THE TEACHABLE MOMENT   July 28th, 2009 - 9:34 pm

It was unfortunate that this issue with Sgt. Crowley and professor Gates ever had to arise, however, the fact that Ms. King now sees Obama in the light that he truly represents, we can only hope that millions of other Americans who voted for Obama will also see the light and embrace this teachable moment before they run head first into the oncoming freight train speeding straight at them.

SO-CALLED PRESIDENT CANNOT APOLOGIZE   July 28th, 2009 - 9:35 pm

HE IS AN ANTI-AMERICAN MUSLIM POS!

Barack 'em Sock 'em Robots   July 28th, 2009 - 9:56 pm

Looks like ol’ tingles got spanked. Tough to argue with logic.

rob   July 28th, 2009 - 10:00 pm

Chris Matthews is obese and a self-aggrandizing, smug SOB. Along with rachel Madcow, Mr. Ed, and Keith the complete idiot olberman Messnbc (aka msnbc)continues to show what an assinine station this is. Matthews is such a ‘rug’ , a bathroom rug, for obama to most lying, hypocritical president with the exception of most of the ruthless dictators from Africa.

Niles Lesh   July 28th, 2009 - 10:10 pm

No person or member of government is above the inalienable rights of a human being. That is the basic principle of any republic

Obama involving the office of the POTUS in a minor domestic affair is a bit of a concern, because of all the new powers the POTUS has been granted
since 2001

Introducing legislation sets a precident for protecting the basic principles of human rights

DDuke   July 28th, 2009 - 10:14 pm

This cop Crowley said he voted for NoMoBama. Don’t feel sorry for him, he got what he asked for. What cop in their right mind would vote for a socialist, racist halfrican.

Eddie   July 28th, 2009 - 10:18 pm

No, he doesn’t need to apologize. Just continue to belittle anyone whom he chooses. It’s par for the course for him and Pelosi and Boxer from what I’ve seen. By the way, Chris Matthews is a pompous a**hole. Just my opinion.

Trent   July 28th, 2009 - 10:24 pm

Will Chris ever remove that frog from his throat.

Barry Hussein Obama   July 28th, 2009 - 10:40 pm

Chris Matthews you feminized little bitch…STFU

Dave, Tn   July 28th, 2009 - 10:52 pm

Hey you gotta give ole Chrissy credit for one thing. He didn’t accuse McCotter of being motivated by racism. See those better than anyone else race baiting white liberals in New York like to save that blanket accusation for people of a certain region and McCotter is from Michigan.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   July 28th, 2009 - 11:08 pm

America…thank goodness that there are those with backbones in government!

Congratulations to House Rep McCotter for standing up and speaking out for all police officers across our nation and for Americans who feel that they have been denegrated by the ‘racist’ remarks of their “so called” leader in our White House!

Don’t let Matthews wrangle you…afterall he is in love with Bilderberg Bush-Obama and he is going to defend him to the death!

America…get on your phones and email and congratulate McCotter (R-MI) for standing up for America!

B. Obama   July 28th, 2009 - 11:09 pm

Tingles just does not get it. All he sees is that it is his job to protect Obama, no matter what!

Rob   July 28th, 2009 - 11:39 pm

DDuke no Crowley did not vote for him, that was the female officer that spoke out on his behalf.

I wonder if I have an argument with the local law enforcement if I’ll get an invite to the White House so that the President can mediate a discussion between us. /sarcasm

Obama has no business interfering with local domestic issues such as this. He has set a clear record of meddling where his friends are involved, let’s reference the firing of the inspector general of Americorp after investigating Obamas friend and finding him guilty of misuse of public funds.

cecil91   July 29th, 2009 - 12:14 am

LOL! ‘Ol “Tingles” tried to get to the congressman but didn’t work. Sorry Tingles–you waste of skin.

loret   July 29th, 2009 - 12:22 am

Great job Thad!

