There are photos of him heavily gray, then his hair becomes very black for public speeches. If there really is a birth record issue, perhaps it is he was born prior to Aug 21, 1959 when Hawaii came into statehood? I dont know what the standards were for births in Hawaii prior to 1959 when it wasnt part of the U.S.. ? Would that change anything? Probably not, we are stuck either way.

I’m not really shocked by this. Here’s why. There have been a multitude of lawsuits filed challenging Obama’s eligibility to be president, beginning early in 2008. I have investigated all of them and have read the court filings on the latter, more prominent cases. It has been speculated in all of these cases that Obama never attended Columbia Univ. and that his education was paid for by a muslim operative from Saudi Arabia. It’s speculation, because none of the evidence to support this has been heard in a court of law. On Obama’s first day in office, he sealed all records of his past, and it will require a subpoena from a Federal Judge (and a couple of Marines) to get it. As for Columbia Univ., there are no records to subpoena, he was never there.
This clown has chances! If the best he can do is identify with the idiot fringe (Birthers) of the GOP he’ll be lucky to get half of McCain’s votes.

Also, To John Bennett: The printings in the newspaper about his birth were generated automatically whenever a COLB was produced in Hawaii. It in NO WAY shows that he was actually born there. It only shows that a COLB was issued. These were listed and then printed in local papers. Only the ORIGINAL document shows the physician and nurses and hospital. It is well known that C’sOLB were issued for children who were not born in Hawaii during that time. The only thing that a COLB proves is that he was presented alive to a records clerk who could issue the document. The point is that ANY government official HAS to provide these records as a qualification. It’s like me going to the MVA to get my liscense and not taking the test. Then I go to the clerk and show them a note from a police officer that I actually took the test and passed. I can’t do that and our government officals CERTAINLY can not. They are not above the law and the people.

What he should have done is say: “This isn’t the top of my list of things that are important, but it would get a lot of people off his back if he would simply show the certificate and not the live birth certificate and get it over with. Yes he had the governor of Hawaii see it, but people don’t trust politicians, let alone those that have much to gain from the popularity.” This could have settled the matter and both sides would have been happy plus he would have shown the importance of getting corrupt politicans out of office.

I read somewhere that it might be quite likely the only thing he’s trying to hide is that he was born out of wedlock. I could see that but I would think that would be a badge of honor given the people he represents.

A ‘Natural Born Citizen’ is a specific requirement to be POTUS. A NBC = **2** American citizen parents, born in America. You’re confusing ‘citizen’ with ‘natural born citizen.’ They are very different. All natural born citizens are indeed citizens however, not all citizens are natural born. Think about it before you dismiss this argument.
Next, I don’t care if Obama was born in my bathtub; if his father is who he says he is, Obama Sr. was not, and never was, an American citizen.
So, no matter where he was born, it’s daddy’s citizenship that makes him ineligible. This dude is a fraud and a usurper and should be removed.

If there was nothing to it, he would produce a birth certificate and allow the release of all other relevant documents. I think I know what you meant by saying “…badge of honor given the people he represents.” But I’m not black. And supposedly he’s representing ALL the American people. I have yet to call him my president. I did not vote for him, and I don’t believe he’s legit. Having said that, I love my country much more than I can’t stand him. So I really wasn’t looking forward to him failing as grossly as he’s been doing.

I had to show my long form birth cert to get into the military. I had to provide my college transcripts proving I had the course work and degree to get several jobs including civil service. If I can why the heck can’t odumbo? Why is is I still have people who remember me from High School but nobody seems to remember Barry at Columbia? I was wondering about this whole birth certificate debacle I’ve never seen George Bush’s, Bill Clinton’s, or Ronald Reagan’s birth certificate if anyone one of ya’ll can send one my way I’ll gladly accept it but for now I’m questioning are past Presidents legitimacy because I have not seen a single birth certificate from neither one of them. What if Ronald Reagan was born in Russia or George Bush from Mexico.

I am not concerned about his birth certificate. I am concerned about 1)his loss of US citizenship when his step-father adopted him and 2) the legal definition of “natural born citizen” doesn’t appear to apply to him because his father was a British citizen and his mother wasn’t old enough to confer citizenship to him. I may have missed it, but I don’t see anything on these two issues.

Thomas, this is all an issue of Legality. They are not referring to a “birth certificate”. It’s not difficult to get a fraudulent one anywhere in the world just as it’s not difficult to get a fake passport; if you know the wrong people and have the money.
What everyone is requesting is the LONG FORM CERT. which is verified by the doctor who delivered the baby. It also gives detailed statistical data that
can be verified.
And Obama HAS spent well over a Million Dollars to not have to show his personal identification documents AND college and school records.
THAT is verifiable information.

Be aware that most states did not issue birth certificates until the 20th century.

What makes anybody think the Governor or anyone else, besides the person whose b.c. it is, has the RIGHT to just walk in and demand access to somebody’s b.c.? Have NEVER heard of any State Dept. of Vital Records that allows JUST ANYBODY to acquire somebody else’s b.c., except in cases of family history research, where a person has been dead for many years. The only way that a b.c. of a LIVING PERSON will ever be released is WITH the PERMISSION of the person in question. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT in this particular case!
Also, why shouldn’t there be a REQUIREMENT that anybody who runs for the Presidency must submit his b.c. and let it become part of the PUBLIC RECORD? Then we would NEVER have to ponder such gnarly questions–ever. It’s not too late to enact legislation to that effect, by the way… It might not “solve the current mystery,” but it might forego any SECOND TERM.
