Most of us can feel that the pucker factor is off the chart and the FED is burning the bearings out on the presses that print their notes. We no longer have a manufacturing base to generate the GDP necessary to keep things afloat and the vicious circle of our service economy is heading toward the bottom of the bowl. Anyone been to a store lately and noticed that the workers outnumber the customers 10 to 1. Taxes can only make things worse and we have already sold our souls (and several generations down the line) to any country foolish enough to lend us more money.
The last round of “vote them out” didn’t really change much because the heart of the problem is still there. Democrat or Republican, Right or Left, the choices we have are not usually worthy of our votes. The only way to initiate any REAL CHANGE is through MASSIVE well organized demonstrations that even our tightly reigned-in and diversionary media can’t ignore. Are your pockets getting filled with the tax-backed bonuses that our REPRESENTATIVES forked over when they fleeced us? Geitner and Bernanke when asked said they don’t even know where all the money went. (Nor Do They Care!)
The arguments around Health Care are a good place to demonstrate the value of Town Hall Meetings and MIGHT get the attention of those in congress who really care but you can tell from the very issue that started this blog that WE don’t have any control. This fight is about the greed that has infested the our once great country and OUR inability to control our own future.

Have you all considered that there may have been a legitimate reason for this? Usually the reason why events like this are restricted is because of logistical concerns. If everyone who was interested in this legislation was allowed to attend, the crowd would have been too large for the venue and Capitol police weren’t prepared to handle that sort of crowd for such an event.
The video doesn’t even tell us who this supposed reporter is. He could have been just some guy without any media credentials. Perhaps he does have them and he missed the RSVP deadline. There can be multitudes of valid reasons for this. You shouldn’t be so quick to jump on the government-conspiracy-to-kill-American-freedoms bandwagon. The mere fact that we’re citizens doesn’t entitle us to go anywhere we want. In fact, the smooth functioning of government and society dictates that we can’t.
Me? I had a front row seat to this event, unedited and without commentary, on C-SPAN.
