30 years… Wow! regardles of his politics, the fact that he has been with this institution means that he must have some strong bonds and allegiances to the CNN corporation. It must have been hard to make this decision to seperate, and because of that I believe he is truly a brave and honorable man.

Dobbs was let go. Too much truth telling about Obama. Good news is, he’ll be scooped up shorty and the only show with ratings CNN had, will be somewhere else. Works for me.

Good for him. He will probably end up at Fox News and will have an audience 5 times larger than he had at CNN.

It sounds to me like Lou is going to run for office.

I was waiting for this to happen. He has been torn down by the left and even his own network for so long and I am proud of him for keeping his values. Good Job. I wonder where he will be working next. Also did you see how bad CNN and the other networks are doing on primetime shows. If you’ve never seen Lou Dobbs interview world leaders, he is one of the best. You don’t see him in the sit-down interview capacity too much because his show was not that type of format, but he is one of the best interviewers in the business. Better than Barbara Walters in my opinion.

When Glenn Beck left just before the presidential election I stopped watching CNN personally. Lou Dobbs was the only reason left to even consider tuning into CNN now he is leaving too? Since CNN ratings rank worse than reruns of The Rockford Files on channel 1098 at 2:00 in the morning, I think it was probably a good move. Woe is Wolfie Blitzed, he is not getting any new invites from the game show circuit he was hoping to bust into, no appearances on Wheel of Fortune or the Price is Right…. poor Blitzed… and Anderson Cooping, well he is just another confused and frustrated gay man that cannot bring himself out of the closet. What does Nader have to do with Lou Dobbs quitting the communist news network? That said, Ralph would be the very last person I’d select for leadership, but he really has done more for America than you’d think. In the role of a consumer advocate he was unparalleled. His cases have saved lives and took on odious corporate corruption. Anyone who’s ever been in an accident and saved by a seat belt at least owes a nod to this man. Prior to this, folks would just smash their heads on the dashboard and die in relatively low speed accidents.

I’ve met him; wouldn’t characterize him as bitter, nor a looser. He’s just so on the band wagon of corporation bashing that he looses perspective. As for the PC stuff, yup, he most certainly is, but then again, he is not the commander and chief, nor could he ever be. The fellow in office now–in my estimation–is the person who’s earned scorn recently.

As for CNN & Dobbs. They needed him, way more then he needed them.
