‘Liberal Lion of the Senate’: Ted Kennedy Dead at 77

AP: For nearly a half-century in the Senate, Kennedy was a dominant voice on health care, civil rights, war and peace, and more. To the American public, though, he was best known as the last surviving brother of a storied political family.

All he ever did was pick my pockets, now he has the same power as a hand full of dirt.

Thank you Senator Kennedy for a life of devoted service to the nation. Our politics have deteriorated to a sad of affairs since the times that you and even Ronald Reagan could sit down at the end of the day, have a drink and realize that even though we disagree we could ALL still be TRUE AMERICANS.

Mary Jo Kopechne   August 26th, 2009 - 3:50 am

whaaa!!!!

RIP my old friend…

Thank you for make a difference!

Rose Marie Kennedy   August 26th, 2009 - 4:16 am

They say my brother was ‘Liberal Lion of the Senate’…they might mean a ‘Liberal Lyin’ in the Senate.

My daddy had me lobotomized when I was 23, and later wrote letters full of anti-Semitic stuff because he and his lover hated Jews: They looked at Adolf Hitler as a welcome solution to “world problems”…

I miss you Teddy…

Skepticus   August 26th, 2009 - 5:14 am

Ted Kennedy should be given a burial at sea. His body could be heaved overboard from a bridge on Chappaquidick Island.

Barney   August 26th, 2009 - 5:27 am

His body should be fed to the fishes.

Stanley   August 26th, 2009 - 5:27 am

Only, they wouldn’t eat it. They have better taste.

Felture Bummer   August 26th, 2009 - 5:33 am

Stiff and still lie Ted Kennedy’s bones
O Death it’s my opinion
You never took such a festering skunk
Into your dark dominion.

You Suck, Ted Kennedy   August 26th, 2009 - 5:44 am

Its a great day! I have been looking forward to this day for a very long time. This lousy, stinkin’, rotten SOB got a lot longer to reflect on his evil life than Mary Jo got. A family of murderers, rapists, drug addicts, tax cheats, philanderers, commie sympathizers, stalkers, bribe takers, drunkards, full of dirty tricks and underhanded tactics, threatening those who wouldn’t go along with their schemes, changing laws when they didn’t suit them and then changing them back when they did. Ted, the world is a much better place without the likes of you. Knock one more off my wish list.

Ed Schultz   August 26th, 2009 - 5:50 am

I can’t wait to go over there and urinate on his grave.

Dashark   August 26th, 2009 - 6:11 am

May skunks urinate on his grave daily. Commie bastard!! He did loved the Black Panthers, Move on.org and ACORN the destroyers of America.
America rejoice! Your most brutal enemy is dead!

Kenny C   August 26th, 2009 - 6:31 am

It’s also a great day for Mary Jo…..she’s waiting for you Teddy Boy……she been waiting a long time…..I can she her hugging you now……or is that strangling you just to make sure you’re dead

Dan   August 26th, 2009 - 6:33 am

A true traitor of the American people and our values. A hypocrit and leader of mediocrity. A leader of the Democrat Party. America should be ashamed of such a disgrace!

john g.   August 26th, 2009 - 6:38 am

Sorry……….actually I’m not. May God have mercy on his soul.

Contrary to popular belief most of his family is despicable.
He was not only a vile human being, but a criminal.

John Fraud sKerry   August 26th, 2009 - 6:56 am

I’ve waited forever not to be the Junior Senator….Yippie!!!!

Jason   August 26th, 2009 - 7:03 am

You’re not helping the cause out in anyway by reverting to petty and immature liberal style comments.
Leave that to the lurkers at Daily Kos and HuffPo.

I have no positive memories of ted kennedy. None whatsoever.

dave   August 26th, 2009 - 7:13 am

I can’t think of any other senator who’s done more damage to our nation by altering its original framework and concepts than this son of a bitch.
Farewell to the man who was kicked out of Harvard for cheating.
Farewell to the drunken louse who was fooling around on his 8 month pregnant wife while driving another into a canal.
Now we must endure the leftwing media having tearful farewells for this fat bastard for the next month.

David Peterson   August 26th, 2009 - 7:14 am

Now I pity him. He has to stand in God’s judgement.

