some observations:

1. Obviously, the IOC decided they could laugh, and keep the money Chicago stuffed in their pockets. That in itself is funny. Watch the crying begin — “we bribed them fair and square….and they screwed us” — call the waaaambulance! 2. A couple of high profile murders by the “natives” makes folks less likely to think of Chicago as a tourist destination. God forbid some country’s team had the “wrong friggin color on” and walked down the street. Chicago is a hole, just like most major cities. It is a hole because we pay people not to work, and have for generations. They have children as a “career” and you have to pay the bills while their children break into your house while you are at work. My city isn’t any better, we have commies running the show here too.

3. There is no public support by the folks who get stuck paying the bills. It does not benefit them. It does not “create jobs” — It’s like the stimulus that we just had to pass immediately without even reading it. How many laid off office chicks do you see driving D-5 Cats on construction sites? Yeah, none.

Here’s the test for creating jobs:

Does it change the financial situation for your employer (tax cuts, less government enforcement on stupid rules, less compliance cost, lower license fees)?

Does it change it for YOU (tax cuts, maybe let you invest some of your own money cheaper)?

Does it give any financial incentive for people to stuff money into business — be that a cap ex break (see 100K for small business cap ex a few years ago), or even a capitol gains cut so more money flows into the market — help out the folks who lost a crap load on their 401k?

If it does none of these things, then no….it won’t create jobs, it’s payola to someone who’s stuffing the money in their pocket in return for support on the campaign trail.

4. Obama is turning into a doormat. It would actually be funny if it wasn’t scary. The guy gets no respect cause everyone knows he’s a wuss. Mark Lloyd said he had thousands of emails from people demanding that Rush be taken off the air and he was going to see what process he could use to do this.
