I am not interested in her being the first lady. If this is the first time, she must be blind to all the good in this country. Just because we voted for her husband, (not because he is black), she thinks we have seen the light. She needs to open her eyes, this country was great and something to be proud of before Obama wanted to be President in 08.

So when did she become an ‘adult’? Last month?

Although there are many things we can point to that the USA has not done ‘right’, there are many more things that we have. America is the most free, most generous, most selfless, most democratic (small d) country in the world. And that is the reason that millions of people from all around the world flock here.

For shame on Ms. B-HusseinObama that she is so selfish and narrow-minded that only if a half-black (half-baked, half-Muslim, sophomoric/sophomoronic) man is in the running is she ‘proud’.

Barack Obama has said nothing of substance that wasn’t asinine (e.g. unilaterally attack our Pakistan (an imperfect ally, but an ally nonetheless) and sit down and negotiate with Iran (an enemy who will lie to his face with a smile). Michelle Obama thinks the role of the federal gov’t is to heal the souls of the citizenry. Oh, for crying out loud, people. I’m a 29 year old white woman and this election has been the first thing that has ever made me feel really patriotic, too. America has a lot of really bad stuff in its history, especially in the way it has treated black people. They have been left OUT of most of the things that people say make this country great. It is a little unreasonable to ask people to feel terribly patriotic about a government that, until very recently in our history, was used to oppress their families. But a few months ago people were saying America was way too racist to ever elect a black president, and now those people are being proven wrong. People who never felt like their votes meant anything are going to the polls. For once, they are getting a chance to feel a sense of ownership in this country and the democratic process. It’s really wonderful, and I think it is obvious that that is what Michelle intended by her statement.

With the majority of the press in ol’bama’s back pocket, this will get little life.