RUKidding   July 29th, 2009 - 12:30 am

Isn’t he articulate and well-spoken? I’m referring to Rep. McCotter, of course. Not one “uh”, and all without assistance from a teleprompter.

marti   July 29th, 2009 - 1:29 am

So sad that we have this kind of president for 3 1/2 more years – makes me feel sick that so many uninformed people voted for him, but are sorry now – TOO LATE!

LiberalGuy   July 29th, 2009 - 2:11 am

These right wing whack jobs are a bunch of morons. I wish all these slime republicans would move to Texas and secede from the US. This country would be way better of without these right wing morons. Just leave already!

Wise Latina   July 29th, 2009 - 2:14 am

Poor republicans, they’re so upset and miserable that a black man is in charge of the country. What a bunch of hate filled racist bigots these right wingers are. Too bad, so sad.

Harvard Prof Gates Is Half-Irish, Related to Cop Who Arrested Him
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=8195564&page=1

Now another twist…

cgray   July 29th, 2009 - 2:59 am

Hey Wise Latina–Let me guess, welfare queen with six kids by six different fathers? You probably think Barry is going to make you a millionaire, right? Whitey is the one who’s been holding you down, right? None of your failures in life have anything to do with your total lack of work ethic, right? Have another taco wise latina lardass.

RogerCfromSD   July 29th, 2009 - 3:49 am

Apparently, Obama considers himself to big to apologize for his inappropriate comments regarding this situation.

He did abuse his position, and in doing so, has not only impugned a private citizen and an agency, but he also created a racial rift on National television.

This Beer Picnic is just the pansy-ass sort of public relations I’d expect from a metrosexual narcissist. A real man would apologize publicly, admit he was wrong, and acknowledge his words were prejudicial at their core.

As to Wise Latina’s post: You are a self-deluding, racist piece of garbage.

Monica   July 29th, 2009 - 5:54 am

Man up and apologize D*ck head! If he hadn’t opened his big black yaw, he wouldn’t be in this position. So, keep your stupid *ss mouth shut if you know NOTHING about it.

tom genin   July 29th, 2009 - 6:11 am

Obama’s beer invite to the whitehouse isn’t to make up to Crowley, but to try to stop Crowley from suing Gates for defamation. That would draw this out til the next election. Obama is just trying to undo exposing his true feelings about cops and whitey.

Trent   July 29th, 2009 - 7:28 am

(wise latina) or Dumb latina, you make the call

polegirl   July 29th, 2009 - 7:59 am

It’s so clear that Chris Matthews hates America

H2K   July 29th, 2009 - 8:46 am

If there were more Thaddeus McCotter’s, conservatives would be in the majority and we’d have a safe country, a great economy, full employment, and a robust healthcare system.
Instead, our country has a sluggish economy, more racial polarization, a congress and senate that don’t represent the people, and an incredibly inexperienced president who meddles in issues to which he has no business.
Poor Chrissy. He and the other miscreants on MSNBC will never have McCotter on again! Logic always exposes ideology.

CommonSense   July 29th, 2009 - 8:58 am

Just as stupid as the resolution about mentioning the possible fraud of Barry Sortero being born in Hawaii.
If The Messiah would just show his historical docs this would all end. Barry is hiding.

Bill Clinton   July 29th, 2009 - 9:16 am

Monica, is that you? I see you’re using your head again!

Barry Bonds   July 29th, 2009 - 9:17 am

If you think Crowley whos case was DROPPED has any chance of suing the good doctor you’re obviously smoking CRACK!

Norm   July 29th, 2009 - 9:18 am

So Skip is a Irishman. Now we know what the trouble was – Skip hasn’t had a day sober since 1978.

Skip was going through customs in Dublin Airport when asked to identify a bottle in his luggage. “That’s Holy Water from St. Paddy’s in New York,” says Skip. The customs guy takes a sniff and says,”It smells like whiskey.” “Isn’t that fantastic” says Skip, “another bloody miracle.”

