Media Conspiracy? Bloggers Knock Fox Sports Camera Angle of Obama Pitch

Big League Stew: Where did it land? Was it a strike or wasn't it? Why didn't the network choose a better camera to shoot from? Those were the questions that viewers of baseball's All-Star Game were asking themselves at home after Fox elected to show President Barack Obama's ceremonial first pitch at the 80th All-Star Game from a tight angle.

Because he throws like he bowls!

Another strike Obama said he would deliver dropped way short, just like our economy!

Throws like a girl…not surprising at all. And Pujols is standing in front of the plate and stretchig forward trying to catch it cause the big 0 couldn’t throw a ball 90 feet

jktnyc   July 15th, 2009 - 11:26 am

If “the one” spent half the time working on really dealing with our problems as opposed to craming through legislation without a debate and attending to his sports we would be a lot better off.

I thought the MuscledOne worked out EVERY DAY.

Another myth maybe?

Brad   July 15th, 2009 - 11:50 am

Does anyone know where I can get a cool pair of jeans like the president’s? He’s such a dapper dude. Ah, never mind. I’ll just get a pair from my mom’s closet.

idjk   July 15th, 2009 - 11:53 am

Did W ever open a game? I’m sure he did but I don’t remember- How did he do? where the “sport’s guy’s” making excuses for a bad throw?
Just wondering

jktny–maybe it’s best he spends even more time away from Washington- best for us taxpayers

Liberals Are Parasites   July 15th, 2009 - 12:20 pm

You liberals will whine about anything. The camera angle, give me a break.
When Bush threw out the ball at Yankee Stadium he had no problem throwing
a strike. It’s only 90 ft. for god sakes.
But this whimp can’t even get it to the plate.
Bush tries to go thru a locked door and you libs talk about it for days.
obozo trips over the threashold walking thru the door when he was in Italy
and fox news never said a word.
So don’t give me any of your crap about a camera angle.
Let’s face it, obozo is a pu$$y.

Tim   July 15th, 2009 - 12:24 pm

How anyone can brag about his pitch is beyond me…the guy throws like a girl and the ball hand an arch like a slow pitch softball pitch. What a Klutz. Atleast Bush could throw a nice ball and didn’t look like a girl while doing it.

Liberals Are Parasites   July 15th, 2009 - 12:26 pm

I stand corrected. It’s only 60′ 6” to home plate. That makes it even funnier.

elroy   July 15th, 2009 - 12:28 pm

The distance from the rubber to home plate is 60 feet 6 inches.

claspur   July 15th, 2009 - 12:38 pm

I bet his wife would’ve done better…she’s got more Big Azz power, so that’s only a given she’d do so…

*check the bombshell article on WorldnetDaily, regarding Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook. (now that’s News)

Whatwhatwhat   July 15th, 2009 - 12:43 pm

The LUNATIC RIGHT FRINGE is on the march but as usual you’ll go nowhere. It’s a FOX conspiracy to help Obama? Riiiiight. Fair and Balanced.

Pathetic.

doogle   July 15th, 2009 - 1:01 pm

Whatwhatwhat is upset because SpaghettiArm threw the ball further than Whatwhatwhat can throw it.

Oh, has anyone mentioned that BO throws like a girl? (I know, I know…only about twelve times…)

Linus Van Pelt   July 15th, 2009 - 1:03 pm

Charlie Brown can throw a better pitch.
Aaaaaargh!

Neil   July 15th, 2009 - 1:08 pm

idjk,
If you look up Bush’s pitch you’ll see it was thrown across the plate without any help from the person catching. He too had a vest on and it took place in New York a couple of weeks after September Eleventh at the third game of the World Series, not some joke inconsequential vanity game. The throw of an actual leader that was obviously very comfortable in that stadium. He also wore a NYFD jacket, not some high school rivalry Chicago jacket. Barry’s a joke at baseball, bowling, golf and most of all, the Presidency.

