McCain: Holder ‘Has Obviously Botched This One Very, Very Badly’

"We look forward to your views on that because I view that clearly in your area of responsibility, not the Attorney General who has obviously botched this one very, very badly."

You were not a better choice than Obammy, McCain, you were only slightly less bad for this nation.

That said, the Obammy ‘administration’ botches everything it touches, very very badly.

kolbee123   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:28 pm

He’ll blame it on all of the coward white racists, of which, I must be one.

What ws Holder Lobbying for before he was given this job by the president

4aRepublic   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:44 pm

Holder has botched handling the fruit of kaboomer panty bomber, handling of New Black Panthers harassing voters at a polling place in Philly, wants to reward his former law firm with letting them defend terrorists in federal courts… just to name a few instances.

Steve in Phoenix   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:44 pm

Txkreddog   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:44 pm

Good Grief Death Ray, enemy combatants, tried in NY and treated as criminals instead of terrorists. BO and Holder have screwed this up, as most everything else the administration has had a hand in.

Snailmailtrucker   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:47 pm

Hey Wanda:

McCain spent 4 years in a prisoner of war camp in Vietnam….thats more than the entire Obama administration combined!

You moron!

Obama: Ich Bin Ein Beginner   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:50 pm

So will Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer respond with an Op Ed in a major paper calling McCain “un-patriotic?”

fastfacts   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:51 pm

Botched it, nothing, he was with Obama in not caring about getting this done right or doing what the people really wanted. He was more interested in getting Obama’s agenda passed. Is this too harsh… NO!

The Obama Doctrine is now being established. He has an agenda to make the whole world love America again, or maybe just himself. His doctrine is that if he panders and favors those that oppose the United States, they will stop trying to kill us. That is at least until the next President is called. He has favored terrorists, helped stop interrogations and is trying to close Gitmo, for what, so they will stop hating America, neglecting their true reasoning. This is the Obama Doctrine because he is running National Security and the Justice system off this philosophy/ideology.

Wanda…….you are not only ignorant, but you’re an idiot. John McCain has done more for this country than Osama ever will. Nobama has spent so much money that we will soon belong to the Chinese……..and there is still a recession which most economists predict will get worse because of all the spending. At least McCain will listen to ideas from all instead of thinking he is the only one that knows what to do for this country.

Really Wanda? Mccain hasn’t done much for this country? thanks for showing your ignorance

These stooges run around laying blame on some waterboarded Arab patsies, then use the strawman of a 911 showtrial in New York against the same waterboarded Arabs, when the real culprits of 911 (those who laced the elevator shafts of buildings 1, 2 and 7 with nanothermitic material- google Richard Gage and Nils Harrit) from our own blackop and foreign intelligence services (putative allies) walk completely free. And the media and government traitors play along.

What a bunch of Kibuki stooges!

What have you done other than stay out of the way ?

myron_monk   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:59 pm

McCain is so G-D clueless!!!! This is a great example of why he is despised by conservatives… and why he is not a conservative. He will not stand boldly against the left, and especially this president. A question for Mr. McCain: Who is Holder’s boss? McCain never could campaign worth a damn, and he gets so tongue-tied when he tries to make a good point. He’s an obsolete model Republican. Time to flush the detritis RINOs while we’re flushing the progressive-socialist Dem-wits out of Washington. Send them all home.

RightStuff   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:59 pm

Holder is just a typical example of the ham-handed leftist staff members in the Obama administration. McCain, although a pretty sorry example of an elected official, is correct on this one. Obama is a dope, Holder is a dope, Emanuel is a dope, Axelrod is a dope. Take my word for it. I’m wondering if all of them were youthful drug abusers and suffer from arrested maturity and other brain damage.

Vink   February 2nd, 2010 - 2:59 pm

Not a fan of John McCain – If the GOP had picked a viable candidate, we would not be living under the tyranny of Obama and his Neo-Fascist cronies this very day. That said, I believe Eric Holder is an absolute enemy of this country and should be removed from office immediately. As is most of O-bow-ma’s cabinet.

I’m guessing it’s a little more than you’ve done for your country…..and to Death Ray…are you serious?…what Holder BOTCHED was the decision of what to do with KSM…he could of done a few different things..but the choice to try him in NYC was the worst possible choice….hence he “BOTCHED” the decision…got it?…now WAKE-UP!…these clowns in the White House are clueless…..

