Leno on Letterman Promo: ‘A Good Joke Is a Good Joke’

"It was great to see my old friend again."

Dateline: Burbank, CA
Conan the Barb   February 9th, 2010 - 7:54 am

“A good joke is a good joke”

… and this commercial was what? frankly it was a stroke of ego for all three of them – as if anyone cares about your feuds. just juggle and talk about something other than yourselves please. better yet, all three of you should retire and let Conan take all three shows. Even if he sat there picking his nose, it would be a hundred times funnier than anything you guys have done in the last ten + years.

Oh please – get over it – Conan is off the air because he simply wasn’t funny. He didn’t become “beloved” until he was being taken off – suddenly, everyone was stunned that he was being displaced. Where were all you rabid Conan fans when he was actually on the air?

Leno still isn’t funny – Letterman is usually funny. The true funnyman of late night is Craig Ferguson.

Conan the Barb   February 9th, 2010 - 8:46 am

Craig Ferguson??? O.k., you’re opinion is officially worthless. Carry on.

Matt a tat tat   February 9th, 2010 - 9:40 am

Craig Ferguson is hilarious! I used to love watching his show when I was in the U.S. He’s definitely my favorite of the late night talk show hosts.

The ad wasn’t even that clever or funny- fair at best…

SubjectofUSSA   February 9th, 2010 - 11:35 am

Saw this during the game, thought it was stupid then, is stupid now.

LenoAtElevenThirty   February 9th, 2010 - 11:52 am

Watched Conan….once. Unappealing.

Watched Letterman…twice…obnoxious.

Watch Leno….regularly. Family-style humor, okay for kids.

…….why most tv addicts don’t like Leno….to soft…no
vulgarities and gutter slime talk.

I see that you don’t know the difference between “your” and “you’re” – ?? Well, I guess your (note correct spelling) opinion is clearly worth even less. Not surprising for a Conan fan. Are you Andy Richter, by any chance?

But hey, thanks for playing!

Conan the Barb   February 9th, 2010 - 2:16 pm

Logon, forgive my spelling error, I started out writing “you’re an @s$” but thought I’d give you the benefit of the doubt and hastily changed it (clearly a mistake). Have a seat now, and give your mind a rest.

“Late Night” logo flash was so short it was essentially a commercial for David, Jay, and Oprah. I won’t be surprised if all three pitched in to pay for it and they had to say it was a Letterman commercial because it was on CBS.

Hey Barb – your boy Conan clearly has the illiterate foulmouth vote locked up, if you’re any indication of the rest of his fans (what few of you there actually are).

Hey though – good news – there’s still time to hitch your wagon to another IQ-appropriate show – I hear “Jacka$s” still needs viewers. Although, don’t be confused – it isn’t a show about you.

Kristal888   February 9th, 2010 - 8:50 pm

Let’s be honest. Most of us have an uncle or a cousin who’s way funnier than any of these guys.

Conan the Barb   February 10th, 2010 - 12:17 am

“Jacka$s”? … oh yea, that CBS program on at 12:30… no thanks, I already told you, I like Conan better.
