I am just glad that people, after 9/11 are now more willing to stand up against extremists or questionable people on these flights. People are understanding that no matter what, if that person gets control of the plane or lets off a bomb, no matter the size. Those passengers will most likely die, or stand up and stop the attack. So it is up to you, take things into your own hands and maybe live or die sitting on your butt.

I have never felt more secure because of the TSA’s presence at the airports. My 80 year old uncle of Norwegian descent was searched so I know they are not using “profiling”. What I do worry about is the thievery result from their search of my checked bags. 17% of airport theft is from the TSA whereas the other 83% is from common criminals allowed to do hit and run throughout the baggage collection areas. It is time to dismantle Napolitano and the TSA: the TSA was created to give jobs to unemployed and it has not reduced the unemployment numbers.

You individuals who insist on making racist like comments are making the debate much more difficult to get qualified individuals for jobs. Do I believe that having unions run our national security? Absolutely not! Look at our educational system. There are many unqualified individuals in the teaching profession and they are kept in place by NTA and “union like” mentalities. We need the most qualified individuals in place in securing our airports. Unionizing minimizes that process. Acquiring qualified individuals(degreed in safety related fields) will require paying them well but I believe it will increse the odds toward better national safety. I grew up in a two union household “teachers and operating engineers” and I can affirm that unions are all about more and more and more benefits for less effort. It’s basically an caste system where “It’s not what you know it’s who you blow”. I watched as my father and his union buddies sat around on their butt’s in the Union Hall collecting paychecks for doing nothing when the construction season was over. Unions once served a good purpose but have outlived their usefulness and need to go the way of the dinosaur.

1) Companies DO want to earn a profit. That’s the whole motivation for going into business in the first place. I work pure contract, No Work. No Pay. I earn a good living. I work for a company that has many segments, some have unions and the others don’t, guess which are the least profitable segments. Business creates jobs government only does so because it has business to tax, run off the business and you run off the tax base. Just ask cities like Detroit, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh how much the unions really helped? PLEASE.
2) So China and India the two fastest growing economies in the world are a bunch of 3rd worlders because they don’t have unions? Visit China or India and tell me that with a straight face.
America is no longer a manufacturing economy (to it’s detriment I will say) Unions don’t seem to have figured that out yet. When is enough going to be enough for unions like the UAW? When the last automotive plant closes and moves it’s manufacturing offshore? That’s what the steelworkers unions accomplished for the steel industry. When unions stop selfishly demanding that business has to foot the bill to satisfy the unions interests and start working together with them to create balance I will reconsider my position.
I will never believe that unions have a place in government and I believe Reagan didn’t go far enough. He should have a canned ALL unions in government not just the Air Traffic Controllers. It’s called “Public Service” and the taxpayers should never have to foot the bill to satisfy a union mamberships selfish interests.
