was a war against Islam.
Dr. Val Finnell complained to administrators at the military university about what he considered Hasan’s “anti-American” rants. Finnell said, “He at least should have been confronted about these beliefs, told to cease and desist, and to shape up or ship out.”
Hasan reported for duty at Fort Hood in July, after working at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington for six years. Though Hasan apparently had problems at Walter Reed, officials at the Fort Hood hospital said they weren’t aware of any issues with his job performance. The problem was he is a Muslim and because of political correctness (PC) nothing was done.
At least six months ago, Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades.
Hasan gave away his belongings including his clothing and a copy of the Quran and said his good-byes prior to the massacre.

The shooter was a Muslim, had anti-American sentiments and did not want to go to Afghanistan.
What occurred at Fort Hood was a terrorist act, by a radical Muslim jihadist that Obama refuses to address, as well as the so-called mainstream media and the military. The American people need to wake up and they must remember, the radical Muslims believe Americans are infidels; and the infidels will have to convert to Islam, be enslaved or killed. So, beware of the “Trojan Horse,” Osama bin Laden and the Muslim Brotherhood called for a “Civilization-Jihadist Process,” in which they would destroy the Western civilization from within. They stated we do not want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy. That is what we want. Are Muslims infiltrating America to destroy it from within?
There are a lot of people that are putting a blind eye to the threat that is out there. Another example some of you may have heard of is the six imams who were acting suspiciously on a US Airways flight 300 in November 2006 and were removed from the plane.
The imams were seated throughout the plane. Two imams who claimed two first-class seats said their tickets were upgraded. However, the gate agent told police that when the imams asked to be upgraded, they were told no such seats were available. Nevertheless, the two men were seated in first class when they were removed. Three of the men asked for seat-belt extenders, although the men were not oversized. The flight attendant said, rather than attach the extensions, the men placed the straps and buckles on the cabin floor. Witnesses told law enforcement that the men spoke in Arabic and English, criticizing the war in Iraq and President Bush, and talking about al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. According to witnesses, police reports and aviation security officials, the imams displayed other suspicious behavior. Therefore, they were removed from the plane.
The imams felt profiled, humiliated, and discriminated against by their treatment, and subsequently sued the airline with the assistance of CAIR, Council on American Islamic Relations. CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. The case was settled and a CAIR spokesman stated, “The settlement of this case is a clear victory for justice and civil rights over fear and the phenomenon of ‘flying while Muslim’ in the post-9/11 era.”
Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, Texas Democrat, said the September 11 terrorist attacks “cannot be permitted to be used to justify racial profiling, harassment and discrimination of Muslim and Arab Americans.”
I believe these imams were testing the system to see what they can get away with. They also wanted to make people reluctant to report suspicious activity by Muslims in the future for fear of being called a racist and a religious bigot.
President Obama said, “The United States is not and will never be at war with Islam.” Unfortunately, Islam is at war with America and we must remain vigilant.

I had to laugh when I read your comment. Greg Zota writes a long, rambling diatriabe against Muslims and you praise him for “summing it up”. That was a good one! There are too many places where his arguments fail so, for the sake of brevity, I will pick a few.

Zota states that, “Hasan once gave a jarring presentation to students in which he argued the war on terrorism was a war against Islam”. It isn’t? What is it then? People like Zota and others posting on this site clearly want a holy war and have endorsed it either directly or indirectly. Most of his comments are anti-Muslim and inflamitory. He asks, “Are Muslims infiltrating America to destroy it from within”? Is this a retorical question? What do you propose that we do? Ban the Islamic faith in the United States? Round up and deport all Muslims? Where are you going to send them? There are between 4-6 million Muslims in America out of a population of 304 million (that is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1-2%). How are they going to take over and institute Sharia Law? The idea is moronic and a paranoid delusion.

He likes to quote bin Laden but ignores bin Laden’s reasoning for the 9-11 attack. Bin Laden stated two factors and neither one was about “destroying the Western civilization from within” or “Islamizing democracy”. It was because of our military presence in Saudi Arabia and our continuing support of Israel and its suppression of Palestinians. In short, they are over here because we are over there. There is a holy war going on out there but it is WITHIN Islam and not WITH Islam. There is a large segment of the Islamic community that wants to modernize and become more secular while retaining their Islamic faith (represented by such nations as Turkey, Jordan, Indonesia, and Egypt) while there is a sizable, vocal, and dangerous minority who wants to revert to a more conservative, traditional form of government (like the Islamic Brotherhood, the Taliban, and al Qaeda). Bin Laden, in fact, hated Sadam and welcomed our intervention in Iraq as a mechanism for him to drum up support against the more modernists. We took out one of his enemies while giving him a prime recruiting tool. Staying over there (and in Afghanistan) may make things worse rather than better. This is their fight; let them fight it.

The reason that the President and the “main stream” media urge caution and do not stress Hasan’s religion is because they are concerned about the backlash from ignorant idiots who are likely to go out to “even the score” by attacking innocent Muslims in the community. The mosque in Maryland that Hasan attended has already received death threats. This happened after 9-11 and in one case a dope murdered someone he thought was a Muslim only to find out later that the victim was Hindi. Ooops!

Why exactly DOES Chris (Botox Man) Matthews even have guests on his show. He asks a question, then gives an answer, then asks another question, goes into a long diatribe about his answer, and the guests are sitting there the whole time and maybe get in one or two sentences. These “interviewers” are so in love with themselves and hearing themselves talk. Sympatico with another famous narcissist we have all come to despise.

Of course, a guest might as well make some bucks for sitting there doing absolutely nothing while Chris blabs away.

It seems to me that this is a classic example of what will HAVE to happen with the recent passing of the hate crimes legislation. Only I have the tendency to believe that there won’t be nearly so much second guessing about a person’s motive if a violent crime has been carried out against someone the MSM backs. But, God forbid if it is one of their protected ones who commit a hate crime. That being said, this was much more than a hate crime, this was terrorism and Chris Matthews just can’t stand the thought of actually having to call a spade a spade.