Red in Denver   February 2nd, 2010 - 3:07 pm

Good grief!

For those of you who made one-liner statements about McCain, such as: ‘….has not done much for this country’ …. or that he was “….not a better choice than Obammy….” —

I do not know on what facts you are basing your opinion. You can look at McCain’s service to his country, both in the military, then in the Senate, and easily come to the conclusion that he HAS done quite a lot for this country and WOULD have been a better candidate than Obama, who did not serve in our military, and whose only claim to fame was his activity as a community organizer, and his commitment to Rev. Wright’s church for a number of years.

terminu   February 2nd, 2010 - 3:07 pm

Well Obammy is pro-terrorist afterall.

Obama: Freeing and Funding Terrorists Worldwide, Returning them to the Battlefield to Kill more Americans is Goal #1!

That $1billion he gave to Hamas is being reaped in living room rocket launchers all across the Gaza strip.

But McCain, hero or no, you too were not a natural born citizen born in Panama, which is why Obama helped you in cosponsoring SR511 to get you as his opponent, so you would not question the fact that British citizen Obama is also not a natural born citizen. You both are statutory US citizens, and no statutory US citizen can ever be a natural born citizen…see that’s what “natural born” means, no other option, born in-country to 2 US citizen parents, the child has no other nation ties.
McCain has citizenship ties to Panama, Obama is still a British citizen to this day. A natural born citizen is born purely and ONLY a US citizen.

Jenny   February 2nd, 2010 - 3:09 pm

Not a big McCain fan, but he’s correct on this one if he’s referring to Holder jumping the gun on picking NYC for the trial. All the big cities are broke. Can you even begin to imagine the money it would take to secure the city for this trial? Holder should have done more thinking and research, not many cities in the US have the dollars to support anything extra. Many cities have cut all extras, put staff on unpaid furloughs, and are holding their breath, hoping the economy picks up.

Mike   February 2nd, 2010 - 3:15 pm

Wanda, your post shows a lack of knowlege of Senator McCains personal history and the history of this nation. Senator McCain has given his life to serving this nation, some years of that life in great physical and mental pain.
Death Ray, context? have you been on sabbatical from the news this past year?

Rebecca   February 2nd, 2010 - 3:15 pm

To explain, Wanda and Death Ray, Holder has botched the handling of adjudicating terrorists. It is OUTRAGEOUS to give enemy combatants Habius Corpus. There is NO official document, set of rules, legislation, right or statute that allows for this. IT’S WRONG, PERIOD. Military tribunal is where these monsters should be tried. Guantanamo is where they should be housed. Bringing these sick, twisted barbarians into our country is a REALLY bad idea, too. Last two things. Eric Holder said that we are cowards when it comes to race. He’s obviously been in a coma for the last 40 years because we’ve talked about race until we’re purple in the face. We need to STOP talking about it so that we can allow people to live their lives. Lastly, Eric Holder refused to prosecute those black panther thugs who stood in front of a polling place in PA wearing para-military gear and wielding night sticks. Think a couple of white guys could get away with that?? NOT. So, Eric Holder is unfit for office. His judgment is very poor and his racism is quite obvious. He needs to go.

McCain showed that the qualities he showed when he was in the army and captured and also to an extent as senator, as being moderate in his views an somewhat non partisan, he totally gave up when he ran for President. He pussied out by accepting a nutcase as his VP candidate, he abandoned talking about his moderate views on abortion, gay marriage etc. To me he showed that the guy that I could sort of relate to as Senator he was willing to abandon when he ran for president.
McCain is a dinosaur

Walter Rego   February 2nd, 2010 - 3:26 pm

I think Holder is really Oprah’s boyfriend Steadman.
Holder is former AG Janet Reno toady and hard core leftist and

Wanda: You’ll do anything, smear anyone to cover for your boy Obama. Most of the crap he has put into the White House is from his ‘hood’ and their incompetence is beyond belief. The only thing he and Holder care about is padding the government with affirmative action losers and trashing America and whites whenever and wherever he can.
That, however, is coming to a crashing end and it’ll be a long time before you see that poor quality in the White House again, if ever.
He’s plunged ahead with his grand scheme to destroy America and the white majority (yeah, call it racist if you like..I really don’t care) in this country. It’s time to call his actions out for what they are.