TruthTeller   August 26th, 2009 - 7:15 am

Also don’t mean disrespect for the dead, but Mr. Kennedy- your brand of evil, mindless, self serving ultra-liberalism, complete with class warfare and no accountability for the true evil-doers will not be missed, except by the other evil ones in congress.

You may rest in peace, but somehow I really doubt that. You have caused SO much harm to so many people, including poor murdered Mary Jo and her grieving family, that I suspect another, much warmer place was awaiting you…

How ironic and typical that up to his very last days, he was trying to manipulate the laws of the United States to serve his own selfish ends.

I’m sorry for your family, but in truth- Goodbye Sir, and good riddance.

Jason   August 26th, 2009 - 7:20 am

Who’s Ted Kennedy?

DA BEARRRS   August 26th, 2009 - 7:42 am

And Mary Jo Kopechne would have been 69 this year if she hadn’t known Ted.

Pretty sad when the media heaps praise on a murderer and his victim is forgotten.

Norm   August 26th, 2009 - 7:50 am

Right now over at Marxist’s Vineyard, Wacky’s teleprompter is working on a few solemn lies to say over the dead body of Ted Kennedy.

conservativeandproud   August 26th, 2009 - 7:55 am

This gonna be another one of those media circus acts like the MJ death thing? What it took about 10 weeks for “how great MJ was” to fall out of the news cycles…and he was a perv.

So I wonder how long “how great TK was” will be in the news…no matter to me because I never watch the news, just pick the articles I wish to read online. I don’t need the MSM to tell me how I should feel about TKs death.

No loss politically, that’s for sure.

RIP, Teddy.   August 26th, 2009 - 8:15 am

Reading the comments of the BB conservative idiots on this site remind me of why I refuse to go to church. I am sure that you are all devote, God-fearing, Jesus-loving, freaks many of whom probably also play with rattlesnakes. Jesus taught what? I seem to recall love, compassion, forgiveness…you know…that stuff. You people practice judgmentalism, hate, fear, and loathing without a trace of compassion or forgiveness yet you have the nerve to call yourselves Christians. People posting here keep referring to the Great Judgment that we will all face eventually and how “unbelievers” face eternal damnation. Perhaps you should look at a mirror and consider your own fate. I think that God, in whatever manifestation He has, would rather have the company of a good non-believer than a self-righteous hypocrite.

claspur   August 26th, 2009 - 8:33 am

I wish I could get a look-see at John and Bobby kicking the crapola out of their libtard brother right now.

Norm   August 26th, 2009 - 8:43 am

@ RIP Teddy

Oh yeah we should all be stricken with grief and sadness over Ted Kennedy, a filthy focking exam cheating scumball who ran away from a car accident leaving a woman to die an hour later.

Good luck to you oh scholarly one.

CommonSense   August 26th, 2009 - 8:47 am

I wish everyone who passes to R.I.P. but I’m not going to lose a minute of sleep seeing any of these life long politicians who have worked to tear down aspect of American Freedom finally get out of their cushy chairs.
And as far as this guy goes – he was one of the worst politicians we’ve had – and don’t get me started about the “eye fo an eye” regarding that poor girl who was left to die in a car that was submerged in a Chappaquiddick Bay after Ted crashed it. Good riddance.
Those of you who now want to use “God” as a justification to uphold a reputation that people like Ted wanted to be remebered for are disgusting. Where were you with your thoughts of after life when he did the things that he did?

TO RIP TEDDY.
No,I’m not a “god fearing church goer”,I’m an atheist who could not stand watching the lies and damage that this man singlehandedly did to this nation.
Kennedey was a turd who was kicked out of Harvard for cheating and we all know of his terrible scam at Chappaquiddick.
It’s too bad that there isn’t a hell for his rotten stinking corpse!

Dave   August 26th, 2009 - 8:58 am

The biggest downside to being an atheist is knowing that there isn’t a hell for this fat, arrogant liberal pig.

Hickok   August 26th, 2009 - 9:06 am

Kennedy was ahead of his time. He was instrumental in starting the first Cash For Clunkers Program. The clunker you see below was pulled from Chappaquiddick(after removing a body) on Martha’s Vineyard 40 years ago.

Female   August 26th, 2009 - 9:08 am

RIP, Teddy – I look in the mirror and see a female. I don’t know if you have noticed, but females have a way of dying or being mistreated around the Kennedy clan.