Get a life!   July 15th, 2009 - 1:30 pm

The right wing is truly pathetic. They use a silly ceremonial first pitch at an all star game as a metaphor for something. Obama clearly made no attempt to try to impress you morons. He simply lobed the ball to the plate with no pretense and little effort. This wasn’t some sort of goofy contest. By the way, Bush could have fired up a 100 mph fastball and he would still be the village idiot that he always was.

Whatwhatwhat   July 15th, 2009 - 1:32 pm

Yeah, you guys go no-where!!! I hate you right wingers! I hate you I hate you I hate you!
Would anybody like me to polish their knob? I’m at 95 rest stop exit 48 near Wilmington.
You know we Liberals suck the best!

Kooth-Aid Olbermann   July 15th, 2009 - 1:42 pm

As everyone from Berkeley California, and Kool Aid lushes like the “great unwashed” Janeane Garofalo know, EVERYTHING that Fox and Fox News broadcasts comes from Dick Cheney and the Bush Administration. Every word within the reports on world events, cuddly pet stories, commercials, weather, EVERYTHING is penned and vetted by Dick Cheney from his secret bunker. This is no different. It is being revealed by Keith Olbermann and Chris “Locker Room Jock Wannabe” Matthews tonight that every pitch and play in that game was scripted in advance by members of the last administration. The New York Times is planning to expose all this on the same front page that they dedicated to John McCain’s affair with one of his campaign staffers during the most critical part of the presidential campaign. Glad to see the video of this so-called pitch “conspiracy” covered on the local NBC station! Should any of us be surprised by the NBC pot calling the kettle black again?

picklepants7   July 15th, 2009 - 1:50 pm

i did notice that this is the first time obama has appeared for an interview on the fox network since being elected president.

Tyrone Robinson, Garofalo-Classified 'Redneck'   July 15th, 2009 - 1:54 pm

Kooth, I noticed that too! Has Janeane Garofalo ever been introduced to a bar of soap in her life? She is always criticizing others with her venom and her hateful speech. People like her are the reason everyone learns to become so intolerant of people they don’t agree with, because she sets such an ugly example. Has she ever looked in the mirror at herself before criticzing others with her unshuttable mouth? Not much of an example there, she ain’t all that she thinks she is, with her tiresome faux bohemian schtick that anyone except her like minded sycophants can see through! The more she opens her big mouth, the more her baseless “facts” prove she doesn’t ever know what she’s talking about.

“Get a life! July 15th, 2009 – 1:30 pm

I agree it was a simple throw. But it wasn’t a great throw YET the MSM are reporting that he practically lasered it across. Soledad Obrian(sp?) said he tossed it in ” a very manly manner”.

If its no big deal why do they feel compelled to embellish?

Tin Foil Hat Saler   July 15th, 2009 - 2:12 pm

In May 2007, the Italian National Library in Rome made an amazing discovery. Buried in their archives was an unknown manuscript written by the famed prophet Michel de Nostradame, or Nostradamus.

In the 19th Quatrain he predicted that there would be a conspiracy to hide from the viewers President Barack Obama’s ceremonial first pitch at the 80th All-Star Game.It seem that he was right.
I have Tin Foil Hats on sale this week at a 50 percent discount. All of you right wingers can place your orders here at breitbarf and I will make sure you get one.

Ecartman   July 15th, 2009 - 2:37 pm

What about his interview with Costas; for a big White Sox fan he sure is ignorant-
“I do think that there’s a different quality to what used to be Cominskey Field vs. Wrigley,” President Obama told Bob Costas during an interview that aired during Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star Game.

Cominskey Field? What an idiot. (For the limp-wristed libs out there, it’s Comiskey Park-no n in Comiskey and not “field.”) Too bad his teleprompter killed it self the other day, he could’ve used it!

bobble heads   July 15th, 2009 - 2:48 pm

Man, someone @ huff & puff must have put up this thread, because here come the lunatic fringe, mary F. @ss jordon, whutwhutwhut etc. Notice that mary F. @ss jordon is still referring to conservatives as “whack jobs.” For someone with a supposed doctoral she sure is lacking in vocabulary creativity. But then, that is what a liberal education will get you.

