Lieberman on Party Switch: ‘All Options are Open’

"It's unlikely I'd run as a Republican, but I wouldn't foreclose any possibility. I think the more likely thing is that I'd run as an independent because that's what I am."

If Lieberman votes for the health care bill, it shows he’s just another politician who can be bought off. Do we have ANY leaders remaining? They all eventually show they have no backbone.

Who needs another one like him in the GOP, don’t we have too many already?

What defines a Republican, anyway? Shouldn’t they subscribe to and endorse the National Republican Platform?

RNC   December 16th, 2009 - 12:56 pm

We don’t want another RINO.

Donna   December 16th, 2009 - 1:20 pm

Forget it, Leiberman. You would be no better than Susan
Collins and Olympia Snowe….both Rinos….

if he wants to run as a pub he better filibuster. No way he gets re-elected now because he is in no mans land. Liberals already hate him and if he votes for the bill, conservatives will too.

Isn’t he a member of the Likud party?

coreyj0724   December 16th, 2009 - 4:13 pm

He is a member of the “I’ll do whatever it takes to get me re-elected, even if it means switching parties, so please Barack (Jesus) Obama give my state more taxpayer money” party. Just like 99% of the dirtbags in Washington.

Joe, Joe, the dog faced boy...   December 16th, 2009 - 4:17 pm

Actually, Joe Leiberman joining the Republican party would be great! He comes from a state that would never elect a Republican otherwise and having him to caucus with the GOP would deny the Demoncrats leadership votes and give the GOP the best it could get from a state that sucks the teat of the liberal muthuhship.

GOP watch what ya wish for.
Lieberman I’d give you with a bow stuck on his head.