We’re not all Jesus freaks here. Just so you know. Stop trying to drop the guilt trip. Ted is the only one that should feel guilty for what he did. I suppose you would like Mary Jo’s family to feel bad that he died. Maybe you should take a look in the mirror.

Eddie   August 26th, 2009 - 9:12 am

I have two statements.

As a fellow human being who knows, as we all do, the hurt of losing a family member, God Bless him and his remaining relatives.

As far as his political and private life goes, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. He was another of the mega-powerful New England liberals who helped get us into the situation we are in at this time. I will not mis that or seeing the Kennedy name plastered all over the news. I suppose we’ll get the next aircraft carrier named after him? Hope it doesn’t sink.

Kenny C   August 26th, 2009 - 9:15 am

Hey Teddy…..you left some “Legacy” here……too bad you were a cumalot otherwise you might have been Pressydent…..yeah you couldn’t leave it in your pants……just like your two brothers who couldn’t leave Marlyn alone…your sorry azz ole man who sold weapons to the enemy was a real gem also…..now we will have to listen to a bunch of bull sheit about how great you were…..and those who have to spout this crap will be gagging later

Gov. Paterson   August 26th, 2009 - 9:16 am

Finally!
Hey, can I have that job?

Hickok   August 26th, 2009 - 9:17 am

Kennedy’s son Patrick has already started with carrying on his father’s legacy. He is an uber liberal U.S. Representative from Rhode Island who, in the last few years has:
1. Been in 3 different substance abuse clinics in the last 3 years, but never telling anyone for what substances.
2. Admitted to using unprescribed Oxycontin.
3. Been in two separate early morning car crashes, and each time was given a ride home by the police, as opposed to the standard Field Sobriety Test.
4. Stood up on the House of Representatives floor and said, “I don’t know economics, I’ve never worked a f*ckin day in my life.”
5. Took at date on a boat and left her stranded. She was all alone, and had to call the Coast Guard to rescue her.
6. The boat owner sued him for $50,000 damages to the rented boat.
7. Violently pushed an African American female security guard at LAX airport when he was late for a flight.
So R.I.P. Teddy, Patrick will carry on the family tradition just fine.

poetopoet   August 26th, 2009 - 9:19 am

There once was senator named Ted
His follies and dollies are well read
The senator joins them in Hell today
His pro-abortion stand became a law
Because this bastard wants them dead
Extra, extra marital affairs don’t count
When he screws you bimbos just kill it
That was his motto and his claim to fame
The church is going to bury him anyway
With all their other bastards and whores
Who lived to long the suffering bastard.

Reverend Right   August 26th, 2009 - 9:21 am

The correct thing would be for the Obama family to toss a memorial wreath on Poucha Pond while they’re on the Vineyard and say a prayer for MaryJo.

chucksierra   August 26th, 2009 - 9:24 am

There is no Conservative and there is no Liberal once you pass, so I refuse to stoop to the typical low levels of the ilk that spoke so vile of the recent passing of Robt Novak. It was truly despicable the comments made once someone dies, especially if you have no belief in the after-life and accountability.

Kennedy might have done some good things, but his legacy will always be foreshadowed by one tragic event.
Rightly or wrongly, that’s the way it’ll be and no one can change that.

But, rest assured, he and Mary Jo will be having a chat!

WTF??   August 26th, 2009 - 9:38 am

Ahh….The good old Breitfart trolls show their true colors as always….

I hope the Far Right Wing Wacko Rethuglican’t machine are happy and smug today. I believe they knew Sen. Kennedy was not going to make it to September. I also believe that the Obama White house knew that as well. I think that was the big push to have healthcare passed in August in order to honor this great man before he died. Unfortunately, the Rethugs did everything in their power to make sure that he did not get that honor. I truly believe this was one of their agendas, and as a result will only electrify the progressive base and make all of this, the Rethugs even larger final demise…. thank God!

RIP Teddy :-(

He taught others to take from their neighbors

Nobody here has made mention or even cares that the maggots have perhaps the greatest task in this tragedy. They must choke down the bloated carcass of this pathetic Marxist fat @ss. Farse Fark B Fonds fhatfhatfhat   August 26th, 2009 - 11:34 am

I wonder how much money Ted Kennedy has cost the American taxpayer over the years with all his handout programs? A lot of people have shaken the dust off their shoes when he comes to this fat pig. He will probably gag some of the maggots that eat his liver and that is hard to do.