Skip, the next time you lose your key and have to break into the house, don’t kick in the front door. Go down the chimney instead. It’ll never be a problem for a friendly little leprechaun like yourself.

jdg   July 29th, 2009 - 10:29 am

Usually when the bottom feeders like “wise” Latina make comments in calling anyone racist is because they can’t argue the facts of the story. So instead of putting up an intelligent retort you get the usual dumb ass comments like “racist” or “black man president” bullshit. The point is, is the the left has been feverously trying to keep race a factor in almost every political issue they fight for. They have been dupping minorities for so long now and so successfully, that people like “Wise Latina” have been unable to think for themselves probably from birth. Their whole unbringing is based on lies. “Your underprivaleged becuase your color is this”… “white people are automatically racists and want to keep you down.” Funny thing is is that we are talking about a Harvard Professor and the “US President” who just happen to be black and obviously still play the race bait card because they are what? Underprivaleged? My family came here from Europe in the late 1800’s and had nothing. Came from nothing and worked all day for practically nothing. Survived the depression and raised families from nothing. Had to scrap and starve when there was no work but took no hand outs from strangers. They survived because of a tight family bond. Not government. Oh and they came here legally too. Everyone did. Personal responsibility is no longer a defining trait of at least half of the people in this country. Until that makes a resurgence we are heading straight back into the same BS my great grand parents came to this country to avoid in the first place. Intrusive government and rationed liberties. Who can guess who said this? “Liberty is prescious, so precious it must be rationed.”? That is exactly what the left believes. If you believe that it is the governments role to ration libety, then you dont understand our founding principles to begin with and probably should find your utopia elsewhere.

arkansas man   July 29th, 2009 - 11:03 am

I BELIEVE OLD CHRISSY WISHES HE WAS BLAC AND MIKA ON GOOD MORNING JOE I THINK SHE HAS JUNGLE FEVER FOR OBAMA AND THEM BLACKS GUYS ON TV WITH HER EVERY MORNING WISH MSNBC WOULD GET SOME REAL WOMEN ON THERE LIKE FOX NEWS THEY GOT SOME REAL PRETTY WOMEN AND BY THE WAY THEY ARE ALL LADIES TOO I GUESS THAT MADOW TWIRK IS THE BEST MSNBC CAN GET

kmichaels   July 29th, 2009 - 11:18 am

Tingly legged Chrissy is ready to pounce on this guy that is attacking his messiah. Poor old matthews just does not get why anyone would have anything against Obama. Matthews is one serious presidential suck up and he will not be able to think clearly while his head is so firmly implanted up Obama’s behind. Matthews was accurage one time, when he correctly announced that he saw his job as to be to help Obama.

kmichaels   July 29th, 2009 - 11:26 am

Barry Bonds knows a lot about smoking crack. However, he knows nothing about coming up with a logical argument. This is the result of his anti-white racist attitude. He is too anxious to condemn and does not bother thinking first. Blind racism as is found in Barry Bonds and other posters ends up making people look really stupid. Matthews has blind bias against conservatives and you can see that anger building up in his face because he is talking to someone he considers his enemy. Poor Chrissy has such low ratings he does not know what to do. Obama is historically a racist and a socialist and one has to wonder what that moron ever made it to a leadership position. However once you see the dopes like Matthews in the MSM you can understand why so many Americans are suckered into a view that they would not normally have if some honest reporting actually took place.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   July 29th, 2009 - 12:06 pm

America…just sent a thank you email to House Rep McCotter to thank him for his courage in standing up for police officers around the nation who were dissed by the racist remarks of Bilderberg Bush-Obama.

Let’s take the time to do this for each and every one of them who has the courage to stand up and make a difference.

By the way…I did ask him to request the “original” birth certificate!

Crowley lied in his report!!!   July 29th, 2009 - 12:12 pm

Will McCotter now support a resolution calling upon Sgt. Crowley and his fellow officer’s to apologize for putting false statements in an official police report? The 911 tapes have been released and Crowley has a bit of splaining to do.