Yes, Senator McCain, Holder has botched his job very, very badly. He is a proven enemy of our Bill of Rights, so it comes as no surprise to us Constitutionalists. Trouble is, Senator, you were warned of that before he was confirmed. And yet, you still voted to confirm him, using your usual mealy-mouthed, “elections have consequences” excuse. So, what that means is that YOU have botched YOUR job, and failed to uphold the oath of YOUR office. YOU Senator, have botched this one very, very badly.

For a guy who intentionally threw the last Presidential election and put the nation in today’s peril he can’t make amends now by sounding off like he’s returned from the Dark Side. Too much water over the dam the last 8 years. When the tax cuts expire this year and you get a surprise tax increase blame McCain. He voted against making them permanent. He voted to confirm Eric Holder for AG when he knew from the Clinton Administration what Holder’s track record was. It’s his fault Holder is the AG and is now giving terrorists US citizen rights. The only reason McCain wanted to become President is because he was McCain. No other reason. He was going to do everything Obama is doing to include taxing so called private Cadillac health care plans that Obama said was a bad idea and wrong. McCain, of Keating 5 scandal fame, with years of practice learned to be a more honest crook than Obama but not as slick. McCain is no conservative and no friend of the American people.

NOQTR4TR8RS   February 2nd, 2010 - 4:04 pm

Yes, Senator McCain, Holder has botched his job. He is obviously corrupt, and is a proven enemy to our Bill of Rights. Trouble is, you were warned of this before he was confirmed as AG. But you voted to confirm him anyway, offering your typical mealy-mouthed “elections have consequences” excuse. You have failed to uphold your oath to defend the Constitution by knowingly voting to confirm a man whom you knew to be openly hostile to it. So Senator, this means that YOU have botched YOUR job, very very badly, and are no less guilty than Holder himself.

NJ Pete   February 2nd, 2010 - 4:04 pm

temple62   February 2nd, 2010 - 4:06 pm

During Bubba Clinton’s reign of deceit, Holder was involved in the last-minute pardon of fugitive and Democratic contributor Marc Rich. Holder gave Clinton a “neutral, leaning towards favorable” opinion of the pardon. As a foot soldier for the regime, he acted as if he was simply following orders, right or wrong. This is exactly what he has done as Attorney General, followed Obama’s orders, right but usually wrong! I wonder if Bubba still has the “gold saxophone”.

Harnes   February 2nd, 2010 - 4:11 pm

The World will never love America. Doubt me – try visiting the UN when the General Assembly is in session. Just go there, sit down and pug in the earphones that provide translations of what the speakers are saying. There is a reason that the U.S. Media rarely covers the UN. If they reported what was being said about the US – well, the American people would demand that the US, which pays 25 percent of the UN bills, is abandoned as a waste of time and money.

As for terrorists – they are fighting a non traditional war against the US and the civilian population. By international law such partisans and spys who refuse to wear military uniforms can be executed. Civilian trials are ridiculous. Our own soldiers are subject to military courts and I believe that is the best way of handling these foreign terrorists.

Wanda   February 2nd, 2010 - 4:12 pm

As for Holder I think hes just trying to make a name for himself I dont agree with them taking those terrorist to court , they even said that they dont plane on finding them inocent …. so why do the trials other than make a big circuse out of the whole thing , I think they should leave them all to rot in GITMO .

brian   February 2nd, 2010 - 4:14 pm

McCain knows better than to think that we could just wash away the legal nightmare that the Bush administration created when they trashed the constitution and started torturing alleged terrorists…

I should amend my last sentence. According to the PC thought police on the right, we now have to call torture: “the enhanced interrigation of enemy combatants”…war is peace…freedom is slavery…torture is enhanced interrogation…

As long as you are born on US military soil overseas (i.e., a base such as Okinawa, Aviano, etc.), you are considered to have been born on US soil, and therefore a naturalized citizen. My eldest sister was born on an Army base in Italy, but only has one citizenship status – natural-born U.S.

I also think the whole trials in new york are a joke I think holder just wants to make a name for himself off of gov. money.
They even said they wont find them inocent so why do these fake trials anyway .
They need to take them back to GITMO and let them all rot .
