The fact that the press are all over this and have even named the picture ‘capturing’ this “historical moment”- calling it “The Dover Salute” says it all. Bush met regularly with the families of fallen soldiers to comfort them, and never considered allowing the press to photograph these moments.

I went to the funeral of a guy I knew named Tony. Tony was mob-connected, so sudden death doesn’t come as a surprise in that lifestyle. The guy that killed him was his best friend. He spoke at Tony’s funeral and was a pallbearer. He talked about finding the guy that did this, blah blah.
I got the same feeling watching this Obama Photo-Op.

Where are the 40,000 additional troops the military has requested? Maybe those guys wouldn’t be dead today.

The guy that killed Tony supposedly got 50 grand. Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize and more than a million bucks. I can see why he thinks the Free-Market sucks.

Anyone who doesn’t see that this weakling President is being so easily manipulated by nothing more than a small band of Left-Wing European intellectuals is blind. And that these pathetic gestures ignore the solid steps he could take to possibly prevent Americans returning home dead, but won’t, so he doesn’t have to face the embarrassment of accepting his Peace Prize while at the same time reinforcing our troops in Afghanistan.

His dithering on Afganistan is disgraceful. I thought it was a nice photo op… and a little more meaningful than that “Mission Accomplished” photo op, eh?

GOP they were two entirely different situations. Bush even regretted that he had done that. When people were doing and saying this about Bush, they were un-American and didn’t support the troops and wanted to destroy God and America. But not that that team isn’t in power, the same people who called them un-American are doing it now. Now all the Right Wingers are bashing the President, calling for impeachment, comparing him to Hitler and generally being stupid and uneducated. But are you in the wrong for it? Naw, it’s pro-American if you do it but un-American if you’re the one being protested. How does it feel being a hypocrite? You have no counter argument. It’s that simple. You do it it is American, someone else does it it is un-American.

It’s so funny to see such a large group of what ammounts to sore losers.

If the photo of him saluting returning troops is bad, then the “Mission” sign was AT LEAST equal. Because nothing was over, so it was a slap in the face to all our troops still fighting and dying.

Conservative talk radio dominates the airwaves and Fox News is the number 1 “news” station in America. You can stop whining about the media now. Please define what makes you a “real” American. And then in turn, please describe to me what makes me (you seem to think I am) a “fake” American. And if you don’t think that of me, what makes anyone a “fake” American.

Then I want you to answer this question: Why are you better for speaking out now than people who spoke out in the past? What makes your speak “real” and speak from one to eight years ago “fake”? Are you implying that you have been and always will be right? Are you implying that you are incapable of being wrong? Are you implying others are incabple of being right?

You said you don’t need me? What does that mean? Are you implying that as a “real” American, it is better for me to be gotten rid of than accepted? Are you saying that “real” Americans simply ignore or cast aside someone who thinks differently? As a “real” American, shouldn’t you accept me and my position even if you don’t agree with it? Shouldn’t you accept me?

I hold no position in “anyone’s” White House. Are you saying that it isn’t currently “your” White House? Are you saying this because you don’t like the man in charge? I didn’t care much for George W. Bush, but he was always MY President and always stayed in MY White House. Heaven forbid anything happen to him, but I would have mourned and respected any harm upon him. Had any nation tried to harm us I’d have supported his every action in fighting back (i.e. Afghanistan). He might not have been very bright, but he WAS and IS my President. If he ever came to my city to speak, I’d go see him in a heartbeat. He did many amazing things, but he also did many poor things. But are you saying that you don’t feel the same way about President Obama? Do you wish harm upon him? Do you not support anything he does or stands for?

And what am I going to do when I lose position in “your” White House? Well, nothing. I have no position in any White House. Nor does anything change for me if a Republican gets elected to it. I’m not like you Eileen. I’m not divisive and militant. I don’t post “don’t tread on me” in my signature, because unlike you, I actually understand what it originally stood for. It was a patriotic message (specifically for Marines) about how a country must UNIFY and stand tall in the face of adversity. You’re using it as the opposite. You’re using it to divide and threaten (or more specifically, the exact opposite of what it was invented for).

And then there is the silly “impeachment or the ‘original’ Kenyan birth certificate. Name one thing he has done worthy of impeachment (beyond disagreeing with you). And give the birth certificate thing a rest. It’s as silly as the National Guard documents. And guess what, I didn’t care about that either.

You’re a hypocrite Eileen. You define “real” Americans as people who only agree with you and your cause. You use the slogan from the Gadsden flag to divide rather than unify and you attack anything that goes against what you are told to beleive.

Your argument is flawed. Several ways. You must define this “attack” I am guilty of first and foremost. Then, after you identify that, you must show your facts as to how I am engaging in that behavior. Have you done this?

Thus is the rules of an argument. You MUST use logic, otherwise your claims are unfounded and can’t be taken seriously. You are assuming things not only about me, but about our country. You called our President and his administration “evil”. That is highly opinionated and emotional, two things a logical argument must be devoid of. In other words, your substituting your opinion for fact and then trying to pass it off as fact. Based on the evidence I have in front of me (your posts), I can conclude it is because you have no argument or original thought. You’re regurgitating what others have said and told you to say.

And how dare you question my patriotism or love for my country? Who are you and what gives you that right? The further irony is that you attack me for judgments and actions that you yourself have been doing every post on this board. Again, you are a hypocrite.

Your continued insistence I am a “fake” American an you are a “real” one is disgusting and shameful. If this is what you beleive our country needs I weep for the possibility. You’re far more elitist than anyone I know and you are blinded by ignorance and opinion. I pity you more than anything. I pity all like you.

And I will not move or step aside, as I fight for what I beleive. Which is what you used to define a “real” American. So I actually just proved, using your definition, that I am as “real” as you.
