Limbaugh Explains Past Comment About Media’s View of McNabb

"I said exactly what I meant."

Bill Smith   October 13th, 2009 - 10:37 am

A very unfortunate place to end the clip. That very last remark will get misquoted as rush saying “No” in answer to her question.

Woody   October 13th, 2009 - 10:57 am

It’s hard for media “elites” to understand why (and how) some people refuse to be constrained by a politically “correct” lifestyle.

Keep talking, dummy!   October 13th, 2009 - 11:13 am

“I said exactly what I meant.” Of course you did. And that is why they threw your bigoted butt off of the air and why the NFL treats you as the pariah that you are when team ownership is concerned.

Rush is irrelevant   October 13th, 2009 - 11:14 am

What’s with all the Rush articles? Did he buy Breitbart.com?

Blacks support the Democrat party which party members are known to have lyn-ched 3400 blacks and lyn-ched 1400 white conservatives that helped blacks. That is one of the strangest aspects of US history, how the lyn-ching party of Southern Democrats are now the friends of the black community. Blacks supporting Democrats are a pretty odd lot if you think about it.

But it is not without a reason. LBJ spoke the reason the best in 1956, by understanding that blacks were becoming a political force ever since Republicans pushed to give blacks the vote. Classy LBJ put it this way “Neg-roes are getting uppity, but they have a reason to be uppity. They are gaining political sway. So we have to give them something. Not enough to make a difference, but enough to keep them quiet.”

So the new Democrat approach to blacks, starting with LBJ was to figure out ways to give things to blacks to keep them quiet but, in order to satisfy the racist Democrats, make sure that the something that the Democrats were to give to blacks would not be enough to make a difference. In other words, make the implied ignorant blacks think they were getting something to make a difference but in reality just be enough to keep them quiet.

So here we are today, with Democrat leaders, mostly white, chastising any black person that has the nerve to leave the Democrat plantation, and reminding them, much like LBJ planned, that it is the Democrats that give them their “something to keep them quiet but not enough to make a difference.”

Am I being overly dramatic? Well, review how well the black communities are doing after all their support for the Democrat (those that lynched 3400 of them) party. They show the worst statistics in every meaningful social category. I wonder what things would be like for blacks if they actually followed the Republican way of self determination, self motivation, personal responsibility, and a lack of government dependency. I am sure it would not have been worse.

The “Democrats” that “lyn-ched” blacks were Dixicrats that then happily jumped to the GOP when they turned to the Dark Side. Why was that? Everyone knows that bigoted Conservative Christians are the base of the GOP. Abe Lincoln would not be welcome in the present party of Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, and Newtie with Rushbo as their mouthpiece. Do you seriously think that if Limbaugh lived during the time of Honest Abe that he would have supported him? I think not. More than likely he would have raged on about “Government interfering” in the rights of states to own slaves.

kmichaels   October 13th, 2009 - 1:47 pm

The Democrats that lyn-ched 3400 blacks were DEMOCRATS. The DEMOCRAT party has been fighting the civil rights for blacks party, the Republicans for over a hundred years. This lame BS that it was not part and parcel of the Democrat party is just lunatic revision of reality. There is no sign or evidence that Democrats that were racists joined the Republican party. Byrd, KKK member stuck with the Democrats and is a Senator today. David Duke was a Democrat up until 1989, when he lost to a less vocal racist Democrat and switched parties. When David Duke, DEMOCRAT, switched to Republican he was immediately and vocally told to go to hell by the Republicans. The Democrats never said anything against David Duke while he was Democrat, strangely. Abe Lincoln, who was Republican, did much to free blacks, but even he had his problems. During the earlier Lincoln Douglass debate Lincoln made it clear that he was not asking for Blacks to have voting rights. So he had things he needed to improve on himself. However, when voting rights did come for blacks it was the Republican party in favor of it and the Democrat party against it.

In 1964 Democrats were only 69 percent in favor of the 1964 civil rights bill while 80% of Republicans were in favor of it. LJB called the “neg-roes uppity” and stated that Democrats should start giving them “a little something to keep them quiet, not enough to make a difference, just enough to keep them quiet.”

There is no evidence that Republicans are racist as a group, either early in our history or now. However, since we are against counter-productive giveaway programs and Democrats like LBJ used such programs as vote buying schemes then idiots like “dummy” above continue to lie about our acts and our intentions.

The football players have said what they meant too! My bet is Limpballs won’t be owning an NFL franchise anytime soon.

Rut should probably consider sponsoring a local high school team instead. That way he can still enjoy his hobby of jock-sniffing.

yo   October 13th, 2009 - 3:00 pm

I wonder what whatwhatwhat’s life is like? To be blinded by that much hatred and insecurity can only lead to failure. Whatwhatwhat look in the mirror and ponder the question why is my life so miserable? The answer is in your beliefs. Your beliefs alter your perception and thus your reality. The poor are slaves of the politicans and yet they don’t even realize it.

Scott   October 13th, 2009 - 4:24 pm

I absolutely cannot stand Rush Limbaugh and his ridiculous views on the “left.” But it seems to me that any time a white person says something disparaging about a black person, or even a black movement, that person is deemed a racist. What he said is absolutely true. It does seem that the NFL wants their black QBs, even their black coaches painted in a positive light.

Does his comment set back the black movement? Perhaps. That doesn’t make it any less true. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are probably two of the most racist public figures in America today. But nothing they say gets labeled as such. It’s an unfair parallel, but it is what it is I suppose.

Keep talking, Dummy!   October 13th, 2009 - 6:01 pm

Scott,
I actually don’t believe that Limbaugh is a racist. He is just an ignorant pig that likes to say idiotic things on the radio to incite the numbskulls that waste three hours a day listening to him. The NFL doesn’t need him or want him and for good reason(s).

Whatwhatwhat   October 13th, 2009 - 6:12 pm

Nice try Scott. You’re called a racists because you said or did something that WAS racist. Not because you disagree. You can disagree without being racist unless of course you’re a Breitard who can’t resist a racist jab.

LadybugsTX   October 14th, 2009 - 6:52 pm

Having only this clip to go by, where is his comment racist? If McNabb sucked as a quarterback, he sucked, doesn’t matter what color he is. If he’s getting a free pass because he is one of a few black quarterbacks, even though he sucks, then how is it racist to call that out? I guess it’s the same thing with Oblahma. If you think he’s an incompetent (and why wouldn’t he be? He’s never managed anything in his life, worked a real job in his life and was only in politics a few short years), and you call him on it, you are a racist. What, black people don’t have to meet standards because of the color of their skin? That seems kind of racist to me, and it certainly isn’t fair to people of color who work hard to meet the standards of their profession and are successful.

culpeperson   October 14th, 2009 - 9:20 pm

kmichaels,

Obviously you have not read your history books. Many of the southern Democrats that
you sight that were openly racist, left the Democratic party and became Republicans after
the Civil War. They continued their affilation with the KKK, states rights and black
voter intimidation.

Also unlike other immigrants, inslaved blacks had the culture, pride and heritage
beatten out of them, our women were raped and men who were smart and self motivation
were killed. Unlike Jews, Irish, Brits, Germans, blacks have no cultural heritage
, customs or traditions to pass down as we were captured at gunpoint
in Afica. Despite that, we now have elected a half black President.