I hope Mary Joe has a lot of dog s h i t on her shoes that fat boy Ted has to lick off. Ted did not serve in Viet Nam by the way. He probably wanted to President really bad but the ghost of Mary Joe took care of that. I guess people that supported him didn’t care that the drunken b a s t a r d drowned someone in his car and didn’t report it till the next morning.

Dayum Right   August 26th, 2009 - 11:34 am

Teddy is burning in he77 right now for the murder of Mary Joe Kopechne. http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Jo_Kopechne

Left Handed   August 26th, 2009 - 12:03 pm

Something has gone seriously wrong with the Republican Party. They have allowed the far right extremist to hijacked the party.

The far right with their lack of empathy and conscience. The right-wing-driven qualities such as the unbridled viciousness toward those daring to disagree with them.As seen in the comments on this forum

There would be no President Obama without Sen. Kennedy — not just because of the well-timed endorsement that brought a political dynasty behind an upstart’s campaign, but because of the work of decades that made a candidacy like Obama’s possible in the first place.
Kennedy’s dream of Universal Health lives on.We will get there because the moral arc of the universe is long but always bend toward the just and justice.

R.I.P.Edward Moore Kennedy, you make me proud to be a liberal.

No matter what Ted Kennedy has done in his professional life…he was still a father, a husband, a son, an uncle and so on.

So to the Kennedy family, I extend my sympathy in the loss of your loved one…and pray for peace in the coming days as you lay your loved one to rest!========================

And to America…I say that under this “government run” healthcare Ted Kennedy would not have been considered a good candidate or worthy of their funds to prolong his life.

He led a useless and damaging life in his early years. It was amazing that he lived to be 77!

He had a major drinking problem…he abused his body considerably and did nothing of worth in his early years…he even killed Mary Jo that late night when he was a coward and did not try to remove her from that car.

But he tried to redeem himself in later years trying to do good deeds…but under this new “government run” healthcare…it would not have mattered. Had he been an average American, like the rest of us, he would have been dead or given pills to die along time ago.

I just heard this terrible story about a woman in Oregon where they have these death panels. She had cancer and could have survived a longer time with proper care and treatment. The treatments/pills would have been over $4,000 a month…and beyond her means.

She appealed to the Oregon “death panel” to help her…they sent her back a letter denying her need for help with the treatments. They did say that they would, however, provide her the pills to do herself in.

The pharmaceutical company that made the pills she needed to live…provided them free for one year and then no more. She died without the care she needed and after being pronounced useless to be kept living!

That is what Ted Kennedy would have deserved under the Bilderberg Bush-Obama’s “government run” healthcare!

This plan is unamerican and unhuman and it needs to be thrown away yesterday!

Keep fighting America…this battle is ours for the taking! Never ever give up…never give in.

We will win this war created by Bilderberg Bush-Obama…one battle at a time and one day at a time!

United we stand…divided we fall!

OH, and btw, MJ is STILL NOT yet interred….I heard it will not happen until a private evening ceremony on
“9/3 or 9/4 at Holly Terrace in the great mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA.”

So what now, will they (the Marxists, Commies, Libbies, etc. of Obama’s ilk) prop up his corpse in the
Rotunda of the Capital until Halloween as some sort of creepy Irish-Wake-Trick-or-Treat spectacle???

Good grief….NO, GOOD RIDDANCE, Ted…..

I do not share the leftist view that the Kennedy family was one to revere and aspire to be like or even respect. They always wanted a double standard and lived one. They wanted the people of this country to do one thing while they did another. And for that they paid a heavy price. This country if it survives the civil revolt that is coming will not miss him. He was not a true believer in the Constitution of the USA as is the case with many of our elitest politicians in Washington. Prepare for the worst patriots but hope for the best. These leftist Progressives have to be defeated. Obama is the show man while all the takeover is going on in the showdows. Those bomb shelters that were built in the 60s may be needed to protect us from our own government. PUSH BACK

kmichaels   August 26th, 2009 - 7:28 pm

My sympathy lies with the taxpayers that had their pockets picked daily by the fat arsed liberal that left an innocent woman to die while he made sure to save himself. Drunk driver killed a person and he got off because he had money. Then that consummate drunk ripped off the American taxpayer so that he could buy more votes from the poor and uneducated. Ding dong, the witch is dead, and none to soon and forty years too late.