Can you handle the truth   July 29th, 2009 - 12:23 pm

When Obama said he should have calibrated his comments. That is all the apology that Crowley will be getting.Gates should not have been arrested in the first place. It is not against the law to yell at the police. That’s why the charges were dropped.Obama should not have waded in.Gates should have kept quite.Racial profiling is real.If Gates thought he was mistreatment,he should have sued later.Crowley should have walked away after it was established that Gates was the home owner.Nobody knows what really happen but the two of them. However,I find this disturbing.

Goggle 911 call and police report differ in arrest of scholar.

This Forum caters to a certain demographic group. The racism you see is your own.Wise Latino is right but I still believe that most people in this country want to live in harmony with each.

It’s people of your ilk on this forum that still believes that you are living in the 1950s.
When somebody post something you don’t like you want to attack them with third grade name calling.I could care less about you bigots. You can kiss my black azz.

Observantminority   July 29th, 2009 - 12:47 pm

Hey McCotter!!!

The 911 caller has issued a statement through her attorney:

[B]Attorney Wendy Murphy also categorically rejected part of the police report that said her client, Lucia Whalen, talked with Sgt. James Crowley, the arresting officer, at the scene.

“Let me be clear: She never had a conversation with Sgt. Crowley at the scene,” Murphy said. “And she never said to any police officer or to anybody ‘two black men.’ She never used the word ‘black.’ Period.”[b]

McCotter you and your opportunistic right-wing horde need to apologize and ask Sgt. Crowley to do the same.

CommonSense   July 29th, 2009 - 12:58 pm

Observantminority – more like BITTERMINORITY.
The only lesson with all of this is that perhaps white people know how to conduct themselves better than minorities.

RRR   July 29th, 2009 - 1:14 pm

Every narcissistic three-year-old needs experience humility by learning the necessity of apologizing for a wrong they have committed; it is one of the most powerful acts of humility. They need to learn they are not “the most important being” in their world.

The pathological narcissist in the White House obviously never had that “teachable moment”!

LETTER FOR OUR LEGISLATORS; PASS IT ON   July 29th, 2009 - 3:33 pm

Dear Legislator,

I am completely against the current ram-rodding through Congress of
two very significant pieces of legislation: healthcare reform and
energy/carbon reduction. I urge you to VOTE NO on both Bills. These
issues are too important to be rushed through without a thorough
discussion in the public realm, with input from American taxpayers.
We need to get it RIGHT, not just get it done! Additionally, both of
these bills are way too complex, expensive, with too much pork,
especially the energy/carbon bill).

1. On healthcare: We don´t need everybody in the country on
Medicare! We must preserve private enterprise and try to reduce
taxes, not increase them. And please: no illegal aliens on my tax
nickel! Finally, any provision that would take benefits away from our
SENIOR CITIZENS in order to try to finance this Health Bill must be
removed, and any “END OF LIFE” COUNSELING that would try to pressure
SENIORS into foregoing health treatment must be not only removed but
strongly CONDEMNED. This Bill is a legislative nightmare that must
not pass.

2. On energy/carbon: Where are the nuclear power plants, the obvious
low-hanging fruit? Nuclear is not the dangerous proposition it
perhaps once was (look at France, et al.). As for carbon trading:
From what I can see, it is not working in Europe (Scientific
American). Also, the major emerging markets (China, India, etc.) are
not going to participate any time soon. Further, WHY PENALIZE
HOMEOWNERS, many of whom are under-water with diminishing home
values, with a scheme to force them to upgrade their houses before
they can put them on the market for sale? This Bill is ill-conceived.

Your response to the above will determine whether you will be removed
or voted back into office next time around.

Thank you for your time in reading my concerns,

Sincerely,

An Irate Taxpayer-American-Voter

What’s the difference between Bigfoot and serious journalism on MSNBC?
People claim to have seen Bigfoot.