PhoneBill   July 15th, 2009 - 2:48 pm

The White House probably demanded the tight shot JUST IN CASE Obama doesn’t quite make a ‘pretty’ throw home. Imagine the uproar had his throw bounced a few times before making it to the catcher; Fox Sports would have been accused of setting him up for failure.

There was no way for Fox to win that argument.

SaltwaterCracker   July 15th, 2009 - 2:54 pm

As usual the loony left launch into their politics of personal destruction. It is so funny watching you azz-hats try to defend this weenie. Forget politics, this guy is a pampered mamas boy, promoted by affirmitive action until he has reached well beyond his level on incompetence. But voice any criticism of him and the left has two responses, either Bush was the dumbest\worst\most hated president or trying to kill the messenger. How can we work with such childish people? I do not say any conservatives are perfect, but when you try to discuss the issues with a libbie, well, let’s just say their arguments are as stong as Barry’s pitch, it don’t quite make the plate. So the attack the messagenger, becuase they can’t stand the message.(It says “Grow up”.)

Larse   July 15th, 2009 - 3:14 pm

This is obviously a giant major issue for the right wingnuts!!

However, a Latina woman born in Kenya might indeed have been able to throw a better pitch!! :D

Sluggo   July 15th, 2009 - 3:17 pm

>> And Pujols is standing in front of the plate and stretchig forward trying to catch it cause the big 0 couldn’t throw a ball 90 feet <<

Ah, the blind leading the blind. Again.
The distance from a pitcher’s mound to home plate is well-known: 60 feet, 6 inches.

CAMERA TRICKS   July 15th, 2009 - 3:24 pm

President Obama can’t be held accountable because he had practiced the throw for weeks with Rham Emmanuel in the WhiteHouse basement. The problem was that Barack was blowing fastballs out of his asswhole and Emmanuel was eating them. He should have tried the overhand.

Tin Foil Hatter   July 15th, 2009 - 3:50 pm

Ron Reale   July 15th, 2009 - 3:52 pm

Hey Lars, you said, “However, a Latina woman born in Kenya might indeed have been able to throw a better pitch!!”

As my beloved Colombian wife has taught me, by saying Latina, it means woman. Latino would be male. Latina woman is redundant, meaning, “spanish woman woman”.
Otherwise, right on, dude!

Just because someone doesn’t think the Prez can throw a ball doesn’t necessarily mean they are a ChiimpHater. Some people actually like the chiiimp.

That one where you posted as HIckup are what ever the hell his/her name is had me LMAO,because he/she is as racist as Sessions.

Barry Bonds   July 15th, 2009 - 7:31 pm

The Right is so petty it’s laughable. Don’t you guys have anything better to do? You act like you can’t come up with any ideas just because you got your butt kicked by the black guy with the funny name. Get over it. You can call him what you want – just make sure you call him Mr. President of The United States. Hahaha…. I think that is much better than “I know you are – but what am I,” which is the dejure Conservative response. At least on the Left we had actual REASONS to hate Bush that were developed over time. You guys have been hating Obama since inaguration or since the time he began thumping McCain. It’s not his fault he ran a better campaign and it’s not his fault you guys went with the cowboy from Texas for 8 years. You idiots set this all up and now you’re mad at us for capitalizing on it. If you guys would have done the right thing instead of chicken hawking and b.s.ing we wouldn’t be in this mess and you guys could have had Palin and McSame as your leaders.

Bobby Joe Fiesta   July 16th, 2009 - 5:03 pm

I thought it was funny that he pumped his fist like he threw a perfect strike. He didn’t even make it to the plate! Again, the loony left believed his lie. This guy needs to be impeached NOW before it’s too late!
