MA Dad Accused of Putting Kids in Car Trunk

WCVB: Police said the 35-year-old put his kids, ages 3 and 6, in the trunk of his Pontiac Trans Am for several minutes while he went inside Fall River's Bay Sailing equipment shop to run an errand Tuesday morning.

Hmmmmm….

Stores like the one pictured generally cater to serious sailors, not walk-ins. This tells me that the employee may well have known this guy. Which may explain why he would insist on verifying the whereabouts of the children he had seen standing in the trunk of the car changing clothes. Or, he may just be an unusually observant, AND conscientious good citizen.

In any case, to Bay Sailing Equipment of Fall River, MA, Bravo Zulu, Well Done, and thank you.

I agree if he was so stupid he didn’t give them a flashlight and their PSP’s. C’mon, they’re bored!

wait, this has to be a hoax. this guy is white and at a sailing shop, he’s obviously one of us republican family values types that would never mistreat his kids. now, if he was a colored or a mexican i would believe this. this is a mainstream media hoax.

oh yeah, obama’s a muslim.

Non-story. If the guy did this out of malice and intended harm to the kids, he should have the book thrown at him. If he did it because the kids wanted him to do it, it was really bad judgment and he needs to grow up.

I think it is important to protect children, I AM BIG ON THAT, but I don’t have the right to tell others what is best for their family. I know we used to ride in the back of pick-ups and lay in the back window of the car when we were kids. No seat belts or car seats. Are those things safer and better, I say yes, but parents need to be able to raise their children as they see fit. There is a fine line.

It is Bush’s fault! He voted for Bush (and then petitioned the Supreme Court to steal the election from Gore.)