TINGLY   July 29th, 2009 - 9:34 pm

Chris Matthews is another ’self-loathing, spineless, guilty white sissy disgrace’ to PA> We prove it at IDIOTSFOROBAMA COM

zacal   July 29th, 2009 - 10:31 pm

McCotter is a terrific debater and adapts well to the various television formats he’s appeared on.(including the irreverent “Red Eye”) He’s smart, quick, knowledgeable and grounded. Definitely a political star on the rise.

Johnny   July 30th, 2009 - 2:06 am

Matthews is a joke. He should be selling sham-wows at your local county fair. He has no journalistic credibility and drags this joke of a “profession” down on a daily basis. The “press” is dead; the 1st Amendment rights granted to them no longer apply since they have failed to live up to the unwritten responsibility of being an impartial voice to present the facts to the people of this country. If you see Matthews, kick him where his nuts should be for me.

Dave   July 30th, 2009 - 10:13 am

The tingle is obviously still running up Matthews’ leg.

Vink   July 30th, 2009 - 12:33 pm

I wonder if ol’ Tingle Legs Matthews tea-bags Anderson Cooper during their free time? Or maybe, Rachel Maddow tea-bags Olbermann…

peter c   July 30th, 2009 - 1:35 pm

I despise Matthews and everyone else at MSNBC….Don’t forget Matthews said that it will HIS JOB to make sure the Messiah succeeds at everything the Messiah wants to do…not to report the truth…But to be a Mouthpiece attacks dog…a lying attack dog for Obama.
Matthews even tried to say Gates NEVER said “Your Momma” to Crowley!! Unbelievable!!!

Matthews is just another Fallen Catholic who wants to pull everyone else down to hell with him,…This is why MSNBC is get lower and lower in ratings…all they do is LIE,and throw out Hate at everyone who disagrees with them…Just as the Socialist Racist Obama does.
Matthews should be in prison for treason and hate speech along with Olbermann and Maddow anyway…Ignore these lying Creeps…Cancel MSNBC. And then in 2010 and 2012 vote evry Liberal Dem out of office if you want to stop these Godless Communists.

Eileen   August 3rd, 2009 - 10:16 am

I agree with Senator McCotter…you need to look at what the president has done in the past. Remember “Joe the Plumber”… Joe Wurzelbacher…
Helen Jones-Kelley was an Obama supporter who worked on the campaign in Ohio…
Department head Helen Jones-Kelley resigned after a state inspector general’s report concluded the searches were “a wrongful act” that served “no legitimate agency function.” Two of her top aides also lost their jobs. The controversy prompted Ohio’s legislature to pass a law that makes it a firing offense for state officials to abuse their authority by unnecessarily searching private records.

“You shouldn’t have to regret asking a reasonable question in a public forum of a presidential candidate,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said at a news conference. “This attack on Joe the Plumber has a chilling effect on not only his First Amendment rights, but on the First Amendment rights of all.”

Wurzelbacher said he doesn’t regret questioning Obama when the candidate appeared on his street last October, although he has regretted the aftermath.

“It shows that there’s a problem that elected officials believe they can slam a regular civilian whenever they feel like it if they ask a question that embarrasses them or catches them off guard,” Wurzelbacher said. “That’s not the way it works.”
Now it Sgt. Crowley…Obama doesn’t like how he is doing his job…so he goes after him. The only reason why Obama stopped his attack on Crowley is because he realized he wasn’t getting away with it. He got away with so much garbage during the campaign he thought he was untouchable.

Tom Wyant   August 3rd, 2009 - 1:01 pm

I am sure Chris Matthews impressed ALL 18 of his viewers! What a idiot. He got spanked!

John   August 3rd, 2009 - 1:02 pm

I can’t beleive that Chris Matthews hasn’t landed a cabinet position yet. I guess he must be current on his taxes.

Chris Matthews is an idiot. MSNBC edited the video so as NOT to show Barry saying he wasn’t there and didn’t know what happened.
