I don’t recall the Senator stepping up to the plate to defend her when his campaign staff were throwing her under the bus.

This just shows how petty and stupid that this woman really is. McCain was being gracious. Everyone knows that she is a twit and doesn’t know much of anything about any subject except promoting Sarah. The difference is that the far right doesn’t seem to care. They keep saying that she is smart as if repeating that mantra makes it so. It doesn’t.
Stick to signing books for the Gomers, dear, and counting your money. Leave politics to those who know something. If not, then conservatives and the GOP as sure to lose badly. The far right may love you but no one else does.

McCain couldn’t say anything else and he knows it. If he attacks Palin (and this goes for any Republicans that attack Palin that are in office currently), they are shooting themselves in the foot for 2010. Palin is backed by much of the conservative base. These pansy moderate Republican career politicians may be arrogant, but they know they cannot win without that base. He’s posing and we need to show him the door just like the rest of the career politicians. Term limits is what this country needs.
